Well, it has, just not as much as was expected. It's playing with the trope to some degree.

I don't think playing with the trope makes for a clear image, though, especially when it's a downplayed example.

Needs the fourth image when the accidentally-delayed explosion finally kicks in for contrast - assuming the explosion is visual, which admittedly I don't recall since I haven't watched The Dark Knight in a long while.
