Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Winner of Elim Game Round 78
Ronny Gold's Castle
Ronny examined the not so-steady LEGO tower Haban and Arrow made. Good effort. I have to show you all some building tricks later. But it's a good start. He turned his attention to Caedia. Are you kidding me? Too old? People say that about me too. How "I'm too old" to play with LEGO, video games, read comics, or other fun things. But who cares? It's something I enjoy. Fun doesn't have an age limit. And maybe if you build something yourself, you'll see what I mean.But the missing Feraligator caught his attention. Another friend, time for a search!
Just then, Barnes intervened. Allow me to walk with Master Caedia to look for this Feraligatr. You just go help search for a hat. All right, Barnes. If you want. Yes, sir, very much. Come along, Master Caedia. Barnes left the room. While he was willing to help find Feraligatr, he was also looking for an out for the LEGO room. It's a big castle, we do have quite a large number of ground to search.
Meanwhile, Ronny found the perfect hat for Boo: a sombreo. It was the only one big enough to fit on Boo's head. He put it on Boo, and made a frame with his hands. Not exactly what I had in mind, but you do be stylish.

Morgan accidentally died eventually and got dragged to Hell after failing to kill all of the animals he ever ate in the arena.
"Aw, fuck me. Why didn't I at least kill somebody before I died?" the actual Morgan complained back in the VR chamber

"I... I hope not, Knox. But did he really use the Hypnos-Stone on all of us? That would risk him losing control of the entire tribe." Fire Eyes pondered.
"No. But he did worse... Look. In front of the shipyard. Don't get too close." Blood Moon interrupted, leading the trio further away until they were close enough to witness what was going on.
A Voidlands Metroid was there, guarding the area. And it was fighting, visibly.
It's opponents? A horde of abominations. Hundreds of colored jellies, mutated aliens, and even "Mawkin" similar to Blood Moon's mutated state were there, trying to seize one ship, or trying to find a way to destroy the Metroid. There were commanders and even elite soldiers among the infected. If Knox could see very well, he would even spot what seemed to be Black Sun's squad (or rather used to be). A second Voidlands Metroid was flying toward the shipyard to help its kin contain the horde. More jellies were flying from various places to replace the fallen.
Fire Eyes backed down in horror, his beak shivering, before falling to his knees. That scene was far too familiar for him.
"That's... That's impossible!! The X??? They did this??? But how did the X you spawned become so many???" he shouted at Blood Moon. The mutated Mawkin looked at his blood brother with a tired look before shaking his head.
"No. Even the X that had escaped your confrontation with me could not replicate so quickly. They... we have our limits. And if you look closely you will see that there are species that are not supposed to be in this region." he explained.
Fire Eyes looked at Blood Moon in distraught before widening his eyes as he realized what happened.
"N... N-No... He did not... Tell me by the gods he did not do that!!!" he exclaimed, distraught. Blood Moon sighed.
"I fear he did. That's the only logical explanation. Raven Beak freed the contained X from Elun, letting them wipe out the rebellion before it grew out of control. He must have been out of options to take such a drastic decision against the revolt, I give the nominators that. And seeing the result... His plan was a success. The parasites were starving. They didn't waste time choosing their prey. It's safe to assume the entire planet is in the process of being infected if it's not already. As for our tribe... We were already weakened by our enemies and unprepared. You can guess the outcome. I'm not even sure there are survivors with so many X to deal with."
Fire Eyes could not answer. He was devastated.
"The X are trying to escape... But Raven Beak will not let them. Even he knows he can't control them, as well as the risks should they be let loose onto the Multiverse. And he is not going to let Stokes be eaten by them either. He is counting on his Metroids to wipe them out when he no longer needs them. You are lucky one of them is guarding the fox's lair, or else..." Blood Moon guessed. He closed his eyes, sighing sadly, for a moment before staring at Knox furiously.
"So... You just admitted your friends planned to have my tribe involved and have them rebel against Raven Beak. Raven Beak. Have you forgotten what kind of person he is?? What he does to those who dare cross him?? Did the Thoha genocide teach you anything?? What did you think would happen if you forced him into that corner?? Or were you "heroes" that eager to use my tribe as meatshields?? Thanks to your shenanigans, my tribe may have been wiped out." he blamed before chuckling menacingly.
"In fact... I have a half-mind returning the favor." Blood Moon hissed with a mad grin, the X's hunger taking over him again.
Dark Stanford's lair
Scipion viciously cackled as Onox finished off Sidon's clone with the others. The others destroyed Imhotep, leaving only the mutants.
"Excellent work! Let us deal with those poor people now!" James said, using Whirlpool to trap the bubbly mutant without hurting it too much. As for Alex, more eager to fight than his comrades, he tried to knock out the centipede with a simple, yet powerful punch.
"I hope so too, June... I hope so too." Aaron whispered. He kept his eye semi-opened, ready to signal to his friends if someone was going to enter.

