Episode 4:

So the red outfit guy manages to be defeated easily? Okay. And while Tilana is seemingly going back to her home country, she changes her mind and joins Kei as a detective. Oh yeah, the standout thing about this episode is the vampire that got resurrected in the final minutes...Boy that was intense

Yeah, this episode sure was condensed in the first part. They obviously tried to fit in two episodes here. In normally paced episode the scene with Tilarna being back would be the last one.

They dealt with the red guy easily enough. How sad that the fairy had to sacrifice her life, that was tragic.

Kei sure is ungrateful for someone who almost had his brains blow off.

And now.. vampire. I feel like they should seen that coming. Once you know magic is real a coffin with words like "forbidden" or "blood" should raise some alarm bells.

I did enjoy the black comedy moment with Tilarnia and Cecil. evil grin

Episode 5: Well, this was disappointingly easy. Like, when was the last time you've seen cops just shoot a vampire and it working? By the end, the vampire was more pitiful than anything.

The dodgy animation to censor the gore is a bit annoying… Hopefully that's fixed in the blurays (though it's not like I can buy them anyway)…

Kudos to the VAs in this ep though. Acting a whole chunk of the episode in a conlang can't be easy.

Episode 5:

The vampire lady is hot but died at the end by train...Boooo! Oh well. On the other hand, I have a feeling that the red guy possess several people

Episode 6:

Some interesting misfortune that happened with the two protagonist which is funny as Kei got his car crashed two times by Tilarna and man the latter reaction with porn [lol] Oh right! Tilarna modified Kei's home at the end of the day as a pennance for getting his car crashed two times

[up] To be fair to Tillarna, after her first, nearly disastrous, encounter with the handbreak/park break and being told never to touch it again it makes sense she wouldn't know that it needs to be engaged, especially on an incline.

…Well, that sure was overkill for a bunch of porn mags. [lol]

Really liked this ep though. We got to see slightly different (and hilarious) sides to both Kei and Tilarna.

Is Tilarna like, literally a child? She does have that bratty younger sister vibe.

Also, someone should tell those guys they could just buy porn magazines and then sell them for an enormous overhead.

[up] I think it's mentioned early on. She claims to be about 26 but the other world apparently uses a different calendar and Kei says that works out to only be 18 or so. Which may be resulting in some Values Dissonance between Japanese and Western audiences. Most of the English speaking world has the age of majority as 18 and so technically Tillarna would be an adult (if only just), but in Japan its 20 and so she'd still be viewed as a minor.

And that's on top of the Values Dissonance of how teens (especially the late, pre-majority teens) are viewed as well.

We don't know the Seman age of majority either…

[up] I'm fairly certain when her age was brought up Tilarna did claim to be an adult so we have a maximum age limit (ie age of majority can't be anymore than 25 years in the otherworld calendar)

Episode 7 might be my favorite so far… although I'm a bit bummed that a character that's appeared in the opening since the beginning is offed after only one episode. But at least we could see her and Tilarna actually becoming friends, unlike that fairy in episode 4.

It helps that this episode wasn't action-focused, so the poor animation wasn't too much of a problem.

I'm not sure how legal the police methods used in this episode would be in a real country though…

Episode 7:

On this episode, we are introduced to a new character and she's from the opening song. Her name is Zoey and she's a photographer who disguise herself as prostitute and befriends Tilarna. But yeah, sad to see that Zoey betrayed her due to a politician getting involved in the scandal and getting killed (Not sure about it) at the end

Episode 8:

[up] Yeah, I agree with you. That goddamn bodyswitch with a cat! [lol] Cat!Tilarna looks cute tbh. And yeah, the episode ends with a cliffhanger when trying to pursue the ancient item that could turn her back to normal along with Cecil

It was funny but… damn, talk about a Mood Whiplash after episode 7. >.> Is there an episode missing somewhere? We went from "Nooo, a corrupt politician killed my friend and might get away scott free!" to "Nooo, I became a cat!"

This is a funny show. Like, everything this episode lined up perfectly so that nothing gets resolved.

Episode 9! First half resolves the Tilarnya "plotline", and the second half returns to the politician arc. That's a weird way of ordering events, but okay. >.> I quite liked the scene of Kei defending Tilarna after some jerk insulted her. A very Kei thing to do, although the scene was slightly drawn out. It's always hard to know how to react in these cases… Should you speak up? Or let the target of the insult defend themselves?

This series has just the weirdest transitions between stories. We go form Tilarna changing bodies with a cat, to a political assassination in a single episode.

Wow, Tilarna just went medieval on that guy! Look at her go!

They forgot about Cecil for hours! [lol]

Man, that police department is tightly knight. Pool parties and everything. Oh, and Kei is a food snob apparently.

So, we haven't seen the last of the asshole wizard.

Kei defending was so cool when he defended Tilarna.

Tilarna has a good point there. Who could benefit from having semian kill a mayor candidate, thus raising racial tensions? Could it be the far-right guy running on a racist platform?

Episode 9:

Yeah, I'll admit that Episode 8-9 is kind of having a non-linear story. I guess the one switching bodies with a cat is actually a filler story IMO. And good to see Tilarna is back despite the artifact being destroyed. tongue Anyways, I think the second half is the main story and it now focuses on political assassination as the red wizard is still on the loose. And damn! Kei's speech is interesting when the police officer called Tilarna an alien. Although I also agree with Tilarna that he also need to cut it off a bit but yeah. Still an interesting conversation. Also, a meeting while wearing a swimsuit? That's new [lol]

@Shlugo On that subject matter, I'd also argue that Nozleeny is also the dude behind this given well... His actions at Episode 7 and all which painted him as a scunmy figure

Episode 10:

Mozeleeny, the mayor that Tillarna encountered in Episode 7, is ded after getting shot by someone. And seems that Kei and Tillarna are investigating the real problem regarding the gun that shot the mayor and the one who manufactured it. Meanwhile, there's still a huge uprising against the Semanians
