I agree that it should be Trivia. It's more objective than a YMMV item, but it's still describing a real-world reaction to a piece of media.
Yeah, I agree that it should probably be trivia, as it's an objective fact about the work that doesn't appear in the work itself.
Is a wick check necessary to send it to TRS? The problem isn't the misuse
oh hey how are you doing? To change from Trope to Trivia requires TRS.
The content rating is a Paratextual part of the work (typically legally imposed), and this concept requires the comparison between two versions of the same work (two elements of a franchise or a re-release). I'm not seeing what information is external to the work.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. That is an interesting argument, I admit I was thinking of rating more of as external conditions, like reviews, than as paratexts of the work. Still, I think it is a valid discussion, since this trope is about different organizations reacting differently to the same source.
oh hey how are you doing? As for whether or not a wick check is needed, it can never hurt. You can see if there's a lot of wicks already on Trivia/ pages, and you can see how those wicks are used (misuse isn't all they're good for finding).

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYes, you are right, thanks! I just checked the related page and apparently there is a noticeable misuse: 26 of the 129 links are in the Trivia section, which is roughly 20% of all the cases.

oh hey how are you doing? So, is that number enough to discuss some changes? Or should we just clean up that by moving the examples from trivia to main?
oh hey how are you doing? There should be enough to discuss changes.
Please feel free to add to TRS, but please do a wick check first.

Kirby is awesome.Adding to , if you're doing a wick check to bring the trope into Trivia, a good thing to check is how many wicks are already in the Trivia namespace. Technically one isn't required to bring a trope to Trivia (Dummied Out didn't need one), it is still recommended (as was the case when I asked about bringing Abandonware in, which I will eventually do.)
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThank you!

Same Content, Different Rating is for when works get rated differently despite having extremely similar content — or identical, in the case of releases and exportations. Since it leads with peripheral content in relation to the work (it is, official ratings), shouldn't it be Trivia or YMMV, instead of a Main Trope, as it currently is? Something like Rated M for Manly talks about an intentional attitute of the developers, but this trope by definition is about different agencies outside of the work acting differently despite the works being the same.
