Spoiler: Nightmare Fuel.The Princess And The Frog

I think the new image for the nightmare fuel for the Pat F page is a bit too spoiler-loaded with Facilier's death as the image. It spoils the movie a bit too much for ones who haven't seen it. I think could we replace it with something that doesn't give anything away? Like the image of fading to black with his skull at the end off is song or contacting his shadow demons. Please? I don't want to spoil the film for those who haven't seen it.

It would take someone having seen the movie already to know that that is Facilier's death scene. To someone who hasn't already seen the movie and doesn't know the context, it just looks like some dude lying on his belly.

Don't think this is a real spoiler, and vote for keeping current.

So am I still free to replace the image if I'd like?

No, not if there's consensus to keep the current.

Most decisions in IP are made based on the number of people voting to make a change, either by posts or votes in a crowner. If more people vote to keep the pic that's on the page now, it'll stay in place.

I see. Unfortunately, I'm not so good with rallying votes. And they already added the new pic in November. I guess I'll leave it at that for now. On the other hand is there away of adding it without votes or image discussions? Just to get an admin's approval?

The current is alright but if it needs to be replaced I would pick 1:2. 1:1 is a bit too dark

Thanks for the support. I think I'll insert that one—with the shadow demons. I think that's more fitting than Facilier's defeat. I think I'll add it. Can I replace it without worry? Is that ok with you admins? Thank you.

I just replaced the image with the one with the Shadow Demons. Thanks for your support. Please tell me . I hope I did this discussion board properly. Thank you all. Just one thing that worries me, I won't get blocked for this will i? Editing on tropes is my favorite thing to do.

Whoa, that was very premature.

Image Pickin' discussions tend to run longer than a few hours (like this one barely did) and to need more input from more users. Also your edit reason of allegedly having gotten "a few" other tropers agreeing to the image change isn't correct, as only one (tentatively, it appears) did.

I'm truly sorry. I just got a bit too over-eager and way ahead of myself. I really need to learn more about this image discussion thing. I'm completely new to it. And it's rather complicated. Anyway, should I revert my edits to the original image or leave it like it is right now?

Previous thread. The old image being a spoiler was brought up, but the crowner spoketh.

There has to be clear consensus in the thread to swap the image (it depends, but 5-7 yays is a good benchmark) before you can change it. If there's dissent or consensus is foggy, it can go to a crowner (sort of like a poll), like in the linked thread above. Either way, there has to be solid thread consensus (to swap, leave, pull, etc.) before the image can be changed.

I've gone ahead and reverted the image. That said, I'm not convinced either suggestion is particularly scarier than current.

If it is spoilerly, we can maybe switch to the other suggestion brought up in the other thread:
