Ara shakes Miranda's hand with a smile. "Nice to meet you Miranda! I uh, already said my name so I guess I don't have to repeat it, ehe." She trails off into an awkward chuckle.

Daiki was a bit taken aback by what appeared to be curiosity of his weird new "skin condition" after handling that Broach. He hoped it was not a sign that she and this weird old woman were working on a plan together. Or that they knew each other well enough to do so. Although he never told anyone, this young man thought very low of the strange old hermit. He knew this was a small town and people loved to gossip when there isn't much nightlife, but something told him there was a bit more to be scared of with her. Still, if it was the only way.

The young student turned up his head when Rina asked him to ride with her to the antique shop. "Oh, um...sure. We should go and do that very quickly. It is actually in the residential district. Don't worry, my stepmom just expects me to study now. Let's go!"

The two head out on the bike together. For a long ride it certainly didn't feel that way. Rina had a bizarre feeling all throughout the ride. A lightness, but not a numb feeling inside. But it wasn't quite joy either. It as if the broach was making her body lighter and it felt like it was almost keeping them safe. If she had looked into her coat pocket she would notice it was glowing. It kept glowing, and in fact was getting brighter and brighter the closer and closer they got to the antique shop.

Somewhere between thirty and forty minutes later they ended up in the forested area surrounding the antique shop. It was a bit out there. In an area of the forest at the end of a winding dirt road lies a smaller wooded shack. It may have been an average and even sunny day, but as one got closer and closer to the store the trees seemed to get closer and closer to the ground. Enough to give them a comfortable shade, but it leaves it rather dim. There was a couple of weird objects just outside there. A large globe about the size of a human. Not of the Earth though. A few continents that nobody knew of, with green land and small dots of gold paint. They head through the door and push aside the beads on the curtains. As they both took in the sights of this rather normal looking store an older woman comes by.

"Ah! Daiki how are the parents? Oh, who is this? How nice! A new customer! What is your name dear?" The older, gray haired woman asked R Ina as she extended her hand.

After the greetings had been finished the club seemed to go well. The studying and talking of various figures made the hour they had go by pretty fast. Not so much awkwardness passed between the new club members. Nobody seemed to want to bring up Ara's last name after she seemed to be a bit embarrassed by it. Following that time that passed the four students ended their club at the appropriate time. Finding themselves headed out towards the buses.

However, the buses seemed to be running a little late. So it seemed best that they walked, at least a little bit of the way home. Eireen and Maia found themselves splitting off from the other two however, as they both realized they had left something in the club room. Finding themselves alone as they walked neither realized something rather bizarre was about to happen.

Suddenly, just as they got out of sight of the school, a human-sized green creature with long yellow claws came charging at Miranda!

After a fun day of hitting each other with wooden swords the group of five found themselves getting along fine. Or at least, as much so as relative strangers could get along in High School before they knew each other. Their bonds were enough that it wasn't quite a surprise when after some exhaustion most of them found themselves chuckling slightly when their "practice" was over. Until someone finally spoke up.

"Whoo! I hope I'm not too exhausted for tonight's game." Kyle joked as he sat down in his chair. Looking at all the rest of his new clubmates for a response. But Sarah just rolled her eyes. Not looking for a fight right now he turned to Tamara. Noticing the time and how close they all were to either needing to go home, or needing to get ready for something else he decided to add something.

"So uh...I like what you guys having going on here. Anyone wanna come to the football game tonight? See what the schools got going on, maybe meet some new people? I promise it will be fun!"

Miranda, as she was wont to do, walked in silence. It was nice, just walking in the afternoon fall air.

Then it wasn't, with something out of a dark fantasy novel charging straight at her. "Run!" She yelled, trying to figure out how the hell to keep it away from her friend and not die in the process. She'd done judo and karate for twelve years now.

That doesn't help when you have some sort of abomination charging you. Could she even do anything to it? Would the claws be poisoned? She had no way of knowing. It could even just have an aura of anti-life around it.

So she did the smart thing. Hoping it would continue to follow her and not Ara she booked it.

Well, she'd always harbored suspicions that Daiki wasn't just making stories up. That seemed to confirm it.

Rina gives the woman's hand a light shake, still thinking about the bizarre feeling she had throughout the ride. I felt... almost powerful. Like something was helping me.

