Calvinball the Anime

Remember: There is only one permanent rule in Calvinball: players cannot play it the same way twice.

A RPG inspired by Calvin and Hobbes and any every anime series you want to blend in. In this word, the ultimate game/sport is Calvinball, overseen by the Official World Calvinball Disorganization. You have signed up to become newly minted Calvinball players, waving your mallets in pride and dreaming of one day standing triumphant at the World Cup, and being declared members of the greatest Calvinball team in the world.

While your character perceives Calvinball as a serious business, this world runs on anime logic. Calvinball decides everything. Human beings can kick soccer balls so hard the soccer balls catch fire in flight. Will power and spirit can create visible auras. Every day, you climb out of bed and your hair immediately poofs into an arrangement of jagged spikes.

Some people are not human; for example, there is a race of humanoid tigers. Some Calvinball matches are played more like destruction derbies, with people riding on vehicles or even in giant mecha. Some players use Calvin-Disks, devices which attach to a player's forearm and allows them to use cards that can alter the way Calvinball is played or physically change the terrain.
