Mad Max series

It's clearly gonna have a lot of effort and talent out into it, so I'm definitely confident in it.

Yeah, that's always going to be a problem with this sort of prequel. You're either going to have a serious Downer Ending, or you are going to change it in such a way that serves to undermine the start of the original movie.

I kinda love that the trailer reminds of me of Fist Of The Northstar.

In particular, it reminds me to the game Fist Of The Northstar Lost Paradise.

So we went to Fot N being inspired by Mad Max, but taking it up to 11, to Mad Max reaching that same level of crazy.

Since Furiosa here is so young, that makes me think they'll end it with her in Immortan Joe's service with the event of Fury Road still very far off as is.

Looks like Dementus' biker horde is set up as the fall guys for this movie so we have something to build a happy ending over. So... is Immortan Joe going to be the good guy now, or what?

Wonder what kind of other characters grace us with their presence. While Fury Road didn't have the deepest story, be interesting to see how this keeps with that while also maybe saying a bit more too.

No one watches this series for the deep storytelling, though.

Yeah. I got that with how much of a spectacle Fury Road was and how that's clearly not what everyone was praising about it too.

Well, we're probably going to see Furiosa join up with all those cool characters she was fighting in Fury Road, and this time none of them will die.

I'm thinking of how Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes was building into how Coriolanus Snow went from being the person he was to the person he became. I'm hoping Furiosa finds a similar while also unique way to do that with her too.

Okay, I gotta vocalize this. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Hemsworth looks like Thor trying to play Captain Hook.

More like Chris Hemsworth getting the feel on how to act like a pro wrestler since the Hulkster biopic starring him may be in Development Hell.

Chris Hemsworth definitely knows the right tone for roles when it comes to certain movies. He's not afraid to look silly if the occasion calls for it. Fascinated to see how his character plays into Furiosa's arc certainly.

Looks fantastic. Again, excited for it. Excited to do a catch-up like I did before too even though only Fury Road will really connect with this.

Anya Taylor-Joy sounds just like Charlize Theron. It's uncanny.

Also, at first thought that was Sasha Calle as her mother. It's actually Charlee Fraser from Anyone but You.

Man Who Sold the World is an... interesting musical choice for the trailer.

We’ve got a new trailer for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Verdict: Not mediocre: "Whatever you have to do, however long it takes, promise you will find your way home."

What a pussyfooting verdict. Is it decent? Okay? Good? What the hell does "not mediocre" even mean? That just sounds like you think it's mediocre, but don't want to say it outright.

This trailer is very "Whoa! A female action hero! Isn't that the coolest idea? This is Mad Max, but with a woman"

I guess they couldn't call it Mad Maxine? No? Oh well.

I always knew Anya Taylor-Joy had range, but she sounds and looks almost unrecognisable in the trailer. Something tells me that, regardless of the quality of the film (though it does look pretty good, it's hard to tell at this point), she'll give a fantastic performance.

Visually and action-wise, sure. Storywise remains to be seen. I'm not sure that Furiosa's backstory is really all that interesting.

She looks like a young Charlize Theron. Again, it's uncanny. Also, just realized I pretty much repeated my prior post while typing this and didn't even realize it. Haha.

Much like Timothée Chalamet, she's on the verge of having two big hit films with WB just months apart from each other now and I'm definitely all for that (and it's funny how with Dune: Part Two, one of the movies is the same for both of them too haha). Just based on this trailer, she immediately deserves an acting nomination and God I hope she gets one.

Well Dune was a small role… but I do imagine this would be good for her career.