Wards
Dr. Phoenix leads the team back to the wards and first enters Claire's room. She and Ralsei are watching the Death Battle, laughing and half-cringing at Queen's antics, respectively.
"We are back!" says Dr. Phoenix, "how are you, Ms. Hartmut?"
"Ralsei's been taking good care of me!" she says.
"And I forgot that Queen was qualified for this season's expanded DB, so Claire roped me into watching it with her! Ha ha..." Ralsei scratches his head. "But anyway, how's everyone downstairs?"
"Safe and sound!" says Dr. Phoenix. "We were also able to cure Cassie and Riley of their transformation into the former's Dark counterpart!"
"Oh, really?!"
"It's a long story, but we didn't expect de-Atomizing them to cure that!"
"Yeah!" Rana and Mari say.
"I'm glad they're alright, too!" says Ralsei.
"Agreed!" adds Claire.
Safety Shelter
"You could've been more polite about it, though," 6k1 tells Juan.
"Well, I'm not afraid to speak my mind," he says, "but I guess you're right."
He then asks Tina, "Were you ever bullied for being weird?"
"Lilo gets that all the time, but she has Stitch to fend them off!" says 6k1.
"But uh... if you're not comfortable with answering that, I won't press further."
Inside Dark Stanford's Lair
"YEAHHHHHH!!!" Amethyst makes a big grin as she zaps the Sidon clone into nothing with the others.
Pearl steps further back and shudders. "Oh my... you didn't have to go all the way, but that's another one down!"
Meanwhile, Garnet's rocket punch deals the final blow on Imhotep at the same time as the other attacks, imploding him as well. She then retrieves her gauntlet, while Lapis alights near the group, retracts her wings, and looks at the mutants.
"I guess it's just them now..." she says, "I wonder who they are..."
"But first, is everybody alright?" asks Garnet.
Steven, Connie, and Bismuth give her a quick yes before trying to subdue the mutants once and for all. Bismuth holds back her strength and oversees James trapping the bubbles in a whirlpool, while Steven moves in front of the centipede and yells at Alex not to hurt it.
"But we already hit it several times!" says Connie.
"I know, but it just stopped attacking us! No need to punch it while it's down!"
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."

Aw man, I'm gonna lose my marbles if I don't find anythin' else to do! (He groans, looking up at the ceiling from the bed he is on.)
(He hops off the bed and goes to the next room over. He peeks in.)
Hey, yall wanna do-...uh, somethin'? (He trails off.)
(Caedia, Ed, Boo, Friday, and Haban-Arrow's dormant bodies are still in here, standing up and looking as though they're fast asleep.)
Hey, yall okay? (Cricket asks, walking up to Ed's body and poking him in the belly a couple of times.) They're sleepin' as hard as rocks! Hmm...
(Being the mischievous little rascal that he is (and without his dad, Tilly, or anybody else here to discourage him from doing so), Cricket's mind immediately goes to doing something to mess with what he appears to be the extremely heavily sleeping Pokémon.)
I got it! I'll mess with their dreams! (Cricket decides.) ...No, wait, I tried that with Dad, Til, and Gramma and that was the worst thing ever. Hmm...I got it!
(He leaves the room.)

