"Ah? You must be new here.

Where is here? Well, that takes a bit of explaining honestly. It may not make sense right away, but that's how reality will be for a while, till you get used to it.

Now where was I? Right, right, explaining. So, you know how things that get lost always gravitate towards a specific place, right? Coins to the couch cushions, keys and wallets to your other pants, and don't get me started on socks.

Now, what about people though? People are special when it comes to getting lost. Often, when someone is lost, they are found before they become truly lost. Those who don't, well, often end up here. This is Club Cross. It's more of an inn, or a hotel than a club, but the name sounds better.

Have a seat and a drink, make some friends, you're going to be here a while."
Dana Zane, Owner and first resident of Club Cross

Welcome to Club Cross, Home for the Wandering and the Lost.

First of all, thanks for coming down to take a look! Your interest is always appreciated!

With the thanks and the Intro out of the way, let's get this show on the road!

What is this?

Short answer: A sign-up thread.

Long answer: A sign up thread for a player/character driven RP set in a space that's between worlds.

Setting

The setting of this Rp is an interesting one, as it's going to be formed entirely by the characters that end up here. What do I mean by that?

Simple! When someone ends up in Club Cross, they end up bringing some of their own world with them, populating the land with some kind of notable landmark. Say if someone like Simon belmont showed up, we could have a section of Dracula's castle appear in the city around the club.

Until people show up, the city is just generic concrete buildings of varying heights. Imagine if New York and Tokyo had the most boring baby possible.

Rules

Gotta have them, unfortunately. Subject to change as needed.

  • Site rules apply above all else.

  • 3 Characters per person, at the start at least.

  • This is open to anyone and any character (Original or not), so long as they fill out the profile sufficiently.

  • At least one post a day, just to keep things moving. There won't be an upper limit, cause that's silly, but keep it reasonable.

  • And last but not least, when you finish making your profile, send me a Pm with a plot thread you want to explore with your character!

What do you mean 'a plot thread'?

I'm glad you asked! While this will be a character and player based Rp, there will be a ongoing plot, and many sub plots, based on the ideas of the players and characters involved. To help those plots develop, I want to hear from you all!

