The chase for that entire episode was so good.
It really was.
I do wish they'd had Rubber Ball show a bit more restraint however.
But this does show how dangerous Rubber Man powers can be.
I actually like that guy despite the casual manslaughter in the pursuit of petty jewel thieves.
Like, his attitude makes me think of a Spider-Man style character. Those guys are always fun.....when they aren't assholes like Rubber Ball kinda was.
One Strip! One Strip!Double post: I almost forgot to mention that I never expected to get a reference to Power Rangers Jungle Fury, or for that matter, Juken Sentai Gekiranger of all things.
Like, getting a power ranger reference is one thing, but hearing a rereference to the original Super Sentai source for that series is unheard of.
They couldn't have cut deeper unless they referenced Kamen Rider, which is still pretty unknown beyond the maligned Masked Rider and the slightly better, but still relatively unknown Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.
One Strip! One Strip!I honestly felt like Rubber Ball would be better if he was a legitimately nice guy who fumbled things due to his inexperience instead of being an outright reckless showboat. Which kind of ties into one of my nitpicks of the show, but I’ll leave that for after you finish the series haha.
Watched episodes 4 and 5.
In the case of the former, I can see why the Praetorian is so dangerous.
You literally never know what you're going to get when you deal with him.
Although he's pretty well prepared for someone who supposedly never knows what power he's going to get. I got the feel he's got a lot more control over which power he receives than he lets on. Like, it felt he'd know he'd always get a power that would perfectly counter whoever he's fighting.
As for 5, we're introduced to most of the crew.
...wow. Why is the black guy sleeping on a park bench? Really? C'mon!
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, that irked me about Praetorian’s introduction. He somehow gets the specific counter abilities he needs for each crook. His power in general is a bit too loosely defined.
I agree. Also, I don’t know much about Jupiter’s Legacy aside from this show but is there any particular reason that the Praetorian is seemingly so much more powerful than anyone else?
Everyone else has one power or a small powerset, but Praetorian won the Super Power Lottery big time.

Didn't the Utopian appear in this show?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He pretty much just won the Superpower Lottery.
He did, but he didn’t do a whole lot in Super Crooks. I could tell he’s some kind of Superman expy, but I don’t really know what he can do exactly.
And now episode 6 is down.
Gladiator is brutal.
But hey, he's kind to undersea kingdoms.
I keep forgetting Kasey can do that shit. Like, I just assumed Gladiator just knocked that silly.
Also, not sure if Plan C is what's best for everybody.
One Strip! One Strip! There's a very similar moment in season three of Kid Cosmic.
Episode 8:
The con is....oh shit.
Foiled because the Preatorian needed to take a dump. That's some poor luck.
One Strip! One Strip!Episode 10:
Johnny gets the band back together for the ultimate job, and even ropes in a hero with an offer he couldn't refuse.
One Strip! One Strip! That's one of the funniest parts of the series, Johnny recruiting Gladiator.
And finished.
Johnny pulled quite the scam, although I'm wondering why he's not worried about Casey.
The bastard very clearly saw her face, and knows she's still alive. Yeah, she threw him off one time, but by all rights she should be on the list of people he's looking for.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, kinda hard to believe the Bastard would mistake Johnny’s crew for his subordinates just because they wore the same costumes, and that he wouldn’t bother looking for Casey.
No wait. I just had a thought.
Considering he knows how Casey's power works, it's possible he thinks that the face she showed him isn't even hers.
It make sense. She tricked him into thinking his butler was her, and also that he was in his office instead of his meditation cave. So he likely suspects he's not even dealing with the real her. And with no way to know if the face he saw is even really hers, and the fact she used a fake name, he can never be sure he can track her down.
One Strip! One Strip! That’s a plausible theory though I feel like the Bastard would have searched for every blonde that looked like Casey and killed them all anyway. Then put out feelers for anyone with the same powers and killed them too.
Episode 3 finished.
Rubber Ball is quite the Destructive Savior.
