Ben Kingsley is returning as Trevor "Fake Mandarin" Slattery once more IN AN UPCOMING WONDER MAN SERIES!

This is just a curious qn but is this specific forum even necessary? Whenever there is an MCU tv series news (or something worth discussing regarding said tv series), it would typically be discussed in great detail in either the main MCU forum or even the forum for specific series itself. So, do you guys think this forum is still needed?
The Final NameSure? It's supposed to be a general forum for Marvel live action television (which can also include non or pre-MCU shows). Some shows, like Wonder Man or the Halloween special, barely have info to justify a singluar thread that won't get buried.
Likewise, the main MCU thread goes a mile a minute, so some topics relating to these upcoming shows might get buried that way.
Having Trevor Slattery is a nice surprise, yet fitting for the titular acting character.
I wonder if we'll get anymore elaboration on All Hail the King through Trevor's appearance?

Fair enough, then.
The Final NameWhat more elaboration do we need?
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyI wonder if they'll get Nathan Fillion to return after he was going to play Simon Williams on some movie posters in Guardians 2 before that got cut?
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonA really cool thing about Wonder Man is that he's one of the few characters now who's got - as far as we can tell - zero connection to anyone else. Shang-Chi (and Moon Knight, can't believe I forgot that) is the only other one in the last couple years and I think Fantastic Four is the only one coming up in the next few years.
Wonder Man's story could be about anything. He's (apparently) not going to be connected to Vision here, he's an actor so he's also probably not going to be a (another) businessman jilted by Tony Stark. Trevor's going to be in it, but probably just in the context of being an actor. He's got a completely fresh perspective and no strings to tie him down (inb4 he's actually Ultron).
He could be good or evil. "Someone experiments on him" is his origin, but it was Zemo in the comics and we already know MCU Zemo isn't in the business of creating superhumans here. It was AIM in Earth's Mightiest Heroes, so hey - they might do that here and link it to Ant-Man, but they might not. It could be someone completely different, and plotwise he could do anything with those powers since he doesn't have Tony as an (initial) motivation here.
I'm getting more excited the more I think about it.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'll admit I rolled my eyes when I first heard about a Wonderman series, but if it's going to go hard on the Hollywood satire genre, that does at least give it a niche in the MCU. I may be interested.
Wonderman having no relationship to Vision is going to be weeeeiirrrd for me though. Especially if they introduce his brother, The Grim Reaper, long time avengers villain motivated by disgust at the Vision appropriating his brother's brainwaves.
Armor Wars seems like a more likely place for White Vision to show up again, all things considered—it won't be this, it wasn't Multiverse of Madness despite the connection to Wanda, and it probably won't be Quantumania, being that this iteration of the character has no connection to the Pyms by way of Ultron or otherwise. Anything else is impossible to say either way, but I kinda lean against it being any of the movies? idk, nothing really backing that opinion.

I wonder who'll they use to fight Simon.
He's one of those characters who's actually supposed to be stupid powerful within the confines of his universe (he's apparently as powerful as Thor or Hercules), but doesn't really get treated like it.
I also wonder if we'll get his Ionic energy form, or if he'll be rocking a pure human look most of the time.
I suppose this is a good way to introduce the Grim Reaper.
One Strip! One Strip!Based partly on a gag in one of the in-universe "credits" in Wandavision, I had speculated that Hayward might be the MCU's version of the Grim Reaper. I suppose it's still possible.
I came across a rumor about the MCU using "Ralph Boehner" again and having him be some canonical character. I suppose Wonder Man is possible, although I'd think he'd more likely be some demonic character given the connection to Agatha. Or else, Speed Demon.
I'm assuming that if they are focussing on Simon as an actor then he'll be facing problems that he can't solve by punching - along the lines of Mr Incredible and his desk job.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."A brother stiring up controversy might be fitting for that.
Wonder Man also has at some points become a pacifist desiring to end conflicts nonviolently so they might do something with that
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Every time I think the MCU is running out of heroes to film, we get an announcement like Moon Knight or Wonder Man. And I'm like, "Oh shit. I completely forgot that character existed. Okay."
Wonder how long until we see a Power Pack movie?
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm usually along the vibe of "wake me up when Man-Thing shows up".
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Their was news a few years back of a Power Pack movie being made but that's no longer in active development.

I used to joke to myself that even though the likes of Echo are gettig their own shows, Marvel will never feel the need to adapt Wonderman and or Tigra.
Colour me wrong.
I don't think they're bad characters, I just couldn't see a niche for them to fill.
That's Giant-Size Man Thing to you.
One Strip! One Strip!Finished Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Ms. Marvel, moving on to WandaVision (yes, I know I've gone out of order). I love the attention to detail in the first episode that when you have captions on, even THOSE are done in the old style of those black caption boxes with the white text.
I was going to comment on how convenient it is that the superhuman focused lawyer gets superpowers. But considering who her cousin is, it isn't completely out of nowhere.
