So Temporary Scrappy seems to be defined as a temporary addition to the cast that's deliberately designed to be a Replacement Scrappy to a previously established character. I feel like the trope is redundant to Replacement Scrappy, and "characters who is intended to be hated by the audience" is already covered by Hate Sink.

Reading the description, I think Temporary Scrappy is supposed to be The Scrappy, but in-universe.

[up]As I said, The Scrappy in-universe would fall either under Hate Sink, or the upcoming trope—Hated By Everyone—that's to be split from 0% Approval Rating.

And that's not really what this trope seems to be attempting to be. Temporary Scrappy is when the creators deliberately replace a beloved character with a new one that's intended to be hated by the audience. This new character is then written off the story (thus "temporary") by bringing back the old one.

Not only does this seem to veer into Speculative Troping, but it's also overly specific and narrow.