  • Hello, I'm: Kageyama Shigeo, also known as Mob. Carries the title of his school's 'shadow leader' White-T Poison, however he's completely unaware of his role.
  • Been around for: 14 years of age.
  • They tell me I'm a: Human/Esper. That is, a human gifted with psychic powers.
  • I consider myself a: Male.
  • Some say I'm from: Mob Psycho 100.
  • This is what I can do:
    • Psychokinesis: Arguably Mob's most prominent esper ability. With sheer force of will, Mob can manipulate objects with his mind, usually coating the target in a thin blue aura. He can also change the basic shape and behaviour of an object trapped in this psychic aura; i.e. causing metal girders to wriggle like cooked spaghetti and sheets of paper to harden into something as sharp as a razor. This ability is one Mob is most willing to show off to a minor degree if asked, as again this is the skill he has the most control over, but nonetheless he recognised how dangerous it could be left unchecked. Mob's Psychokinesis, at its higher levels of usage, also allows Shigeo to create thick barriers of psionic energy, enhance his physical capabilities by focusing his psychic power to specific parts of his body, achieve flight, and manipulate his own  kaleidoscopically-coloured aura into destructive waves.
    • Energy Absorption: Although being a technique Mob has only shown at 100% (and automatically at ???%), it allows him to enhance his capacity for psychic power by drawing energy from his immediate environment, most prominently the surrounding atmosphere but also including any other espers in the area. He also ends up inadvertently absorbing emotions along with it, however, which can become crippling if his accidental empathy draws a strong feeling from a person nearby and either interrupts or completely negates whatever he is feeling at that moment, which can cause him to potentially slip out of his 100% mode or even end up going 100% in the specific emotion he has absorbed.
    • Energy Transfer: A power Mob has only shown at 100% Trust, this ability allows him to temporarily infuse either all or a portion of his psychic power into both espers and non-espers, although the latter will bleed out quickly due to their body being unused to it, and may not be able to access advanced techniques if they are inexperienced in using psychic powers. Still, esper or no, anyone infused with Mob's power will automatically receive a powerful full-body shield for use against danger, as well as enhanced physical capabilities.
    • 100%: The eventual result of Mob's emotions overflowing, represented by a (purely external/narrative-driven) percentage meter that will gradually build up over time. In this mode, Mob will act according to the emotion that has leaked out, be it 100% Rage, 100% Tenacity, 100% Trust, Gratitude, Sadness, Regret, etcetera. His power usage in each of these so-called Explosions also reflect his emotional state; Rage may cause him to act in an offensive, infuriated manner, his powers being used to attack, Trust may cause him to activate his power transfer ability to the person he is trusting in (albeit only if physical contact is initiated), Regret may manifest after a Rage outburst and cause him to attempt to reconstruct whatever he's destroyed in his explosion, and so on. 100% is describing the point where Shigeo's mental blocks temporarily leak, and when he is unable to stagnate his emotions (and subsequently his enormous psychic power) in the process.
    • ???%: An unknown, extremely violent state that awakens whenever Mob is knocked unconscious, differing immensely from the other Explosions in that it is vastly more unpredictable and doesn't react according to a specific emotional state; using every one of Mob's abilities, latent or otherwise, without a hint of holding back. It seems to be instinct-driven, and is essentially all of Mob's latent psychic potential unsuppressed and acting by its own accord, ignoring Mob's ingrained moral standards in favour of manic lashing-out at perceived enemies. Its presence is so powerful that it can cause tremendous environmental disasters simply by it taking a step, and it is easily identified by the horrific trail of destruction it leaves in its wake. It can be halted either naturally, a trusted person of Mob approaching him for reassurance, or by a strong psychic (or multiple) to infiltrate his mind and awaken Mob manually, which is a much more difficult option. Mob is unaware of the specifics of this particular Explosion, but subconsciously knows of its vile presence and instinctively suppresses it with all his might so it may never see the light of day. Even if a part of him knows it's a hopeless effort.
  • People describe me as: An awkward, slightly timid, and otherwise bland and uninteresting outward appearance disguises an emotionally complex boy desperate to live up to his own self-inflicted idealism and moral standards. Initially coming off as emotionless, Mob has actually developed a complex; since his powers are directly tied into his emotional state, he feels obliged to bottle up almost every major emotional reaction within himself in an attempt to avoid letting his powers go out of control. He doesn't fully seem to realise this as being his own doing, as it is almost a subconscious procedure at this point, but he does seem to be at least aware of his impassive nature as he finds himself occasionally apologising on behalf of it. Unfortunately, anyone who has attempted to force themselves in becoming emotionally withdrawn will be familiar with the gradually expanding turmoil of repressed emotion within Mob that escalates over time as a consequence to his trapping of them, and even despite his impressive ability of holding back he can find himself 'leaking' in dire situations, clawing desperately to regain control only to end up accelerating himself further into his inevitable spiral into an emotional breakdown. These so-called 'explosions' are thankfully infrequent, however they tend to creep up on both Mob and the people around him, and the final push can occur from something as small as too little salt in his meal to something as traumatizing as seeing a loved one assaulted without being able to act on their behalf. Mob comes across as quiet and slightly clueless, seemingly unable to read the atmosphere and being occasionally too blunt and direct in his words, but the kid means well, unafraid to humiliate himself if it means a heartfelt apology and determined to live up to the morals ingrained in him by his mentor; Arataka Reigen.
  • This is what I look like:
  • Looks like I dragged this with me: The chunk of Mob's homeworld that he has carried with him is a medium-to-large sized portion of Spice City – a somewhat colourful and quirky metropolis – and the area accompanying Mob includes Salt Middle School, the suburban area many of the students of each reside in (including Mob's house), as well as a tiny inner city area that includes the Spirits & Such Consultation Office (Mob's workplace). All the residents of the these places are intact (albeit confused) – however it seems like some of the more spiritual residents have been taken along for the ride...
  • My past is a long tale:
    • All seemed to be going decently in Mob's life; barring a few cruel mockeries and insensitive comments on his naturally bland emotional nature and difficulty to amuse from his peers, and the young Mob was even developing an adorable puppy-love for his classmate Tsubomi, freely displaying his psychic abilities to make frogs fly and playground sets wobble in an attempt to impress her (naturally, the gimmick wore off after a while and the girl soon moved on to admiring the track runners and hard-working athletes instead of a random kid's god-given ability). Apart from this, Mob seemed to be a normal (albeit shy and reserved) kid, up until an event involving a group of bullies assaulting him and his brother for cash while they were walking home one evening. Desperate to protect his younger brother, Mob made a stand against them, only to be swiftly knocked unconscious with little to no effort. However, mere moments later, an unknown source manifested from within him as a vile, unidentifiable presence, severely injuring the bullies along with his brother. To Mob, it was as if he had blinked, and the trauma left on his impressionable mind affected him to the deepest level.
    • Fearing for the safety of the others around him, Mob eventually found himself under the direction of the 'genius psychic' Arataka Reigen (who was actually a masseuse looking for a wider audience and had jumped at the chance of bringing an actual esper into potential apprenticeship for his new career as a spiritism 'expert' and exorcism consultant). Reigen, despite his fraudulent nature, felt pity for the young boy, and offered him genuine life advice to help Mob with his inner turmoil. He taught him that psychic powers were no different from any other gift such as singing and dancing, and that 'you can't put one over the other.' Finishing up his explanation by comparing psychic powers to knives that should be handled with care (or as Mob understood it; shouldn't be pointed at people), Reigen continued to be a guiding presence in Mob's life, eventually taking him under his wing as 'assistant' to the Spirits & Such Consultation Office for 300 yen an hour (even though Mob has done most if not all of the work so far). After defeating the leader of the cult [LOL] – a religion based around forcing happiness onto its followers – Mob is feeling emotionally refreshed from his assurances by Reigen regarding the matter...

