Yu-Gi-Oh!: Master Duel

The card usage statistic addition is the most frustrating thing ever with how blatant it makes Maxx C being a toxic, game warping card in need of banning.

It's a best of one format, not a match format, so I think its a fine equalizer here. I am not interested in having a drawn out debate about it here so I'll move on to a glaring frustration about the card report. You can view it in mid duel or mid replay....but not mid deck building. That seems soooo bizarre to me. Probably where the percentages would matter most.

It being best of one makes it even worse. Counter it or lose unless your opponent bricked completely.

I feel obligated to post this, even though I think some of his meta reasons fall a bit flat.

Yeah this is why i didnt want to discuss further: thr maxx c arguememt has been waging for several years, and is one of if not the biggest differences between ocg and tcg play. Im not really interested in fighting that battle.

I dont really find an issue with maxx c

if the opponent full combos into a borderline unbreakable board it doesnt matter how many cards i drew

Ah GX. My favorite Yugioh anime. Such great decks and many wonderful cards. That's why for the GX focused Festival I'm excited to play my favorite GX deck, Speedroid.

On the main ladder I've switched to Branded Tear. Still tinkering with the ratios and tech choices, but I really like how it plays. They obviously synergize pretty well together, and if I only see one of them that's usually still good enough.

Kinda wishing I hadn't dismantled Wake Up Your Elemental Heroes before the start of this event, would've made a great Super Poly target since I'm running a Sacred Beast deck for the event and there isn't really a ton of extra deck cards they use.

cmon bro the synxhro festival is next week, dont get burnt out now.

Im going to dust off my Cyberdarks for the event. Or failing that, cyber dragons. For the synchro fest, im torn between rose dragons and icejade penguins.

Going from Legends anthology to Synchro Festival really hammers in how much better the game is without Maxx C. Currently on four games back to back losing entirely to that stupid card making doing anything a losing move.

Trust me, you would not be enjoying this festival if blackwings burn and stardust negate board was completely unchecked.

Do the devs just hate Floo, or is it punishment for not caring about the roach?

Both not caring about Maxx C, because Konami is so delusional about Maxx C being good for the game and its f2p since it barely costs anything to make so Konami can't make as much $$$ if people play it.

Maxx C instantly beats literally everything bar Floo, especially in an event that is monster spam heavy by its very nature. You either shut it down or lose.

You literally just dont go full combo under C, or if your confident im ypur board, play through it anyway. Modern synchro decks when left unchallenged dont let you play the game to begin with, i fail to see how the event would be better without it.

No, you don't play anything under Maxx C, and just hope your opponent bricked and can't do anything.

Even just Swordsoul for example you're looking at giving your opponent two cards to have a single interruption on board. Five cards to end on two.

Maxx C doesn't fix anything, since your opponent two can make that huge negate board and drop it on you onto of it, locking you out of anyway around it if you had something like Dark Ruler No More.

Better late than never, but I'm doing the Academy Legend Anthology with HEROS and I'm having fun. My last real duel I shut down a Dark Magician Deck with turn 1 Plasma D - Force. Duel after that opponent bricked and surrendered turn 1. 3500 medals so far.

trust me, if you have full confidence in your board, it doesnt matter how many cards they draw if you can block it all or they dont draw the outs, or if they dont have outs atball. I play rikkas as my main deck, and have won games despite letring my opp draw +20. Same logic applies.

That said if you arent ending on a big "break my board" playstyle, its advised not to give too many cards for free.

Silvia Warlord of Dark World and Branded Expulsion both got a ban announcement, so we're likely getting the new Dark Wirld cards next.

Sorry for the doublepost, but there was a 5 gb update just now, and the 2 important things is that Red-eyes has a finishing move animation like DM and blue-eyes, and Impermanence's column effect will leave a visual indicator while it's applied

So now there's a new Anti-Zeus XYZ monster that prevents both players from activating the effects of monsters with 3000 or more attack. When this makes its way into Masterduel how will it shift the meta?

Too soon to say since it hasn't even hit OCG yet, I think. I can't say I'm an expert here but I'm inclined to say... it'll proooobably impact the game but not in the sense of being an equalizer.

Summoning it with its alternative condition keeps you from summoning the rest of the turn, so I'm guessing its home'll be in decks where most monsters have lower ATK such that your endboard would love having the one-sided floodgate up.

Playing the Monster Festival before it ends in a day (completely forgot about it because I was busy). Counter Fairy/Parshath deck is doing good work against Labrynth.
