It's a Trope in Aggregate I think; the dinosaurs aren't tropeworthy in a single work, but the pattern of these specific dinosaurs "representing" the entire dinosaur kingdom is tropeworthy as a whole.

Yes, it's a Trope in Aggregate, basically a subtrope to Small Taxonomy Pools.

It seems a lot like the Garnishing the Story tropes: most of the examples of Stock Dinosaurs on work pages are just lists of animals that appear, with no other information.