  • Hello, Im: Dana 'Red Comet' Zane.

  • Been around for: 33

  • They tell me Im a: Human.

  • I consider myself a: Female.

  • Some say Im from: Va-11 Hall-A

  • This is what I can do: While a normal human in most aspects, Dana has three major things going for her in terms of raw abilities.
    • Nano-Machines: Like all inhabitants of Glitch City, Dana is dosed with Nano-Machines. While they don't do much besides help her to be located by someone with the correct equipment, and give her a mildly faster regeneration.

    • Strength: Due to her training in the Neo-San Fransisco Police department, and her short wrestling career, Dana has trained her body into a rather potent force, able to catch someone attempting to kill themselves out of the air, and survive the crash into the building that resulted.

    • Mechanical arm: Due to some kind of accident, Dana has replaced her left arm with a fully functioning prosthetic. While she hasn't lost any motor skills or strength from the arm, it is unclear if she gained anything from it either, aside from the use of two hands again.

  • People describe me as: A scatterbrained, boisterous, but fiercely loyal woman who cares little for 'laws' or 'culture', doing only what she feels is the correct choice. She gives little regard to the consequences of her choices, so long as she is sure they were in the best interest of herself and those around her. The kind of woman to give someone her jacket off her back, wonder why it's cold, and buy a flamethrower because she got distracted from buying, in her words, a "'Bitchin' new jacket.'"

  • This is what I look like: Order up!

  • Looks like I dragged this with me: Dana's chunk of the city is Club Cross itself. At least, the bar portion of it. Filled to the brim with drinks and ingredients to make more, Dana was more interested in exploring the repleca of VA-11 Hall-A then she was concerned for ending up there when she arrived. Now, a few years later, she has set up the bar as a refuge for any and all who find themselves in the same situation she is. The bar comes complete with juke box, an office, a storage room, bathrooms, an office, and a panic room, along with stairs to the rooms above.

