Looks very Peter David.

How do you mean? It reminded me more of Dan Slott's run.

I like what I have seen so far.

I do agree that the CGI does look wonky at times, yet from some shots it looks good, mostly when interacting with the environment or with another CGI character, I think the volume of the hair throws it off a bit.

Frog-man looks like a power ranger cosplayer, love it🐸😂. I didn't see much forth wall breaking but I was always a bit on the fence with such a concept yet guess will have to wait to see.

I remember some on saying it was odd that Jen was uncomfortable with being She-hulk, whilst in the comic she just wants to be one all the time. I would just point out that nobody would be too pleased at being transformed at first.

Over all, I think there going to cleanup with the CGI before relase yet the character and story looks great, a bit more down to earth then I thought which I like.

Sincerely S Awatching.

Honestly, if Jen isn't gonna be she-hulk for long, I think the best idea would have been to hire a buff lady and use whatever technology they used on Chris Evans in the first cap movie to represent her then.

[up] That would still have the same problem as it is just replacing one CGI problem with another. Not to mention it seems Jennifer Walters will feature prominently in this show.

[up][up][up] Yeah, I think even in the comics while the status quo of her being more comfortable as She-Hulk didn't take that long to establish, it wasn't present from literally minute one and the initial teaser is going to be heavier on stuff from early in the show.

Like I think anyone who is in a situation where:

Bad News: You were in a serious car accident that should of killed you

Good News: Thanks to an emergency blood transfusion from a relative, you survived.

Bad News: That relative was Bruce Banner, and you have a version of his powers now. Powers that have put innocent people at grave risk on numerous occasions. There is no known way to get rid of them.

Is going to be 100% cool with the situation from day 1. Once the initial shock wears off and she gains more control over her powers it'll be a very different story, but we need at least an episode or two to get there.

We see her going on dates as She-Hulk, so yeah, I figure she gets used to it pretty quick. My guess is that she starts at "I want to go back to normal" and turns it into "I can be normal even eight feet tall and green."

If Matt Murdock shows up, and the two of them have a fling, it would be neat for him to give Jennifer some advice about juggling being a superhero and a lawyer, but in a nice, subtle way that doesn't reveal who he really is.

Unless he actually shows up in costume and Jen figures it out.

Trust no one.

[up][up] Straight up, I'm not a big fan of offering unsolicited grammatical advice when the meaning is obvious to any fluent reader and the context is informal. More often then not it serves only to derail the conversation.

And sure, I'd probably want to get those sorts of things right if I was writing up something with actual consequences attached, but we are a bunch of nerds chatting about the She-Hulk trailer here, not a law firm arguing a case or something.

[up][up][up] Here's an idea: Matt Murdoch tries to give her advice on being a superhero lawyer while awkwardly dancing around exactly how he knows this advice only for She-Hulk to say "You've clearly put a lot of thought into this...Daredevil" and then reveal that she figured out almost as soon as he started talking that he was speaking from personal experiences.

With the Frog-man showing up, one scene I'd like to see is a bunch of criminals making fun of him, only for him to beat them up.

[up] My assumption is that it's not going to get as explicit as the Netflix shows did, but the level of innuendo is going to be absurdly high compared to basically any other Disney+ show.

I just want them to commit to this not being a traditional superhero show. I really like that Jennifer’s take is “screw superheroing, I ain’t that narcissistic. I just wanna live by best life” and I hope they story doesn’t, like, go out of its way to force her to drop that mentality.

If in the last episode they throw aside the legal comedy angle for a far more traditional superhero ending with to Jennifer getting into a dramatic fistfight with Titania for - like - the fate of the universe or something and being declared a new Avenger or something, I’ll be a bit disappointed. I adore Moon Knight, but that’s something I feel that show kind of leant too much into towards the end.

I do hope that this is mostly a low stakes comedy that does a wee bit of world building.

Like, unless you want to tie Titaina into her oragin story with Doctor Doom, she's not a fate of the world kind of threat. She's just kind of an asshole.

I agree that given that she hulk in this is only 6 foot 7, they could have just cast a 6'7 actress and put her in a muscle suit (muscle suits look outrageously good these days and are frankly underused)

Meanwhile given that they have gone with a CGI character, it feels like they could have gone a fair bit further with the character design.

Like the MCU Hulk is 8'2, which means he's going to be half a meter taller than Shulk. I don't know it feels like there was plenty of room for something more ambitious.

[up][up]I very much hope they do go low stakes, even non-superhero, 'not for me, I'm a lawyer not a superhero' is fine, but I really hope they don't go 'I ain't that narcissitic'. I absolutely despise it when franchises choose to have characters I'm supposed to like shit on the core premise of the franchise.

Yeah I'm a bit tired of superhero works deconstructing superheroes. Its okay to have characters that are superheroes want to be superheroes.

I mean, we know Jennifer thinks superheroing is for narcissists in the show because she says so in the trailer. It’s part of her whole “I don’t want to be that kind of person” spiel there.

As for stakes, I’m fine with it being high stakes, as long as it keeps the theme and setup. If Galactus shows up, I don’t want Jennifer to drop her entire premise to fight him the old fashioned way. I want her to take him to court.

I can see why the narcissist line bothers some people. The only Avenger that label really fit with was Tony... But the guy sacrificed his life to save the universe. Even if the world doesn't know the specifics of it, the broad strokes are out there. So narcissist, sure, but to simplify him down to that? Might not really sit right for a lot of viewers in a post-Endgame world.

As written, I didn’t take it as a moral judgment on Stark, but a point that the average superhero lives lofty and unrelatable lives while she just wants to be herself.