(Caedia heads off with Barnes to see where Ed ended up.)
Keheheh! Us doing better than other peoples! (Haban says.)
Me think golden people is right, though. Us can make better building. (Arrow says.)
Peh! Us show him! (Haban says, throwing blocks together at seemingly random.)
Are you kidding? I probably look ridiculous! (Boo says to Ronny.)
Eh, I'm with Ronny, you actually kind of rock that hat. (Friday agrees.)
(Boo sighs and stubbornly presses his nubby hands together.) If you two say so. Now where do we start?
(Ed is still in the comic book room, looking positively giddy.)
Look at all these comics and books and stuff! Isn't it amazing?! (Ed says.)
Why did you not TELL us you were here? (Caedia asks.) I know these are your hobby, but still.

Inside the lair
(The centipede emits a squeak and curls up tighter while the bubble mutant seems to lose its stability. They're both still alive, but not in a condition to try to keep fighting.)
Stop! They're down! (July exclaims.)
(August quickly steps back.)
(Now everything that was inside the front of the lair has been taken care of, finally.)
Thank goodness that's all over... (Veena says, relieved. Of course, their journey isn't over yet.) Is everyone alright?
Never better! Though my wings certainly are sore now... (Henry says, drifting back down to the floor.)
Yeah, and those clones are probably gonna give me nightmares. (Ball says.)
(Greta looks toward the mutants with some concern.) Is there anything we can do for them?
I am concerned that Veena's healing venom may not be enough to cure whatever the evil Stanford has inflicted upon them. (Cleo agrees.)
Whatever we decide, we should be quick. Time is of the essence! (Zuma says.)

(June doesn't say much else, but continues to keep an eye out (literally) as well.)
Outside (With Blood Moon)
(The flames surrounding Knox's head seem to intensify as he witnesses the chaotic scene in front of him. He doesn't know what to say. Upon spotting Black Sun's squad, he suspects that Fleeting Leaf probably isn't going to be needing his Power Suit back from Wanda any time soon.)
I...I... (Knox's resolve is starting to shake, and he's starting to find himself back at the railroad cave where the explosion happened. Immediately he's falling into blaming himself for this mess.)
(Knox tries to shake the thoughts from his head, especially now with Blood Moon on the verge of losing control again.) No, if they'd known something like this could have happened to 'em, they would have told us no and not even have tried to fight him. They had to know the risk and still went through with it 'cause almost every last one of you Mawkin is a proud brave asshole who ain't afraid to die! Ya literally battle each other to death for fun, for crap's sake!
(Knox sighs.) ...Then again...none of our group knew about Elun, did they? I shoulda said somethin'...and...damn, I just don't know WHAT to say now. (He gives a miserable look toward Fire Eyes, then up to the sky.)
...except that now, I'm gonna kick Raven Butt's teeth in TWICE as hard! (He snarls.)

"Don't even TRY to put that off with me. You knew about it. Even if you did not tell your allies, Quiet Robe must have." Blood Moon grunted, not convinced.
"Blood Moon!" Fire Eyes interrupted him, not in the mood to suffer another argument between Knox and him.
"They... we all underestimated just how far Raven Beak was willing to go. T-That was... our tribe, his tribe." he then quietly mumbled before lowering his head.
Blood Moon looked down at Fire Eyes for a moment, his hunger going down. Even after so much, he still loved his blood brother enough to stop. He stared furiously at Knox before sitting next to Fire Eyes. The two said nothing for a moment.
Dark Stanford's lair
"Oh..." Alex said, stopping.
"I don't think that's necessary to knock them out, Alex. They're beaten." Tokage added.
"Yeah, we're all good!" Nick said.
With the threats taken care of, they were free to proceed. But first, they had to take care o the two mutants.
"I... don't know what we can do about them either. Maybe our Stanford could find a way to reverse the process?" Tokage guessed.
"Hmph. In the meantime, if we can't heal them, we lock them. They're going after us again if we let them be." Freyja coldly said before thinking.
"The Atomozoids sounds like a good idea... whenever the other team is fucking done with them. They sure take their sweet time..." she complained.
"I still don't like that idea. Surely we can lock them somewhere else until we find a solution to cure them." Tokage said.
"We should also find a teleporter and bring the others in before moving on, now that the entrance's clear. We'll need their help. I'm confident those guys were just a warmup." Arthur pointed out.
"One last tango, 47."

