Why are you using "they", it is well known Mengo is female and I do not remember her identifying as non-binary?
If sure if pushes is the right word, but I'd say Aka. Mengo is probably just enjoying the ride.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’“They” refers to Mengo’s past works
Oh, I read it like "author covered" because of what I was asking.

Well. Whelp. Huh. Yep.
It happened and they went there.
Well the fallout should be entertaining.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’I cannot tell what exactly Akane’s expression is…weirded out?
I mean... you don't want to see your crush kissing his sister...
Jokes about Akane and Kana being cucked by the sister of the guy they like are no doubt being made
The bad thing is that from now on, Oshi No Ko will be known simply as "Incest: the manga."
And many people will refuse to read it for that reason.

On the upside, some people will read it for that reason.
...Actually, that may not be an upside.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Eh, I’ve encountered much worse.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’If the scene where it happens had the genders reversed, the conversation might be different
That is to say, in most mangas that involve romance between siblings, stepb-siblings, or Foster siblings, the sister is usually the one in love, because making the brother the one in love would be very controversial, even for the genre.
...Yeah, examples of that sort of love with genders reversed usually has the male family member be a controlling abuser or flat-out rapist, like in Utena. I did always notice how in that series, Kozue and Nanami were portrayed so much less seriously than Akio or Touga's stepdad.
But it stands out more in this case because in the two examples we have of modern-day characters with sexual trauma, both Melt and Hikaru are guys who were taken advantage of by women.
Just twenty pages of yapping
Speak for yourself, I like Melt and it's nice to see how he's developed.
Oshi no Crow
RIP to the theory that Aqua and Ruby are incarnations of gods. Turns out Sarina was just nice to birdies.
I just remembered that technically Akasaka did something close to incest with Kaguya but the family relations was distant (I like to add its unrequited just in case)

What I find most amusing is that recent events have turned Ruby into a Memetic Molester in the eyes of the fandom.
Last few weeks were all about incest talk and all of a sudden they decide to play Kana-chan Wants to be Confessed To again
Aqua seems like a bad boyfriend to me, so I don't understand why shippers treat him like a prize.
Some buds of mine think it’s Mengo because of her past work (though I don’t think they covered incest)