  • My past is a long tale: Dana's past is a murky one, simply due to the amount of rumors flying around her. Many believe Dana starts many of these herself, though to what end, no one is ever sure. What is know for sure is a rather short list.

As a child, she would pick fights with kids bigger than her. Reasoning is never given for this, though she doesn't regret it. She is fiercely protective of her younger sister, having maintained a good relationship with her well into adulthood. She worked as a police officer until she was caught in an illegal fighting ring, at which point she left and went on to date a woman, get her head stuck in a bucket, and decide they should remain friends.

This did not dissuade her from any other activities, as she became a wrestler under the name 'The Red Comet' in the coming years, her crowing achievement being the non-lethal defeat of a group of bears. All of this occurred before she lost her arm, and opened VA-11 HALL-A.

I'm going to enter my Rifts PC into this, along with her best friend, who also happens to be a magic hat. This should be very fun! I have high hopes.

  • Hello, I'm: Kayne [REDACTED]
  • I've Been Around For: 15 years
  • They Tell Me I'm A: Human
  • I Consider Myself A: Female
  • Some Say I'm From: Rifts
  • This Is What I Can Do:
    • Technological Genius: Kayne shows a particular knack for assembling devices and improvising building materials when none are available. During her adventures, she experimented until she found how to make devices that could absorb magic and store it for later use, inventing her own brand of magic. Additionally, she is a reasonably competent hacker.
    • Wandering Scholar: As a wandering scholar, Kayne is well-versed in many areas of study and speaks multiple languages. She seems to have been gifted with a natural aptitude for learning, as well as a persistent thirst for knowledge. The hoard of books in her shack attests to this.
    • Clockwork Arm: The entirety of Kayne's left forearm is a mechanical prosthetic, and she usually covers it up with a thick leather glove. It enhances what remains of her left arm, making it several times stronger than before. It looks like this.
    • Gun Expert: Kayne knows a lot about guns. She is mostly accustomed to using her energy rifle and plasma pistol, but she knows in theory how older guns work. Incidentally, having a mechanical arm makes for some very steady aim...
    • Survivalist: Having lived in the wastelands and contended with the Coalition States for an extended period of time, Kayne has become an expert at surviving harsh conditions. This has also given her some degree of medical expertise, but don't expect her to work miracles. She has a habit of putting a vibro-knife in her right boot.
  • People Describe Me As: Kayne appears distant and cold at first, but upon closer inspection, she's actually a very eccentric character. She tends to lapse into technical terms when something piques her interest and has a habit of flapping her hands about whenever she speaks. She has her cynical moments, but even so, she remains dedicated to helping people. Just don't mention the Coalition States...
  • This Is What I Look Like: [1] Her left arm is covered with a thick leather glove, and her eyes flick around restlessly. The apron is made of a tough fiber cloth, and can act as light armor in a pinch.
  • Looks Like I Dragged This In With Me:
    • Kayne's Chunk consists of her shack and a small piece of its surrounding lands. The shack stands in the middle of a large, open field with a fast-moving freshwater river running through it, surrounded by a thick band of trees. Kayne chose to settle here because the field simultaneously forced attackers to come out into the open space where she could pick them off and because the field had excellent soil for gardening. The proximity to a water source was also nice.
    • Her shack is a roughshod construction with a wind turbine sticking out of the top and several solar panels placed precariously on the roof. These all power a hybrid device that charges her prosthetic hand and acts as an air conditioning unit/stove. Connected to the shack is a smaller shed, which doubles as a workshop and a garage for her much-abused Frankenstein monstrosity of a motorcycle. Additionally, she cultivates a small vegetable patch by her shack. There is a small drainage ditch surrounding the property. A red cloth flutters proudly from a crooked flagpole between the shack and the garden.
    • For the sake of her own convenience, she has built a working plumbing and sewage system that leads to the river and back, using copper pipes. A water processing unit placed in a metal box pumps water to Kayne's shack. A pump near Kayne's shack, also in a metal box, ejects sewage into the river, where it is quickly swept away by the rushing water.
    • The inside of the shack is a mess. Stacks of books litter the floor. A board placed on four stacks of bricks serves as a table. Crates serve as chairs. Pots are piled near the stove/air conditioning unit, along with a piece of steel wool. Pipes are exposed throughout the place. A hammock is strung up in a corner with a small dresser next to it. A curtain conceals the bathroom area, with a wooden tub and a toilet in surprisingly good condition. Despite her home's kitbashed nature, Kayne refers to it as her "house," and will insist that others do the same.

