Character who break your heart when they cry

A little talk I had with megaeliz made me realize I have plenty of characters who I just cannot see crying unless I too cry. To make this less listy put a short comment by the character-

-Miss Piggy: Especially since it takes quite a lot to make her cry. The Muppet's Christmas Carol is the worst when it comes to this.

-Dorothy Zbornak from The Golden Girls: God. I just realized this when typing the above, best golden girl. The final scene of The Golden Girls always destroys me. Thank you for being a friend.

-Natsumi Manatsu and Sango Suzumura from Precure: God, Ai Farouz can act. The scene where she cries for Laura not to leave her. And Sango's quiet Tender Tears over this... just...

-Chopper from One Piece: God this little guy really earned his happy ending. I will always love Oda and Toei for telling his story.

Basically, any character who's ordinarily either very cheerful (e.g. Pinkie Pie) or The Stoic (e.g. Spock.

For every low there is a high.

For me it honestly depends on context. I'll be sad if a character cries after a particular tragedy or hardship, but I find it hard to be sad for a character if I don't care about or sympathize with the problem they have. It doesn't matter who's the one actually crying at that point.

This is so true, especially when children cry. When they cry over some silly thing its annoying but when they are crying over something genuinely heartbreaking there is nothing sadder.

I can't remember if Gingivere Greeneyes cried when he was betrayed by his sister and thrown in the dungeon. But if he did, I would burst into the castle just for the chance to comfort him.

I'm neutral about the meme, but she was beautiful.

Onion in the Steven Universe episode "Onion Gang". Yes, he can be a holy terror creepy kid that has committed all sorts of mischief, but he's still a little kid who has emotions like being sad his friends are leaving at the end of the summer.

Seeing shy, timid characters cry can be quite devastating (Fluttershy is one example, even her friends seem to agree if "Tanks for the Memories" is anything to go by).