The Arena
As the sun begins to set, Rhodonite sees a cloaked figure with a scythe approaching her and shudders like many tiny bugs are crawling all over her.
D-Didn't that wolf somehow die when he threw that tiny cube into the air? she thinks.
But the figure advances towards her and makes a hollow noise as it raises its scythe. She screams at its shadowy face and runs away from it, but it corners her and tries to strike her directly in her gemstones. But despite her freakouts, she manages to grab the scythe with all four of her arms and slice the figure with it. It dissipates into a huge wisp of black smoke, making its tattered cloak drop on the ground, and it enters Rhodonite through her chest gemstone. She makes the same hollow noise as the figure as it possesses and transforms her into its likeness, but she still keeps her hairstyle and gemstones.
Meanwhile, Flick, following his fight with Queen over drinks a few days ago, assigns her to watch over the Total Drama Gems, telling her that he's got satellites (invisible ones too) and drones all over Panem if she needs them.
You Should Utilize Them Yourself LMAO Queen tells him. IK I Can Try Interfacing With Them But (Excuse Me) I Need To Check On Baby Nakano
She then saunters off to tend to her for the night.
The next day, Queen encounters another Reaper and fights it. She nearly has her SOUL stolen, but she manages to escape. She then stumbles into what seems to be yet another Reaper and stands her ground.
An Integer Overflow Has Not Affected My 32-Bit Clock Yet she tells "it", But You Still Cannot Have My SOUL
Nooo... says the "Reaper" as she tries internally fighting the possession, It's meee... Rhodonite... Your hh-ost for... the ballll...

Queen tries scanning her with her facial recognition software, but she gets Error 404 and maintains her battle stance.
Prepare To Have: Your Ass Kicked (Literally)
Rhodonite twirls her scythe like a baton as she struggles to avoid hitting Queen with it.
The Science Center
Wards
"Anyway," says Dr. Phoenix, "we shall be checking on the others. Do you want to come with us?"
"Yes, please!" says Ralsei. "Will you be alright here, Claire?"
"Do not worry about that, another nurse can take it from here," says the Head Doctor.
"Alright!"
"See you around!" says Claire.
Safety Shelter
"So they still bullied you for being weird," Juan tells Tina.
"Oh no, she meant that she hates being called 'weird' because of her autism," says 6k1.
"But she said a while ago that she 'can be considered weird by some people', so I thought she was okay with the term."
He sighs at Tina. "Sorry again if I was being insensitive, even an autistic person like me has a hard time reading other autistics sometimes."
"Heh, I figured you're on the spectrum, too," says 6k1.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."

(Knox isn't 100% sure what else he can say to help make things seem better, especially since he feels he only made Blood Moon and Fire Eyes feel worse. He tries to think through his next words more carefully.)
You know what? Sitting here and arguin' ain't gonna do us any good...or make what happened any better...or...bring anyone back. (Knox says. He knows full well that not even Veena's pink venom could probably restore any of the fallen Mawkin to normal.) I'm...I'm sorry I didn't do anythin' to stop this from happening but...we just gotta keep goin' and take down Raven Butt.
(He looks at the chaos nearby.) Fire Eyes is right. It's clear he just saw all of ya as just a means to an end, don't it? He didn't care that those mighta been a buncha your friends. Once they turned against him, he just threw 'em away...just like he's probably gonna do to YOU. (The last comment was clearly directed at Blood Moon.)

