What, you wanna hear the history of the Earth? From me, of all the people that you could ask... Fine! Fine, I'll indulge your bloody curiosity.

So, so, since the beginning of fucking time and space and stars and The Bunny Constellation, there were these two brothers, Wonder and Terror. And, like brothers they are, they loathed each other’s guts. So they fight. Fight to the death, where they decapitate each other simultaneously, like swoosh and swoosh. Their severed necks then freaking conjoin, blood mingles and mingles until it forms Earth. So, Wonder's corpse became Wonderealm, Terror's - Terrorealm (obviously), and Earth became the connecting piece of these realms. The center of the whole universe. Messy origin, aye.

As you see, unlike what all those other dingbits may think, magic was always the core of Earth. So, it was inevitable for that dormant magic to come out to the world. It was the year 2010, aye aye. Release date of iPhone 4. Why mention the iPhone, you ask? Is it product placement, you ask? Well, it's because that bloody thing is the one that introduced magic to the world. What happened is that one little douchebag decided to visit Earth for fuck knows why, and he wasn't careful enough to hide himself. In fact, he had the audacity to have a chat with strangers with his bear-looking ass. His appearance triggered a bunch of events that eventually led to that, and that, and that... You get the gist.

Well, what happened happened. The point is that event triggered the Second Big Bang, the grand revelation of magic to the world. And the pathway to Earth from all those realms opened up. Magic is now common knowledge, and Earth became everyone's Number I visiting place for Wonderkin and Terrorkin. What places do I recommend, do you ask? Well, for snots like you, Yggdrasil Academy is the perfect place. And now, let me tell you all about Yggdrasil Academy.

Greetings and salutations. This is an Urban Fantasy Academy RP, where you can play as anything you want to be as long as it fits the fantasy theme (vampires, werewolves, fairies, elves, mages, etc). You are college students attending a prestigious Yggdrasil Academy, which is closer to a realm of its own than an ordinary school. You will attend lectures, hang out with some friendos, have parties, and even explore some of the realms as part of the study excursion.

Before starting, I’ll provide some details that you’d better off knowing.

• The universe is made up of Wonderealm, Terrorealm and Earth. Each of these Greater Realms also possess smaller sub-realms, with their own unique lore, species and even magic. Realms of Wonderealm generally look upbeat, happy and optimistic. At least, they seem that way. Wonderealm is famous for housing more “aesthetically beautiful” species. This Greater Realm is heavily associated with dreams. Terrorealm, on the other hand, is a nightmare incarnate. Species that reside in these parts of the universe often tend to be terrifying in appearance, and even their magic often carries negative effects. That said, to brand them all as evil would be a foolish task. You can create any species or realms. Your only limit is creativity.

• If your character practices Earth magic, then they must have a medium through which they channel their magic. They’re called Magic Conduits. It can be anything, like a particular metal, book, artifact or self-made talking doll.

• I am planning on certain systems to be utilized during this RP. It's nothing cumbersome, so don't worry on that regard.

Age: Believed to be somewhere in their early 20s.

Species: Ghost (Formerly Human)

Appearance: A shadow watches from the corner of the room. Blurry and indistinct, yet carrying an aura of menace.◊

Abilities and Equipment: A few powers thanks to their status as a ghost. Such as:

• Telekinesis: Can move and fling things around.
• Electricity Disruption: Can briefly disrupt electronics.
• The Knife: The knife that was used to kill them.
• Fire Powers: Able to use fire, due to how it affected their dead body.

General Personality: Rather cynical and somewhat shy, but won't hesitate to help those in need.

Backstory: The Timeline Killer was known for killing victims in a certain pattern. That of age. Starting with a 1 year old, he killed up to 45 victims, each one about a year older than the last. However, before he could kill his 46th, the then librarian of the Yggdrasil Academy at the time, an unknown female attempted to stop them from murdering her, it is unknown who this person was, as the killer would end up killing both his intended victim and the attempted savior, proceeding to incinerated their body, leaving only a charred corpse inside, making concrete identification impossible. The killer would turn himself in the next day, blaming the unknown victim for making him "break the pattern" he is currently being held for trial. As for the unknown victim, their shadowy ghost would appear a few days later. Having nothing better to do, they would enroll with the campus.

