Got it, so remove any bullets that have their own page. But would a passing mention of some names in one sentence also be fine?
I'd like at least one more vote in favor of this addition to the description please, just to make people aware that, despite there being a large amount of story-specific examples on the page, they shouldn't be there. EDIT: Actually I just remembered discussion pages exist. I'll ask there too.
I'd also like to add this thread to Pages With Cleanup Projects, but under which section? The current page type for Creepypasta is Index, but a lot of the cleanup concerns works. Disregard, I didn't see it was already under "Works".

I pray for the protection and forgiveness of the persecuted innocents. Why was the page of Saki Sanobashi was removed from TV Tropes?
That's odd considering the recent ATT discussion where the majority seemed to consider it a valid work. Was there a more recent discussion?
What actually makes a Goncharov situation?
That page has links to "Some media in the Goncharov canon", so my guess is that these were endorsed by the original maker of the meme and the page tropes those, while the Saki Sanobashi page was cut for speculative troping because it was troping fan-tributes instead of the canon/"in-universe" thing.

I pray for the protection and forgiveness of the persecuted innocents.Yeah, no, I'd say it should qualify as a work given the past consensus. It's just a different form of storytelling.
Also, how would "speculative troping" apply when the entire work is a collaborative AU thing like this is?

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI am working on a Jeff The Killer Derivative Works page to sort out all of the spinoffs and adaptations
Sandbox.Derivative Works Jeff The Killer
Edit: Launched the page here, still keeping the sandbox to incubate more spinoff pages.

Awesome shit
I think there's like 3 total creepypastas that could use derivative works, Slender Man and although not quite a creepypasta The Backrooms
Nice, thank you! I had a similar idea to make such a page but in the FanWorks/ namespace. I'm still unsure myself on that front, but I'll go with this. (Cuz I have two other JTK rewrites in my sandbox to make work pages for )
Huh, I just noticed that separate pages for the 2008 and 2011 stories were made, that's interesting. It's appropriate but I wonder what to make of the original work page location now, since it's technically leaving orphaned subpages. (Unless DerivativeWorks/ can be a main namespace?)
I suppose anything that features the character (outright or based thereof) should go in there? I have some suggestions on works to add but I'm asking here to be sure:
- Jeffrey Mason from the audio drama series The Morgue Files is based off Jeff the Killer.
- Friday Night Trepidation features Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, and Gold as its main opponents.
- Creepypasta Land has multiple creepypastas, including Jeff, infesting the protagonist's new hometown.
I believe these other creepypastas would go there too once their pages are made because they inherently revolve around Jeff. So far I can think of Jane (Arkensaw and Richardson), Liu Woods, and Nina Hopkins.
- Jane the Killer (there are two versions of her, one considered a more popular ripoff
not unlike the case with Jeff. Not sure yet how to disambiguate them.)- Jane Arkensaw is the one who is Jeff's classmate who oversees the story unfold as a bystander and ends up getting burned alive by Jeff. Considered as the more popular ripoff. Fearfic wiki calls the story by her other name, Jane Everlasting, but it's more known (ironically) as Jane the Killer: The Real Story.
- Jane Richardson, the original made by FearOfTheBlackWolf, is an adult when Jeff murders her parents. She becomes a government assassin after surviving the experimental self-enhancing "Liquid Hate". Her stories go by Jane's Letter and Born of Science: (The Birth of) Jane the Killer (placed in brackets cuz two wikis seem to differ on that subtitle).
- Homicidal Liu depicts (an alternate version of) Liu Woods surviving his brother's attack on their family, awakening a Split Personality named Sully, and becoming a killer himself. Original posted here.
- Nina the Killer is known as a Monster Fangirl of Jeff who becomes just like him, similar backstory and all. Last that I checked, however, she got rebooted in 2021 to be a mercenary targeting Jeff, but it's originally in Spanish.

I pray for the protection and forgiveness of the persecuted innocents.I just created the Jane the Killer pages, as well as linking the pages you suggested.
I know that there's a Jeff vs Slenderman one, among other ensemble stories
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness~@Adembergz: Should I combine Franchise. The Slender Man Mythos and Recap. The Slender Man Mythos into DerivativeWorks. The Slender Man Mythos?
Edited by randomtroper89 on May 1st 2024 at 1:32:10 PM
...And the "~" at the beginning
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJust made the page, should the Recap and Franchise pages be cut or turned into redirects?
Just cutlisted the Recap page, but I don't think a page with thousands of wicks should be cut.

If they have work pages remove the examples from the main page
Nightmare face could just be pointed out that it happens a lot in creepypasta
If that many examples were needed it could become a subpage
