Squidward Gambit

When the Cranky Neighbor makes a plan to get their neighbours to stop bothering them.

A character who hates Christmas decides to prevent someone else from getting any presents.

When a guy named Chekhov makes a gambit.

A character one-ups their opponent in a seemingly innocuous fashion, e.g. by stealing their lunch money. Due to a chain of effects, this later turns out to have led to the latter's miserable, crushing defeat.

An animal is given an Awesome McCoolname for no reason.

Erectile dysfunction Played for Drama.

A narrative/artistic technique where artificial or fantastical elements are presented in a highly realistic manner that hits too close to home.

Amogus Ex Machina

When writers try to make a work more realistic, but it ends up just seeming fake in a different way.

When a character turns into Peppa Pig.

Peter Griffin Syndrome

A Fat Idiot gradually becomes a Fat Bastard over the course of the series.

Someone becomes The Grinch over time, to the point where they'll literally steal Christmas/or any other holiday from their hatred for said holiday.

Cartman Gambit

Whenever someone, usually a 3rd grader, plans to do something bigoted

Wound That Will Not Heal as the result of a betrayal.
