Not Thriving: Wicked Heart Symbol

It's been around for almost three years, but there have been only 25 edits to the page, along with 31 examples, 54 wicks, and 370 inbounds.

That seems healthy enough to me.

If it's a real trope (i.e. not a pattern we're just making up, although its status of inverting "hearts = good" makes that unlikely), I don't see a problem.

I'll add that the good version of the trope sees little use either. I'd say it's definitely a trope, maybe just not a particularly common one.

Actually, I wonder if Heart Symbol would better distilled into sub-tropes for expressions of love, expressions of kindness, expressions of villainy...

But so is Wicked Heart Symbol? 54 > 13. I wasn't saying Heart Symbol isn't thriving, I'm just saying neither trope sees a great deal of use. Their trope pages are sparse.

I'm not really suggesting anything, except that I don't think there's much evidence that Wicked Heart Symbol isn't thriving. I just think it's a rarer trope (but not by any means Too Rare to Trope). I don't think any action needs taking here.