She jolts back to reality, making eye contact with the woman and smiling. "Hello ma'am, my name is Rina." She gives a small bow, always better to be polite. "Daiki and I were wondering if you could help us learn about, this." Rina draws a hand inside her pocket and brings out the Broach, but drops it in surprise when she sees it glowing!

First Floor, 10B, Medieval Clubroom

Tamara gave a thumbs up, panting a bit from all the swordfighting "Count me in." She looked over to Tatyana "You're coming as well, right~?" As she said that, she looked over to the others, giving a disarming smile, just as Kyle she didn't want any fight - any real one anyway.

Ara followed along behind Miranda. She hadn't really gotten a read on the other girl during club activities. Did.. Miranda like her? Ara wasn't sure. Oh god what if she didn't..

Ara's reverie is broken by the appearance of the green creature. "Holy shit!" She panics for a moment, before looking around for things to smack it away with.

In a second the old woman's emotions changed. It appeared at first she wanted to sell these two kids some strange object. But the glow had brought out a huge sense of wonder in her. As she stood staring at the mythical object, her eyes were growing wider by the second. When she saw the young woman drop it, Elizabeth quickly picked it up off the floor.

Daiki broke the silence by taking off his gloves and declaring, "M'am, I believe this thing did THIS to me!" the skin over his hands not only dark green, but now with sharp yellow claws beginning to form at the tips of his nails!

Mrs. Walker quickly answered the teen's concerns with this, "Oh my dear, you'll need to get the looked at right away! It actually can't be fixed unless you drink this potion I have under my counter."

She pulled up a beaker of a strange pink liquid from under the counter. Quickly child, it should help you very well.

Great! Daiki said as he begun to drink from the beaker. This led the old woman to turn around with a curious look on her face towards the girl.

Elizabeth gazed at Rina with the broach in safely tucked in the old woman's hands. "I believe this Broach belongs to you dear. I could teach you how to use it if you like.

Her best friend and one of the actual players of the school team had asked her to join them. Too watch a game, tonight! Tatyana had wondered if she some pleasant dream she was having. As least as pleasant as she could imagine this High School being. She grinned from ear to ear after Tamara had asked if she would go.

"Sure...that sounds awes...that sounds cool" she stopped herself from appearing too excited at last second. "Looking forward to it." So what do you say we prepare for it, I mean uh...get snacks and everything?" Tatyana asked, rather obviously looking at Tamara and seeming to motion her. In actuality she was covering for asking her mother to not pick her up since she didn't have her own car and was expecting to leave right after club.

Ara and Miranda kept running, trying to get away as fast as they could.

Looking around Ara had managed to find a large tree branch on the ground as they continued running. If she could swing it fast enough maybe she could save the other girl! Would it actually work? Should she let the other girl get hurt and run? Perhaps she would run as well and they could get some cops? Would she even have a chance to do so though!?

As the two continued running Miranda made an observation, it only had this claw on it's right hand! Maybe if she dodged it she could actually manage to dodge it and disable this thing! At least for a second...

What would they do?

Like hell she was going to run away alone. Her conscience would never leave her alone if something happened to Miranda, so Ara grabbed the tree branch and swung it at the creature in a wide arc. Ara wasn't exactly an expert in tree branch wielding though, so even if it hit it would probably only succeed in distracting the creature and knocking it back.

... Well, Ara was fighting. Okay. She couldn't just run, then. Whatever it was - well, it only had one claw.

Maybe the both of them stood a chance. Split second decision. It was still charging at her. She turned, sliding to a stop. Waiting for it to attack. It certainly seemed to want to. As it rushed at her she attempted to duck under its claw and slam her shoulder under its arm, hopefully - between that and the tree branch - disbalancing it enough for her to get behind it, grab its right arm just above the wrist with her left hand and slam her other forearm into its arm just above the elbow, intending to either dislocate the elbow or put it into a submission hold. Either worked, really, as long as it couldn't use its claw.

First Floor, 10B, Medieval Clubroom

Tamara giggled silently as Tatyana had to hold herself back like this, grinning quite a bit as well, seeing what she meant, Tamara gave a nod "Yeah, that sounds good, where should we all meet before the game then?" Tamara looked around to the others

Rina stares back at the old woman, eyes filled with wonder.

"I would like that... very much. Please, teach me how to use the broach."

She takes a moment to collect her thoughts before continuing. "How do you know the broach is mine? And how did it do that to Daiki?" She turns to look at Daiki and the now empty beaker, then back to Elizabeth.
