Does anything else need to be done with Mondegreen? It's down to 90 wicks and a lot of them seem to be fine for keeping a useful note page.

The VideoSource.Western Animation wick needs to be updated, but I don't know what to update it to because I wasn't the one who handled the videos. (I wasn't even paying attention to the thread when moving them was brought up.)

Mondegreen doesn't give directions on what other pages are related to the concept?
Not sure if the Memes.Music's use of redirect (Misheard Lyrics) should be changed to anything or cut.

Yeah, we should definitely list the pages that were made via this thread on the Mondegreen definition-only page, similarly to what we did with Stuffed into the Fridge when we made it Fan Speak.

EDIT: I think we could cut Mishearing since it's only got 30-ish inbounds. We could possibly redirect I Thought They Said to JustForFun.I Heard That As and Misheard Lyrics probably belongs as a rightful redirect to Mondegreen.

That sounds good. I didn't know that Mondegreen Gag was the only one that was launched; I mistakenly thought they all were since wick cleanup got as far as it did.

Troper Tales is PRLC'd for a reason. People on other sites were mocking us for the content on it. A lot of it was creepy anyhow. As has been said, even for something as harmless as this Troper Tales is not coming back.

I agree that I Heard That As is the page for personal anecdotes for misheard lyrics. That is also the place to put examples of real mondegreens that are not ascended, acknowledged, or in-universe.

Main.Troper Tales isn't technically part of the PRLC since the page exists to explain what it was and why we don't want it anymore, but the fact that we don't want it anymore is why an I Heard That As page for anecdotes from people's personal lives (as opposed to anecdotes of misheard lines from published works) isn't kosher.

Oh, to be clear, by "personal anecdotes" I meant personal examples of mishearing things in media. I wasn't thinking, like, someone mishearing their teacher once.

I was actually saying why I'm against AmourLeFou's idea of an IHeardThatAs.Troper Tales page. I probably should have used arrows or quoteblocks.

I added a list to the Mondegreen page (modeled after the one on Stuffed into the Fridge) containing I Heard That As, Lady Mondegreen, and Mondegreen Gag. Whenever Mondegreen Acknowledgement and Ascended Mondegreen are launched, the plan is to add them to the list as well.

This is a definition-only page, so it's allowed to have wicks that reference the term; it just isn't allowed to have examples.
But anyway, since I think someone already mentioned cleaning up non-inline wicks, I'm going to clock the thread because I don't think this thread needs to stay open for the two pending drafts to launch.

I found out from a different mod that the sponsor of Mondegreen Acknowledgement and Ascended Mondegreen is suspended from TLP, so between that and wick cleanup for the definition-only page being done, I'm going to close the thread.