The Fourth-Placers' Revenge
ZDR, Stanford's Lair
Once the mutants were rounded up and the clones dealt with, Shepard's team lowered their weapons and took stock of the situation.
"I think we're all intact, more or less," said Kaidan. He took a moment to wipe the sweat from his brow. "Maybe don't expect me to get us back out, though. That walk took a lot out of me."
"I'm all right," said Sabre. "Much as I hate that spell... I've been through a lot worse recently."
At the question of the mutants, the squad took a moment to think.
"I've only got battlefield medicine," said Shepard. "Freyja's right. Better to secure them for now and find a cure later."
"Maybe there's something in the lair that can fix them?" suggested Tricky.
"Maybe. We can't count on it, though. Our best bet would be to find some way to get them back to Panem and let the people there take care of it."
The cat rookie took out some spare grappling wire, offering to tie up the mutants with it.
"Anyway, Veena, what's our next move?"
ZDR, Outside Lair
"Right. Let's get to it." Ashley held up her communicator again. "Lab, what's this 'hypothesis' you have?"
"Strictly speaking, it's one of several, but let's start with the most likely one," said Nine-Tailed Cat. "Nought, would you care to explain?"
"Yes, yes," came Nought's voice. "If my intuition is correct, then the Voidlands energy is not as immutable as it appears - far from it, in fact. It is simply that no single form of power, whether magical or mundane, will have much impact. However, multiple simultaneous, contradictory effects should force it to react in incompatible ways, turning it against itself and unravelling it. It can resist anything, but not everything."
"Put simply," Nine-Tailed Cat concluded, "hit it with as many different types of energy as you can, and it won't hold up."
Ashley shrugged. "Worth a try," she said. "Krystal, do you have any ice spells left?"
Krystal nodded. "I can manage at least one," she said.
"Good." Ashley pointed to one Atomozoid relatively out of the way. "Let's focus on this one. Saheeli, I want you to use your metal powers on it. Lift it, move it around, whatever you can. While you're doing that, Krystal and Kyte can hit it with both ice and fire. If anyone's got other things to throw in, go for it."
Rivet took out her Lightning Rod and checked its ammo supply, then gave a thumbs-up. "I've got something here."
"I guess I'll be saving my disruptor rounds, then," said Ashley. She then stepped back and started getting the team into position. "Remember, we'll have to time it well. Someone shoots too early or too late, it'll be wasted."
Once everyone was ready, the squad moved into action. Saheeli focused her full power on the Atomozoid to try to lift it off the ground. Once her spell was in effect, Rivet fired off several rounds to electrify it while Krystal and Kyte moved in for a simultaneous ice-and-fire attack aimed at its core. The wolf rookie simply kept watch to ensure no one else interrupted them.
I like cute things. You gotta deal with it.

Blood Moon glanced at Knox, then at Fire Eyes, before letting out some insult in Mawkin language.
"I don't know yet what I am going to do with your "friends", coyote. But as of now... I admit you are right. Raven Beak must be destroyed. When he's done for... We will see." Blood Moon admitted rage in his voice. Fire Eyes silently agreed before frowning in realization.
"But... If we defeat him, the Metroids he controls will shut down. And when they do-"
"The X will seize the ships and flee. If my instincts are correct, I guess they will play safe and hide in unprepared universes, slowly growing their numbers until they are ready to strike unopposed. That would be their best move." Blood Moon continued.
Fire Eyes shook his head in denial before violently hitting the ground with a punch.
"We cannot let them loose. We will not let them loose. Even if the X are stopped and contained, there is no telling how many innocents those parasites will kill. I would rather die than let even one leave ZDR." he hissed, determined.
"And how do we do that? Even if the Metroids keep functioning for some minutes after their master's demise, I doubt you will have time to cleanse them all. You already struggled against me alone. What makes you think you can take on hundreds of them?" Blood Moon asked.

