Trailing punctuation in trope custom titles

So, apparently Fanfic/HellsLoud displays as Hell's Loud. I... don't think that custom displays are supposed to be that drastic? Apparently the work's title was changed at some point, but shouldn't this have been a redirect?

Also, the two titles display separately on tropes' Related tabs, so if you go to, say, Actor Allusion and check what works link to it, "Hells Loud" and "A Loud Among Demons" are displayed separately.

I created a new sandbox, Pages Incorrectly "Moved" by Custom Title, to cover this sort of situation. Feel free to add it to the list.

I think that tropes like So Bad, It's Good, Baby's First Words, and Yank the Dog's Chain should have apostrophes, since they'd look wrong without them.

I feel like titles get fixes as soon as they're brought up and show up differently as wikiword.

All three of those have had their custom titles for quite a while. Were they not showing up on your end?

Probably easier to pothole without the ellipses but not egregiously bad to me.

They were showing up. I was just arguing against a ban on punctuation in titles.

The ban is about ending punctuation and things like ellipses, not all punctuation period, otherwise what's even the point of custom titles

Hey, y'all. I just added a work page for the card game Bang!.

The game rules and other publisher references consistently refer to the game as BANG! (uppercase with an exclamation point at the end). Some online resources refer to the game as Bang! (capitalized with an exclamation point).

I could go either way on the capitalization, but it seems that the exclamation point is part of the name, and should be reflected in the work page title.

Anyway, is this the best place to ask for this update? Or should I go to the thread for capitalization fixes?

That's overzealous hyphenation. Adverb-adjective pairs do not require hyphens.

Just submitted a wikiword title request to remove the hyphen then.

...Come to think of it, what separates this thread from the other custom title cleanup thread by this point?

Oh, is it this one? I only just thought of looking for a cleanup thread, this thread was in my Followed for a while now.

This didn't start as a cleanup thread, it was more of a "should we ban this" thread.

It happens a lot with Wiki Talk threads. My thread about the disambiguation policy became a cleanup thread too, even though we probably already had one?

This was a spin off thread to discuss the trope naming convention as a whole, but it seems it gradually degraded back into questioning individual pages.
