You get an Influence rite from the Asclepius book in the auction house. And how do you read STUMM? I have no idea how to get a film projector.
In other news, I completed my Power run via Dungeon Bypass, by which I mean I got the sun rite (all slots, but anything used is sacrificed) early, and An Incandescence (Forge-15) through the Spider Door. Just dropped everything and burned my way to Longhood.
To watch Stumm, you need to buy a projector with money. Drag one money card into the prompt and voila.
Much easier than whatever the book containing the rite is titled. That one requires Aramaic, and only the good Doctor can teach you that.

Hope you have fun! I certainly did, though time really flies by fast once you get engrossed in it.
Anyone got a tip on how do I progress on Enlightenment? I'm stuck on Mark 3 and have no idea how to get it higher...right now I'm just exploring as much as possible, trying to get new books and tools.
Also man learning Deep Mandic or Vek is going to take a while isn't it?

Give me cute or give me...something?You can get tutorship from high-level summons, so try some Forge. Vek comes from the final door in the Mansus.
After Mark 3, you progress the Enlightenment by feeding your "unusual cravings" that appear with the timeline passing.

^ Ah, thanks. Guess it's time to find out what I need to pass through Peacock door then, and find out what type of prisoner I need to feed my cravings.
Give me cute or give me...something?The type (of "captured by Grail" vs "captured by force") doesn't matter, nor what the prisoner was before.
Indeed - all that matters is that the prisoner has a delicious, edible brain.
Dang, a cop start is just not fun. Thematics have very interesting potential, but the job simply takes too much Reason for not enough payoff.

All right, first victory! Gotta say, Enlightenment victory need so many prisoners to win...I wonder if the Temptation advancement on consuming prisoner is based on chance or it's just based on hidden counter that count how many prisoners do I have to brainfuck before I advance...

Give me cute or give me...something?Unless I'm mistaken, you advance one Mark per brain eaten and lose one Mark each time you fail to eat a brain.
Definitely doesn't carry the huge perks of the Physician start. 2 funds per Work, forever, with no juggling requirements.
With the cop start, I just take the extra Reason and extra Health, build up a bit, and then quit copping and get a real job. Treat it as Aspirant+.

First game down!
I died because I had no money.
Hopefully my next game will turn out better, since I have at least an inkling of what to do.
A little hint: see how the description card for that menial job has an "Annoyance" tag? Your friends in the cult can help with those.
^^^ Ah, no wonder. That's quite annoying, given how easy Power path is (just 1 cash per mark). And yeah, I love Physician start because of job with no timer.

Give me cute or give me...something?Well with trapped hirelings, it also works out to 1 cash/mark, just with a few extra steps. A bit more annoying, but not *too* hard.
^ Unless you're too busy with expeditions and such. Or needing to use Talk slots for other jobs. Or both.

Give me cute or give me...something?Failed another game again for the same reason this morning (health issues), but on the third try I appear to be doing better. I've kept my job, established my cult, and am slowly building up more knowledge and attempting to recruit more people to the Mirror of Glory. I'm also being more careful with my health.
Health issue can be fixed if you know how. But yeah it's easy to screw it up because you forget about the affliction and keep Dreaming about other things.
Generally it's best to get at least 3 health just in case.
Give me cute or give me...something?Well right now I can't stop succumbing to despair. No matter how well I'm doing I keep grabbing enough Dread.
On the upside I did succeed in an expedition in the form of a break-in that got me a good bit of money and multiple books.
Paint stuff (especially if you have Restlessness on the table) and dream Winter Door to Orchard. Hell if you have spare work time, you can grab Restlessness from the Door and turn it to Contentment by painting with Passion.
I've barely been able to really dream anything, though. I haven't gotten anywhere near the Mansus, think. Just the starting lores. But I'm also trying to keep my job while also painting. Painting a good picture takes a long time and otherwise I don't know if a regular old painting will be finished in time.
Ahh, doing the Grover and Grover stuff? Yeah that makes things hard.
Try the Physician background, they have very easy time with the finances.
I can imagine. What do you have to do to be a physician? Passion gives painting, Reason gives clerical work, and Health is manual labor.
Oh wait, background. But can you do it from the first aspirant?

^ Only 8? Huh, I sacrificed one to Poppy, then again since he was on a timer due to being...Erratic? Will probably lose him eventually. Also just realized you mean Hireling...sorry.
But yeah, the Heart job you only get Peculiar Rumor if you fail...I wonder what will you get if you explore that after getting all the cult members, tho.
