It's on Tropes Needing TRS for that reason. It was also mentioned in the thread
that punted Difficulty Spike to YMMV as another possible contender.
So really, the answer is nobody has brought it to TRS and properly campaigned for it to be YMMV yet.

I’ve always wondered why that trope isn’t YMMV, since difficulty is subjective. What’s hard for one person may not be for another.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?