The Arena
Queen and Rhodonite's fight goes on until early evening, but Rhodonite loses control of herself and slashes Queen with her scythe. Queen falls to the ground and feels like she's glitching up, but just before Rhodonite can deal the final blow, the Total Drama Gems suddenly show up and pull Queen away from her to heal her, though they still can't fix her arms.
"WHAAAAAAAAA?!" Rhodonite screams as she tries processing what she just did.
She then feels the Reaper escape from inside her chest gemstone as a black wisp, but she continues clutching her hair with her four arms.
"I-I... Queen?! I, uh, uh... s-sor..."
But Rhodonite can't finish her sentence and runs away crying.
After spending the whole night recharging and debugging herself, Queen looks for her co-director, Daphne. She then tries throwing a cage at her but misses, so she asks Zaphod for help in catching her. Queen then "imprisons" her in a room full of bees and movie posters.

Meanwhile, Rhodonite finds a giant chicken and tries riding it, but it clucks and flaps its wings wildly as it runs around the Arena in fright. Rhodonite yelps as she tries steering it, but she flinches at a Sickening "Crunch!" under its talons, for she accidentally squished Brittany underfoot.

"Yeeeesh, just like his mommy!" Star shudders. "Pow-Pow, how are you able to survive them without asking Mom to cast her calming spell on you?"

Pearl just rolls her eyes at her, and then asks the other Red Squad members, "Any word from the tech team?"
Garnet simply nods at Veena and awaits further instructions from her.

Peridot also tries channeling her ferrokinesis on the test Atomozoid while the others fire various elemental attacks on it.
"Our innate abilities are some kind of magic according to Pearl, but it's not exactly the same kind of magic used in most fantasy shows. I think it's more on the technological side, but she wasn't really clear on that. Still, I hope the experiment works!"

(And go for it they do. At first, the Atomozoid does seem to resist their multiple attacks, but after a couple of seconds its form starts to look unstable and it looks like it might explode (or implode like the clones), as though it's trying to adapt to all of the attacks hitting it at once and losing control in the process.)

(Henry and Tenn start tying the mutants up. Unsurprisingly, the centipede mutant is a lot easier to tie up than the bubbly one, but it's clear that the group won't have to worry about these two for the time being.)

(At the top of the stairs, the hallway gets more chaotic, with the walls bent at strange angles and seemingly bottomless pits in the floor and ceiling. Random bits and pieces of different universes seem to be here as well. A large sign reading glitchy text that looks like it might have read "Lone Pine Mall" once upon a time is on the ceiling. Glitchy Question Mark blocks float here and there. Greta pushes aside an object that looks like it was once part of a treehouse out of the way as she enters with everyone. A broken computer is embedded into the ground under everyone's feet, and every thirty seconds or so, a mechanical voice in it says what sounds like "GOOD MORNING, JOHN..." in a slow, droning voice, breaking the quiet but glitchy-sounding ambience in this hallway. Just a few of many different objects floating around or sitting on the floor (or wall or ceiling) in this hallway.)
(More importantly, there are several doors in the walls that look like they could lead anywhere.)

(Knox once again feels faced with his own mortality when Fire Eyes mentions the possibility that they may end up having to die along with ZDR...but for some reason, he now feels a bit at peace with that possibility. Maybe it's the knowledge that doing so would ensure that his world (and other worlds, of course) would never have to deal with the X, lying in wait to consume everything.)
...Damn, I really HAVE changed, haven't I? (He mutters to himself. He feels if this had happened even just months ago he wouldn't have cared less and just been more concerned with his own self-preservation.)
(Still, though, Knox is reluctant to resort to this, especially since he still doesn't know where Joaquin is.)

Soon every clone was beaten, with the mutants still standing albeit defeated. Rouki almost killed them while they were down but controlled himself to not follow through when July tells the others not to attack them.

Veena then gave the instructions that going upstairs may help, the group followed carefully, with Pearl still looking at Rouki to prevent him from trying anything while they were moving ahead.
Pearl: I'd suggest we still watch out for Rouki.
Garnet: I don't foresee a possible betrayal now myself. But keep on guard if you feel safer like that.
Pearl: It's more about the others here.
While the way up was filled with glitches, somehow Bale's group didn't seem to be too worried.

