The Deadwood Cabin Incident RP Sign Ups

Well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

This is a Horror RP that ventures out of the usual tropes associated with slasher horror while making use of the surface few tropes;

The Setting: A Cabin in the Woods, where a number of plucky young people are heading for the time of their lives in the twilight of their high school lives. Senior year is about half way done, and everyone is looking forward to one last bash at the cabin owned by local rich kid lothario Wallace Di Monte.

The woods are thick with urban legends and rumors, with some saying a killer fled into those woods a decade ago and still lived out of them now. Others assign a number of odd cryptids to such a habitat, as well as a bevvy of curses, alleged native American burial grounds, and unexplained spooky encounters.

Is there a monster outside the cabin? Or are all the monsters on the guest list?

The Initial Characters:

• Bradley Jones: If you took the phrase \"The Jock\", distilled it, and put it into the form of a human being, you\'d get what Bradley Jones basically is...by surface appearances. Bradley is a well known womanizer, obscenely proud of his handsome features, and known for his tendencies. He\'s aggressive, prone to showing off his family\'s wealth, but the one man who makes him shiver in fear is his own father.

• AJ Castellanos: The stoner of the group - whenever the assembled teens need weed or other substances, it\'s AJ they call. He seems like a cool guy, but can make crazy choices whenever he\'s pushed a little too far. AJ has a bit of a chip on his shoulder due to the dissonance between the services he provides and how he winds up treated.

• Wallace Di Monte: The rich kid who is hosting the party. He started out as a poor kid everyone picked on, but then inherited his grandfather\'s incredible reserves of money, and became the man he is today. Wallace has built up a reputation of not only being a wealthy party animal but also having some distinctly odd habits. Every one of his girlfriends has an odd story to tell.

Is There A Monster?

It depends on your perspective. There could be one monster or multiple monsters, or even no monsters at all, just flawed humans.

Commentary on Horror

There will be a bit of a look at standard horror and slasher tropes. As well as reversals of some standard tropes.

Freeform or Other

The RP will largely be freeform, but I will keep things excited by use of dice for something that has no bearing on the direct action but more the direction of the story and the outlook.