Name: Kayne [DATA EXPUNGED]

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Height: 5'0"

Weight: 120 lbs.

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Occupation: Wandering Scholar

History: The daughter of [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA EXPUNGED]. She grew up in the rebel township of [DATA EXPUNGED], where she found and befriended a magical top hat named Moko. Later, the CS conducted a raid on [DATA EXPUNGED], destroying magic items, burning books, and killing everyone present. Kayne and Moko managed to survive by hiding under a cardboard box. The two then took to surviving in the wild, until our people found them and offered them an opportunity to fight back against the CS. Since then, they have helped us recover valuable intel about the CS. Currently, they are wandering the wilderness once again.

URGENT UPDATE: Reports have come in that Kayne's residence and its surrounding lands have been swallowed up by a massive dimensional rift. Rescue parties have reported no success in locating her or Moko, and their current whereabouts are unknown. We can only hope that they finds a way to come back to us...

Hey, who are you kidding? It's Kayne and Moko, for goodness' sake! If they don't manage to come back through a rift, I bet she'll just whip up some doodad to literally cut through the fabric of reality and come back that way! She's a strong girl. Moko'll protect her if worst comes to worst. They'll make it.

Now introducing Kayne's best friend—the magical top hat Moko!

  • Hello, I'm: Moko
  • I've Been Around For: ??? years
  • They Tell Me I'm A: Arcane Garment
  • I Consider Myself A: Magical Top Hat
  • Some Say I'm From: Rifts
  • This Is What I Can Do:
    • Dimensional Pocket: Moko has a dimensional pocket of undetermined size inside of him. It is only accessible by the person who Moko considers his "wearer" i.e. Kayne. Otherwise, if someone flips him over, all they will see is the inside of a normal top hat.
    • Regeneration: Should Moko be damaged in any way, he can regenerate lost or damaged parts by eating cloth and other materials used to make hats. If a place is sufficiently saturated with magic, he can accelerate his regeneration by absorbing the ambient magic.
    • Chameleon: Moko can disguise himself as a regular top hat by closing his eye and mouth, rendering them as small slits that look as if they were stitched shut from the inside. He must also wrap his arms around himself to make them look like a hatband.
    • Telepathy: Moko can communicate telepathically with sentient creatures, regardless of their language, up to 1 mile away. He can also create a telepathic bond with up to six people. People within the bond can communicate telepathically with one another regardless of distance or language. The bond lasts until midnight.
    • Immunity: Moko makes his wearer immune to psychic/magic detection and tracking powers. Obviously, this applies to him as well. Mundane tracking methods will still work, however.
    • Sorcery: As a magical item, Moko is able to perform numerous magical spells for the benefit of the wearer. A maximum of three spells may be in use at a time, and casting too many spells will tire Moko out, forcing him into dormancy until he gets enough rest. Surprisingly enough, he is able to get Heroic Second Winds with startling regularity, despite his limitations.
  • People Describe Me As: Moko acts like a Quintessential British Gentleman, and speaks like one too. He claims not to remember what happened before he showed up at Kayne's doorstep, but he doesn't realize that Kayne has caught on to this lie and is only not confronting him about it out of politeness. Despite his habitual fretting, he cares about Kayne deeply and, like her, becomes furious upon witnessing injustices.
  • This Is What I Look Like: [1] He has some very sharp teeth in that mouth of his. Each of his "arms" are 2 in. thick and 10 in. long. When Kayne is wearing him, it is very hard to dislodge him.
  • Looks Like I Dragged This In With Me: N/A
  • My Past Is A Long Tale:
(The sun dawns on the scorched ruins of a thoroughly razed town. It is completely empty save for a pile of ashes in the town square. On the edge of the pile is a half-burnt book. It is a girl's diary. It's smudged with soot and ash, but some entries are still legible.)