• Name: Maid Emite of Gloom
• Realm: Terrorrealm
• Age: 5
• Species: Third Form Oilblooded Servant (read: fantasy Shoggoth)
• Appearance: In an act of kindness, she does her best to look and act like a human to appease the many human-ish species out there. Has to wear rubberized protective gear over the entire body beyond (part of) the face, in the traditional dark teal with black trim of its country and a high collar. Defaults to a nice-looking lady if no other appearance chosen.
• Abilities and Equipment:
  • She has the ability to change its shape to virtually anything. The only limits are that she can't willingly separate parts. Has resistance to many things but burns easily.
  • Like most Oilblooded, prolonged contact with its exposed flesh can cause intense hallucinations in some species; hence the covering clothing.
  • Able to learn new skills and knowledge at a very fast speed.
  • Quietly devoting time to studying mental alteration magic on her own initiative. Still a novice.
• General Personality: Calm and polite. Usually soft-spoken in all situations. Likes meeting all sorts of new and unfamiliar faces. Likes doggies.
• Backstory: While the fetid Black Blood of Terror is an astoundingly corrosive and corrupting substance, it has its uses. Terror's ichor can be refined and, if performed correctly, can be combined with other magical ingredients to create new life. This life is, by and large, a simplistic and crude blob with only just enough capability to reshape itself that it forms a large part of the manual labor in Terrorrealm. Some few are able to change themselves totally, but have the same subhuman subservience of their peers.
  • Emite is one of very few servants to have a fully human capability for intelligence and learning. As part test run and part assurance that it can mingle with polite society, Maid Emite is being sent to a certain magical academy under the auspices of the country of Gloom. Of course, she might have her own intentions for attending...

• Name: Duke Fitzgerald
• Realm: Wonderrealm/Earth
• Age: 21
• Species: Human/Muse hybrid
• Appearance: Blonde-haired, green eyed, slender, and just slightly too beautiful to be fully human. Duke has the appearance of someone who was somehow airbrushed in real life, almost to the point of being unsettling. In low light, his eyes seem to faintly glow.
• Abilities and Equipment:
  • Pretty Boy: In addition to always looking good regardless of how much effort he puts into his appearance, a side-effect of his inhuman beauty is that his body remains in good physical shape even without any diet or exercise on his part.
  • Music Man: An intuitive understanding of music. Duke has superhuman vocal range, and can pick up and play any instrument skillfully without needing to be taught. He's most comfortable with guitar, though.
  • Good Vibrations: Duke's magic is the manipulation of sound. At base, can play electric instruments without an amp and enhance his voice without a microphone. He can perfectly mimic voices and other sounds he's heard, and manipulate where sounds come from to disorient people. By pumping more magic into it, he can blast things with sonic waves, or shatter things by hitting their resonance frequency.
  • Six String: An enchanted, hybrid, electric-acoustic guitar. Though his hybrid nature means he doesn't strictly need a conduit for his magic, he uses one nonetheless.
• General Personality: Laid back, low stress. Very much a daydreamer, and not the most motivated sort, but genuinely good-hearted. Enjoys playing and listening to music, natch.
• Backstory: The muses are ethereal spirits of art, who fill Wonderrealm with song, poetry, and color. They are particularly fond of humans, and it was natural that when magic became common knowledge, these creative spirits would find themselves drawn to concerts, festivals, and symphonies, to listen to all the wonderful music humans had made.
  • It was perhaps inevitable that human and muse would eventually fall in love. A struggling bass player found success with the help of an inhumanly beautiful spirit, and a few years later the duo would go on to have a child. Duke had an uneventful childhood, and after graduating high school he was content to spend his days playing music. But his father pushed him to attend Yggdrasil, believing that Duke might find some greater purpose.
