- Name: Johnny Redfield

- Appearance: A young Caucasian man with black hair and green eyes, Johnny Redfield is about six feet tall and of a slender and athletic build. He often wears a gray tank top, black jeans, and black athletic shoes.
- Abilities: Johnny is intelligent and well-read, but he is also somewhat outdoorsy, enjoying hiking, camping, and fishing. He is good at fishing and can survive on his own in the woods if need be.
- Weapon: A simple hunting knife that he considers to be lucky
- Backstory: Johnny grew up in a rural part of the islands and his father taught him how to live off the land. Other than that, his childhood was pretty average and normal. But he does cherish the memories of the many times he went fishing with his father and grandfather. Now he finds himself near the old bridge at the beach fishing, unaware of exactly where this fishing trip will take him.

Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Short and thin. White. Dyed purple hair with a white streak in the front. Tends to wear simple tops and high-waisted skirts with leggings and boots in a cream/white color scheme.
Abilities: Somewhat agile. Has great artistic skill for her age and an eidetic memory.
Weapon: A wooden staff with a sharp metal-tipped end that she uses (for now) like a bo staff/pike.
Backstory: Faye is the only child of a male scientist. They are refugees from a foreign conflict that separated her from the rest of her family, and ended up in the Marigold Islands several years ago. Faye is independent and tenacious, but struggles with shyness and a strong aversion to violence. She likes to draw things she sees in her explorations around the islands, especially animals.
Connections: I assume she would be friends/acquaintances with others in the setting.

Well, that's not exactly true. There is a bridge that breaks off on the main island. Nobody knows where it goes, except for the oldest and wisest people: For 50 miles off the main island, there is a 5th island, very small in size, containing only two things: a small house, and a deactivated portal.
Until one day, when it turns on.
A lady stepped out, carrying a box. She put the box in the water, and pushed it out, hoping it got somewhere.
"Please, please someone get this, and help us."
The first post will have everyone meeting up, intentional or otherwise, at the beach on the edge of the main island, right next to the old bridge. This is where the box will come in, and their lives will be forever changed because of it.
