Private Security Company under the Private Military Contractors trope?

Just a bit confused/wanted to clear the air on using Private Military Contractors.

I'm seeing that in real life, it can get confusing with security companies being known as security contractors, which can get people mixed up due to the PMC abbreviation.

Then there's the stigma with Blackwater and Iraq that most sane private military contractors sometimes refer to the industry as security contractors too.

...Sorry, what's the question here? Are you asking if companies that label themselves as "security companies" but otherwise functionally act as Private Military Contractors count as PM Cs?

If that's the case, if it looks like a duck and talks like a duck it probably is a duck. Don't let yourself be limited by the name.

Yeah.

Especially those are obviously just a security company with no signs of being a PMC in the first place.
