What are your favorite video game sound effects ever?

That damage sound effect when you successfully hit a boss in the Klonoa games or the one in Wario Land: The Shake Dimension. There's also the sound effect used for Sonic 3's final boss whenever it uses it's laser attack or the sound effect used whenever Marx Soul splits into two energy orbs that go across the top and bottom of the screen.

another Splatoon one, but I’ve recently discovered that listening to the Nautilus splatling revving up is actually pretty nice.

Salamence's cry. I liked it as a kid, and I still do now

• Quite a lot from Cuphead. The announcer's voice, the sounds for firing the Peashooter or Spread Shot, the sound of parrying a pink object, and the sound of Chauncey Chantenay's flying carrots being destroyed.
• The sound for swimming around in ink in Splatoon.
• The Penguin Suit powerup sound from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
• The sound for when you get a Copy Ability in Kirby.

The menu select sound from Super Smash Bros. Melee. There's something oddly satisfying about it.

I love the sound that Kritters make in Donkey Kong Country: "AAAUGHH."

Aromatisse's sound in Pokémon X and Y is also pretty funny: "HURWOOO!"

And how could this be complete without the Item Get! jingle from The Legend of Zelda? "DA-DA-DA-DAAAA!"

The sound of the stepswitchers stepping in unison in Rhythm Heaven.

The Item Get! sound effects in LittleBigPlanet were always so satisfying to me.

Now I wanna play that series again soon...