(The handwriting in the first entry is neat and precise.)

Today I was given a diary. I guess I should humor my aunt and write in this. My name is Kayne [smudge], and I just turned 10 today. I live in a medium-sized town, called [smudge]. I like to learn things. Mama says I already know a lot, but I don't think so. I hope Papa comes home and teaches me more things soon.
(The second entry is stained with what looks like chocolate.)
Today I found a strange hat on the doorstep. I asked Mama and Papa whether we should help him (his name is Moko) and they said yes. We're going to keep him now. He talks strangely, but I find it nice. He likes food a lot. Tomorrow I'll see if I can get some candy for him. I like Moko. He's nice.
(The third entry is written shakily.)
Today I heard that the CS is targeting us. I hope not. But if they do, I think we can beat them. That's only if they send soldiers, though. If they send mechsuits or bombers, then we have no chance. I'm scared, but Moko says I have to be brave and that he'll protect me. It's a little less scary now.
(No more entries are legible.)

I wear the skin of the Elder Things, having come unto my own.

Eh, screw it. I'll just post it. If you can read through this with no prior knowledge and actually come out with no questions whatsoever, I applaud you. If not, I'll be happy to answer. Because this crap got detailed.

  • Hello, I'm: First Lieutenant Kyxe Seng of the Aentolian Army. Heiress of the House of Seng.
  • Been around for: 268 years. (Or in her point of view, about 26. Kayden's years are ten times longer than Earth's.)
  • They tell me I'm a: Kaydenite.
  • I consider myself a: Female.note
  • Some say I'm from: Kayden. A tidal-locked planet (a la Earth's moon) where the privileged live on the daytime side and the so-called savages live on the night.
  • This is what I can do:
    • Plasma Generation: A biological ability all Kaydenites share, Kyxe has the power to form high-heat plasma for usage as solid constructs and searing projectiles via a collection of hollow sacs located in the abdomen.note  The lining of these organs are full of supercharged pacemaker cells, which can generate tremendous amounts of heat to convert the trapped air inside into plasma, which can then be pushed around and even out of the body through the Kaydenite's exceptionally porous skin. While the average Kaydenite has four of these organs, a birth defect renders one of Kyxe's malformed beyond any conceivable use – which not only makes larger, more complex constructs impossible for her to create, but also causes her to suffer from regular abdominal pain. Still, Kyxe has managed to push her limits, and has become highly skilled with smaller, more versatile weapon shapes such as short-swords and throwing daggers. However, constant generation in a short period of time can still affect her quickly and cause her to "burn out" – where her plasma-producing organs become inflamed from excess heat and cause symptoms of high fever and smoke damage; the worst effects of which can last up to ten minutes. The term for this biologically-produced plasma in Kyxe's language is "Kenlœ" – or in English; "Hardlight" – which is the description she most often uses while talking to humans even if it isn't the most accurate translation.
    • Advanced Athleticism/Flexibility: Kaydenites are physically shorter and more petite in stature to that of humans – males are usually around 5'5 on average while females are a solid 5'0, as opposed to 5'10 and 5'5 for humans – and their muscle mass and bones are much lighter, the latter of which are even hollow similar to that of birds. As such, they have a natural affinity for speedy and unpredictable movements – which is necessary, as their thin forms are also made considerably more fragile as a consequence for their manoeuvrability, putting them at greater risk at death when up against more physically imposing foes. Nonetheless, Kyxe's status as a well-trained soldier means she flaunts this ability to its highest degree; showing tremendous skill in both parkour and extravagant acrobatics. She just has to pray she's agile enough so as to not actually get hit by anything, since even a single mid-to-high level injury could make her fragile form a sitting duck in an already perilous situation.
    • Glottal Warblers: More a trait than a conventional ability, Kyxe along with her alien brethren all have three slits in the skin on either side of their necks, which appear relatively minor and inconspicuous when closed. However, a Kaydenite can choose to open these slits up, to which they can then access a variety of inhuman screeches, warbles, roars and growls, almost all of which are necessary in select native languages such as Aentolian. When active, the glottal warblers give Kyxe a much deeper pitch of voice, and they are also tied into her Hardlight systems, allowing her to direct excess plasma out of the slits in the case of a burnout to better ease her symptoms and lower her body temperature. This "venting" process is not their intended purpose, however, so Kyxe has to be standing perfectly upright and be allowed some privacy for the utmost concentration – lest she damage the fragile tissues within the slits and render herself permanently unable to speak in her native tongue.