Kirby: Those doors seem dangerous.
Pearl: We can't just trust they won't lead us to some horrible fate.

Preventing the X from escaping must be our priority before our survival. By the time your friends go from Raven Beak to here, the X may have already the time to control the shipyard and start evacuating. Taking them down is far more important than finding a way for our own escape." he sternly said.

"If the Science Center is too busy, we can only hope Stanford Stokes and his counterparts will be able to help. Surely they know to counter their evil counterpart's deed." James said.
"Assuming they stopped antagonizing us. Let's go." Nick said to Greta.
"Absolutely. First sign of betrayal, we get him." Arthur said to Pearl and Garnet, having seen Rouki almost kill the mutants.
"And when we do, you'd better not screw up and let him escape again." Scipion complained to Bale.
"Dark Stanford's really a sick guy, huh?" Alex said once they got to the top of the stairs.
"T-That is indeed... quite the exotic hallway." James commentated.
"Yup... Stay together, everyone. You don't want to get lost in here." Nick added.
"I know those doors could be risky, but we should check them anyway as Greta and Garnet said. With how large this place is, we'll have to search in every corner to find our objectives." Tokage said to Pearl and Kirby.
Gesturing at Alex and the Zoroark sisters to stay close to him, Tokage opened one. The FBW prepared to open another. Freyja, Scipion, and Onox stayed on guard.

Rhodonite is reduced to a shivering, shuddering mess at who her giant chicken, Clucky, just stepped on. She sees Brittany's soul float out of her body and fears that it might go all the way up to the Forcefield, so she grimaces as she shapeshifts back into her Reaper form.
At l-l-least I can fully control myself... she thinks as she jumps from Clucky's back and tries collecting the soul.
As night falls, Queen encounters Rough, who prepares to attack her. She cowers and pretends to be frightened by him and says Oh Noooooo I Refuse To Fight Youuuuu (OMG) I Am Too Kawaii To Be A Threat UWU :3
Meanwhile, Rhodonite shows off her Reaper form to Zaphod and tells him, "Don't be afraid of me because... I'm afraid of doing this job myself, and uh... I can just drink it, I guess?"
She then runs off covering her face again.
At sunrise, Queen makes a beeline to the buffet table and looks for her favorite drink. She then finds a pizza taco and tries eating it, just to see what it tastes like, but the taco pizza's toppings spill onto her joints and short her out.
Meanwhile, Rhodonite gets chased by Dharkstare. She screams and summons her scythe (which is part of her Reaper form) and tries striking back, but the creature moves around rapidly and fires icy orbs at her. Rhodonite loses her concentration and gets hit by one of the orbs, knocking her scythe out of her hands and making it vanish. With her whole body tingling, she desperately looks for something else to hit Dharkstare with, and she throws a random tree branch straight into its eye, just before it can fully encase itself in ice. Rhodonite looks away from Dharkstare as it then explodes, and she begrudgingly tries collecting its soul (if it has one).
Later on, Rhodonite sees Rough bullying Snow for his many deaths and getting kicked in the groin by him for it. She freaks out at the sight despite not having anything down there, and without thinking, she pulls her head out of her neck and poofs herself. Sometime later, her components regenerate and fuse once again, and Rhodonite, back in her normal form, checks her head and sighs in relief that it's back and she doesn't remember what she just saw.
Finally, she's called onto a Ninja Warrior competition, and she's competing against Manny and Rough. The timer starts, but she breaks down upon seeing how complex the obstacle course they have to navigate is. She then runs the other way and begs the authorities to let her forfeit the contest, but they shoot her directly into her gemstones with arrows.

"I'm doing fine!" says Liza. "I don't need anything right now, thanks!"
"Alright then, take care," says Dr. Phoenix.
"But what about the other doctors?" asks Ralsei. "Where are they?"
"Ah yes, let us go and find Julieta and Dr. Tennelli next."

