I think we should expand with a rename considering the fact that this trope isn't thriving, so I'm against splitting unless we Yard it first so more examples can be gathered.
Maybe Realistic Species, Cartoony Species would work to account for the new definition being species-neutral, though perhaps someone can come up with a name that better indicates the fact that it's specifically about a work having realistic species and cartoony species coexisting.

That's when it's the same species in both cases. This trope is supposed to be about cartoony animals existing alongside realistic humans, but a lot of examples feature cartoony humans and realistic animals.

To give an example of what I meant by different non-human species being either cartoony or realistic depending on the species, I was thinking something like how Animal Crossing features realistic bugs and fish alongside Funny Animals from other species.