  • People describe me as: Although mostly kind-hearted, comforting, and occasionally even motherly in her mannerisms, Kyxe has garnered a reputation for being ruthless and efficient in battle, her cold spite towards those she perceives as her enemies rivalling the hatred of some of the worst criminals on her own planet. That being said, she doesn't particularly like fighting by any means, as it tends to quickly tire her out – instead preferring a more diplomatic and social approach to resolving conflict – but once pushed past her limit she will not let up and will try to end it as quickly as possible, convinced that despite her dislike of the process that a more ruthless, direct approach is sometimes inescapable, even if others don't quite see her way of thinking. Due to being of the House of Seng; arguably the closest family on Kayden to resembling human morality, Kyxe doesn't have as many heavy instincts of the bird-like Kaydenites than other houses, however the occasional head tilt and inquisitive, unblinking stare can give her inward alien mind away if she isn't careful. She tends to come across as having an overall aura of child-like curiosity combined with a slight aloofness, but occasional slips and mistakes on her part end up revealing a drastically different way of thinking and a slightly warped sense of right and wrong, tending to justify her sometimes rash decisions with incoherent strings of explanations in her own alien tongue.
  • This is what I look like: 5'2 in height. Seams of glottal warblers visible upon close inspection, even while closed. Carnivorous, sharpened teeth. Gums, tongue, and other such interior flesh are coloured blue instead of red. Eyes glow a soft neon white colour, but the pupils don't constrict or dilate in light changes.
  • Looks like I dragged this with me: A square five mile segment of her home city of Aentolin. It is densely packed and dizzyingly tall, having buildings layered in reflective outer sheets to combat the Kayden sun's rays and actively incorporating nature into its architecture; including forests, vines, and waterfalls that cascade down some buildings onto carefully constructed pools on the roofs of their smaller counterparts. Solar-powered hover vehicles populate the spaces between the monolithic skyscrapers to ridiculous degrees, accompanied by gyroscopically-constructed automated drones in place of law enforcement and traffic control. Kyxe's fellow Kaydenites dot the walkways and interiors of each building, and the chunk of land even includes her own home; the colossal Seng Compound.
  • My past is a long tale: Kyxe was born in the city of Aentolin to a couple known as Ji'la and Van'l Seng, the then latest generation of the prominent House of Seng – a respected political family with roles in intercity politics and diplomacy between more unruly Houses on the council of Aentolin. Due to her lineage, high expectations were placed on the young heiress – only for tragedy to strike as it was revealed that a birth defect had rendered one of her plasma-producing organs severely deformed and unsuitable for use. Kayden's societal focus on combat and the production of high-class warriors meant that each House competed for the strongest heirs, and the higher class Houses such as the Seng were under tremendous pressure to outdo themselves with their latest in line. As such, the development was seen as a disgrace by some – including even those in Kyxe's own family, barring her parents – and so the young heiress was mistreated in her early years due to her perceived inadequacy in combat. However, her perseverance proved otherwise as she grew older, and she became an exceptional warrior despite her disability with nothing more than her wits, sheer willpower, and a few handy tips and words of encouragement from her fellow political heir, Rine of the House of Anok. Now several hundred years later in the eyes of a human, a mere few decades to Kyxe, the heiress has turned from a self-doubting trainee to a fearsome soldier; now of Lieutenant rank and ready to prove her worth to those that doubted and mocked her.
  • Extra Stuff I Couldn't Squeeze In But I Thought Was Worth Mentioning Sue Me:
    • Despite outwardly sharing a lot of similarities with humans, Kaydenites have even more glaring differences than just their Hardlight organs, glottal warblers, and glowing eyes. Their blood, instead of being red, is a saturated blue. This is because their blood is hæmocyanin based instead of hæmoglobin based – in other words, their blood cells are built up of copper instead of iron in order to carry oxygen. Much of the wildlife on Kayden have this blood type, mainly because of the differences in oxygen count in the planet's atmosphere requiring a different method of isolating and carrying it across a creature's body.
    • Aentolian Kaydenites in particular have a term in their culture describing a specific connection between two individuals. The word is valen, and acts both as a plural and singular, reflecting the exceptionally intimate bond that the pair of persons have to share to fit the criteria. While not exclusively romantic, and directly translating to English as "closest friend", the word valen is more akin to the concept of a soulmate, and forcefully breaking this relationship either by killing one or separating one from the other will result in the remaining individual to slip into an enraged, bestial state, in which all civility ceases until they get their respective other back. Kyxe herself is blessed to have found a valen – namely in the aforementioned Rine Anok – but she has yet to discover if he has been transported along with her yet.

