I hope it doesn't get shat on for looking different.
"We be we baby!"Does Little Dot still have an obsession with dots in this?

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I wonder how Lotta's character will be changed. Back in the day, her whole characterization (at least in the stories I read) was that she liked to eat. A lot. Obviously they wont be able to do that here.

Fixed the link in the description. So, how do you feel about the re-imagined trio's looks so far?
"We be we baby!"I honestly don't know. I'm not particularly familiar with anything about Harvey Comics aside from Casper the Friendly Ghost, Wendy the Good Little Witch, Richie Rich, and Hot Stuff the Little Devil.
And even then, I only know about Wendy because of her association with Casper and I only know the other 2 by name. (And also apparently Richie had a live-action Netflix series that only lasted the one season which could only mean it didn't catch on with anyone...)
In summation, I'm not one to judge.
I read the summary for that reboot and it's no wonder it didn't take off, because everything about Richie made him In Name Only. I can understand the concept of Richie Rich could be touchy in a post-recession world but I think if you adjust things the right way he could be appealing to a present crowd.
I guess we'll see if they do just that...assuming he actually shows up in this show.
I'm sure you'll hear at least some whining over how this doesn't look enough like the original versions (just cuz, you know, internet), but possibly not much because all of these characters have been out of the public eye and the public consciousness for more than a generation now. That said, I don't really care for the art style. It looks much too generic for my tastes.
Any thoughts now that the show's out?
I actually like this show as I found its humor to be funny in a sort of Simpsons way and the updated style to be more appealing to look at. Honestly I consider this a better updated take on comic characters from a 40s/50s era comic than that Riverdale show (seriously the Mark Waid Archie reboot comic at least retain the whole teen comedy element the series was known for while doing a realistic take on the character instead of just making it a straight forward serious drama).
Unrelated rant aside, I am actually pleasantly surprise with how this show turned out and makes me wonder what would happen if this series touch upon all the other more popular Harvey characters like Casper or Richie Rich?
It's an okay show I guess. I think to simlar to Craig of the creek though.

Wait, Lotta's Jewish?

According to Brendan Hay, all 4 seasons of the series were written from January-June 2018. That's quite surprising. They wrote a whole series in 5 months .
I think that tweet refers to Season 4 not the whole series.
Remember back when Dream Works bought the rights to the Harveytoons collections? Well here's the fruit of their labor:
Seems promising. I don't mind the updated versions of Audrey, Dot, and Lotta, but I think it will be very similar to Craig Of The Creek in terms of plot.
On Harvey Street, everyday feels like best Saturday ever; with never-ending games, a 42-flavor ice cream truck, and the greatest climbing tree in town! Thanks to BF Fs Audrey, Lotta, and Dot, Harvey Street is the best place to never grow up. The new Dream Works series Harvey Street Kids comes to Netflix June 29!
What are your thoughts on the upcoming series? I'm going to try and give it a watch.
Edit: Fixed the link. We can all take the others down now.
