I don't see how the picture is illustrating anything... maybe it's supposed to show the laser isn't causing much destruction, but with a still, that's not obvious. It certainly doesn't cover the "power is alluded to but not used" variant of the trope, which is confusing.
I don't have a replacement; I don't think it's going to be easy to illustrate. But I'm for a pull until something better can be found.