Juan looks at 6k1's black and white rings on her middle fingers, and then at his own, and he raises his hands in the air.
"High ten!" he says.
6k1 smiles and gently slaps his open palms.
"I didn't realize until now that you're color-coordinated with me!"
"Well, I decided to wear this shirt color as part of my uniform after I realized I was a-spec!"
"Really? I didn't realize I was a walking ace flag until I talked to Cadance about my asexuality last EP year!"
But then she just realized... it was around her birthday when she had her counseling with her, and this EP year, she will be celebrating it in the Shelter. 6k1 just hopes that Cadance is still safe in that dimension Twilight hid her in.
"But anyway," Juan tells Tina, "did they overlook your achievements such as rescuing victims of Domestic Abuse just because you're part of those minority groups?"
"My friends didn't suddenly treat me differently when I told them I was just like you in both aspects, even if I was nervous about coming out as a-spec!" says 6k1. "I'm openly autistic, but I don't make a big deal about it other than having to work on my misunderstandings, yet there are still people who were surprised when I told them about it!"
She recalls Scipion being one of those people back in S250.
"And even before my friends knew about my condition and my orientation, they always saw me as the smart and kind Database Manager and still do to this day!"
"And Polar never saw me as just 'the autistic a-spec nom' either," says Juan.
Just then, Rua approaches 6k1 again to remind her that the season is over, and that the Whirlipede the other season didn't faint or die in its VR session because of its tough exoskeleton. Rua then asks her for her next tributes, and 6k1 thinks of CAC's current situation on ZDR.
"Send in Nimona and Ballister. I think CAC can relate to what the former went through back in her world if he were watching the season."
"Why?"
"It's a long story, so I'll just tell you that she's a shapeshifter like him."
Rua nods. "Huh, alright. I'll call her and Ballister and see if they'd be up to using VR."
After the operator leaves for a while, Juan sees Tina turn back into Stacy.
"Hmm... I was wondering how long you were gonna stay as Tina."
"Nimona loves 'shifting so much, she turns into a new animal every few seconds!" says 6k1.

The team makes their way upstairs to the distorted room, and while their VL suits' visors are protecting them from getting dizzy, they still find it a trip.
"It's like Funland if Mr. Smiley decided to just haphazardly throw in every silly idea he had into it!" says Steven.
"Imagine entering the mirror maze again, only to find that he rearranged everything and added new mirrors!" adds Connie.
"And dude, the Arena can become just as weird as this, too, if the Gamemakers set it up that way!" Amethyst tells Dick.
The other Garnet nods at her AR counterpart and double checks her report with her own Future Vision.
"Can confirm that, but we should still take caution with him."
The other Gems then look at the doors, and Lapis reaches her hand for one of the knobs.
"I hope there's a cure for the mutants or a revival machine past this one!"
"Be careful!" says Pearl, "I think we need to scan what's behind it first!"
"Yeah!" says Bismuth, "I learned the hard way that those 'ores' back in Cataris that I tried to mine at once were not ores at all!"
"But the other Pokémon already opened the other doors!" says Lapis.
Outside
Peridot quickly steps back as she continues manipulating the Atomozoid with her powers. As it starts breaking down, she finds it easier to move its parts around.
"Stand back, everyone!"

(Stacy shows a picture of Pierre) Nevermind that Pierre never showed any signs of being attracted to men back in the Chrono universe, and gender expression is not an indicative of sexual orientation. And besides, even if he happens to be gay, gay men are more than "just gay".
Stacy: As for Nimona, you're probably right, given her feeling of guilt. Unlike her, I was never shunned because of that ability, though.

(Miss Ball, Veena, and Zuma quickly join in on attacking the Imhotep clone, Ball tossing an exploding beach ball, Veena using her paralyzing venom, and Zuma using Rainbeams much like Joaquin did. Henry is quick to fire off a Dragon Pulse for good measure.)
(The combined efforts work and the Imhotep, less durable than the real one, implodes. The dust storm settles down.)
(The clones are now gone and the mutants are quickly becoming pacified.)