Just saying, Kayne's going to have an absolute field day examining Mob and Kyxe. Poking and prodding abound!

  • Hello, I'm: Clover Dietrix.
  • Been around for: 68.
  • They tell me I'm a: Half high elf, half dark elf.
  • I consider myself a: Female.
  • Some say I'm from: The continent of Vickstein. It was divided by two tribes of elves. The dark elves live scattered in the forest surrounding the continent. The high elves lived in the crystal city of Avalon. In the center of the city was the Azure Lake, and in the center of the Azure Lake was the skyscraper Dietrich Crystal Tower, where the Royal Family, the Dietrich, lives.
  • This is what I can do: I am a nimble runner and climber. My archery is excellent. Although I have received (informal) training in magic, I am only able to perform limited healing magic.
  • People describe me as: I am shy and reserved. I do not make friends easily. I have trouble trusting people and I also assume people don't trust me. I love cute and girly things.
  • This is what I look like: I am 160cm tall. I have long dark hair tied in a braid. I have a purple floral tattoo on the top of my left eye. I have olive skin and bright green eyes. I wear a short cape, a minidress with shorts underneath, and boots.
  • Looks like I dragged this with me: The Dietrich Crystal Tower is actually five connected tower. The Central Tower is high enough to pierce the clouds, while the North, South, East, and West towers are half as tall. The towers had thousands of batteries where magic cannons poke out. It has a gigantic library that is 10 kilometers square, and a dance hall so extravagant that it can easily host thousands of guests per day. There is also the training grounds for soldiers, as well as a magic academy nearby.
  • My past is a long tale: The circumstances of my birth have been a controversial. Some said my father took my mother against her will, some said my mother ran off with my father out of love. My mother is under a spell forbidding her from revealing the truth. Whatever the case, they were both captured by the high elves and my father was execute. The only reason I live to this day is because of my high elf blood. My mother somehow convinced the Royal Family to let me live in the Tower, but I have very few fans there. I have been excluded of all the luxuries of the Tower, with the exception of the training ground.

Where there's life, there's hope.

I want to make a separate post to ask some questions.

Can we have less than 3 characters? I have a busy semester so I will have trouble playing as more than one characters.

Do all characters from the same players have to come from the same world?

Where there's life, there's hope.
