Get rid of (redundant) epithets in work titles?

I do understand that we need ways to distinguish works of a given title from one another, but so far, a few works come to mind that shouldn't need that, given how they already have ways to distinguish themselves:

  • Castlevania (2017): This, as far as I know, is the only work in the Castlevania franchise that would be classified as "Western Animation". Why does it need the year to accompany it?

  • Primal (2019): There is no other show I can find called "Primal".

  • Yuki Onna (2020): In this case, not only is there no other work in existence with this title, but "2020" isn't even parenthesized, despite not being part of the title.

Seeing how tropes can have alternate names created for them without modifying anything where their names have already been used, would it be possible to have the years removed in those three work titles and probably others, or is there any actual reason why those few works in particular have those accompanying them?

[up]Yuki-onna is a trope page, so I suspect the "2020" is there to make it easier it easier to create pages for the Yuki Onna (2020) video game.

There's a page for a video game called Primal, so I'm guessing the "2019" is to differentiate the western animation series from that video game.

As for Castlevania, that "2017" is probably to make it easier to create subpages for stuff that only pertains to the series and not the video games.

It's about subpage collision with unrelated works with the same title. See this thread.

Okay, seems to make sense, then. In that case, could we at least parenthesize "2020" for Yuki Onna?
