How far away is the future setting supposed to be?
Ultimate Secret WarsI imagine somewhere between 5-10 years in the future; enough for serious character progression, especially the younger heroes, while not ar enough to make the universe unrecognizable.
I have an idea:
- The original Fantastic Four is dead. They were killed by Franklin who used illegal means to gain a power theft ability and is using it to build a criminal empire because he's a petty brat who only cares about being a god. Valeria is trying to build a new Fantastic Four. Blame the evil Franklin thing on this fanfic I read.
Marvel already did something like this and introducing several legacy characters.
Your Champions line up also has no ties to the current team and skews too much towards Spider-Man characters.
There are also other teams besides the Avengers. Kate being the leader is cool, but she's currently not rich so i'm not sure about her bankrolling the team.

I mean, I think it's an interesting thought experiment, even if Marvel has more prominent legacy characters than DC does at the moment.
I'll admit that the Champions line-up is different than the current one, but my thinking was "who are the younger, pre-teen characters that can inherent the Champions name as the premier teen superhero team?" Those were the characters I could come up with; to the Spider-People point, there are like 2 out of 5, but I suppose you could swap out one of them (probably Normie) for an original character.
With regards to non-Avengers teams, it was mostly because I was more confident about Avengers ideas and that Avengers books should really be big books. I do have ideas for Guardians and X-Men that I might post later. With regards to Kate Bishop, I'll concede I did not know that about Kate; maybe they're bankrolled by Stark's will.
Who has good ideas for the X-Men?
Wake me up at your own risk. What about mutantkind being on the verge of extinction? They haven't done that plot before, did they?
Ultimate Secret WarsCould I put out an idea I have for a "Future State" for an Ultimate Universe Marvel universe where everybody ages through the years from their first appearance in the comics (or from their canonical introduction in the timeline, whichever comes first)?
Or should this thread only consider the canon 616 universe as its "base"?

Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time.Yeah, but the other half skews towards the X-Men.
Champions shouldn't just be children of established heroes. The only falls under that in the current book is Viv.
As far the Cap in this setting, why not Eli or a grown up Dani Cage?
That was already done in the MC 2.

x2 Like a universe-wide version of Spider-Man: Life Story? That would be pretty interesting, but I feel like it's a slightly different discussion.
I mean, yes, most of the Champions aren't literal children of previous heroes, but most are legacies in some form or another. Anyways, I think I've come up with a slightly different roster that could work better: Ahura Boltagon, Dylan Brock, Doyle Dormmamu, Gabby Kinney, Valeria Richards, Crescent and Io.
With regards to Red Wolf-as-Captain America, it's partly because I recently read Avengers: No Surrender and thought he would be a cool character to expand on and that you could put a spin on the classic "man out of time" angle. That being said, I'm not married to the idea.
Thor retires from superheroics, and reforges Mjolnir into four hammers. Those are given to Joey Demaio, Eric Adams, E.V. Martel, and Anders Johansson.
You know, one thing that I always pictured in my head, partly based on Bendis' whole spy angle he tried to incorporate in Miles' comics before he left for DC, and part from the Journey into a Mystery tie-in to War of the Realms is a new Secret Warriors team.
One composed of Quake, Druid, Kate Bishop, Miles Morales, Inferno & Death Locket who focus on stopping international threats. Not necessarily a black-ops squad though. And since this is a Future State-esque idea, have the reformed Phil Coulson become the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D..
So, for those who don't know, DC will shift their line for the next few months, taking place in a possible future filled with legacy characters like Jonathon Kent becoming the new Superman.
So, how would you do a "Marvel Future State?"
I have some ideas of what I would do with it:
