(I'm aware this topic early as it's not spooky season yet so shush)

Everyone has at least one story where they think they've witnessed something paranormal or unexplainable so let's hear it!

Do I have one?Nope, that's why I made this topic,I don't really have any I can remember.

Once during a school trip my friends and I were in our hotel room, it was like midnight, our doors were all locked and we were all just quietly chatting from our beds... and then we all heard a door creek open, and we screamed, and to this day I still have no idea what it was from.

There was a time when I was 13. I’d just come home from school and was all alone. (I think my brother was either still at school or hanging out with some friends) Then, I got a phone call from my Dad.

One thing I should mention was that, for whatever reason, whenever Dad called there was a 1-to-2 second period of silence before you could hear him. So, basically, you had to wait a little bit before you said anything.

Except this time, when I picked up the phone, there wasn’t silence.

Instead, I heard somebody sobbing and going: ”I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it, I swear.” And then it was cut short by Dad answering.

The freakiest part of it all was that it was my voice.

I've once seen a person who looked like my doppelganger, driving past me in a car identical to my own.

I've heard similar stories before and it never fails creep me out,the way I understand it is that phones sometimes have a delay so your voice may have come from a previous phone call that's only now getting there

The closest I have is that there was one Barney video where no matter how often I watched it or where I watched it or when, at one specific point, like clockwork, I'd always hear my mom calling my name. IDK if it was just captured on recording or what but I would anticipate it every time and it never failed, but nobody else acknowledged it so like...

If I remembered what tape it was I'd honestly try and go back now that I'm an adult to see if it's still happening.

Like you, I also don't, sorry. The most unexplainable thing in my life is that anybody likes my fanfics.

I've never experienced anything that could be paranormal, but my mother has apparently had two potentially paranormal experiences:

  • The first was when she was twelve living in Ireland. She was with her parents (my future grandparents), my uncle (as a little boy) and my aunt (as a baby) and they were all searching for a stone circle but couldn't find it. Eventually, Granddad half-jokingly wondered if The Fair Folk were pranking them, so he told everyone to turn their clothes inside-out (since there's an Irish superstition that fairies/leprechauns/whatever can't trick people in inside-out clothes) and then an old man appeared and gave them directions. They headed off, but when they turned around to thank him, he was gone. The weird part was there was nowhere he could have gone that quickly, unless he'd climbed over the fence, which he appeared too frail to do.
  • The second was a few years ago (some time in The New '10s) staying at a hotel. The doors kept opening and shutting randomly and in a way that couldn't have been the wind, and the electricity kept flashing on and off. Then, the hotel manager apologised on behalf of some wannabe ghost hunters that had been there before, and the disturbances stopped.

For every low there is a high.

The most frustrating thing is that I just know I've experienced something genuinely weird and unexplainable at the time but the memory I have is so vague and it's just not exciting enough for a good story, like I recall being in my high school's computer room and I saw this swirling cloud of smoke where nobody had been smoking and it was just moving about of it's own accord near a back door

But in way I'm relived I've not experienced anything truly spooky
