• Codename: Wallflower
• Real Name: Caleb (Cal) Holme
• Age: 20
• Gender: Male
• Description:
  • Human: Cal is fairly tall, almost reaching six feet and very skinny. Even in this form, his skin and hair are a pale green and his eyes cherry blossom pink. His scruffy hair turns to a grassy texture near the edge. His body is littered with a variety of scars, most notably an arc running across the left of his face. He generally wears pretty normal civilian clothes but almost always a hood, trying to cover up his abnormal colour.
  • Plant: In this form his skin turns wooden, his hair to grass and vines, and plants start sprouting out of his scars. His body also bulks up - he isn't any taller but he has a more muscular build. It can vary from time to time, sometimes including gnarled interlocking roots and sometimes sprouting colourful flowers.
• Enhancement: Floral transformation. When his enhancement kicked in, his body changed into a strange mix of animal and plant. Psychologically, this feels more comfortable and may be his 'true' form, although the mental switch allows him to take a much-more-human visage.
  • Plant anatomy: His wooden form is slightly more durable and can heal much faster than a normal human. Like this, he can also absorb plant matter in order to heal. As would be expected from a plant, he's resistant to electrical attacks but more vulnerable to fire, and also seems immune to most pathogens.
  • Plant nutrition: He can photosynthesize and take in other plant matter and absorb nutrition from this instead of eating and drinking.
  • Plant control: He's capable of controlling plants. He can do this from a distance but can greatly improve his range by extending roots or vines towards them. The most obvious aspect of this is making plants grow much faster in a direction of his choosing but given time he can also control genetics, cultivating specific species and even breeding new ones - his most useful success in this is a bioluminescent flower.
  • Regrowth: Theoretically powerful but very impractical. Taking control of an existing tree, he can grow an entirely new body and transfer his consciousness into it once complete. He can even do this remotely, acting as an odd method of transport. However, such bodies take weeks or months (depending on distance) to grow, he's more vulnerable while growing one and his old body immediately breaks down on transfer of conciousness.
• Personality: Cal was always silent, preferring to just stay on the sidelines and observe rather than making an impact, but he has a definite warm side if you can get to know him. After the attack he became much more withdrawn and seems to have developed a cynical loathing for mankind. However, if you can somehow get him to trust you he'll eventually grow more friendly. Despite his misgivings, he still acts as force of good, figuring he may as well do what he can to clean up the world.
• Background: Cal grew up a pretty normal kid, if shy and antisocial. His parents were mostly absent and few people around him knew anything about him but he had a small circle of close friends and was content enough. Despite his efforts to stay out of trouble, it ultimately came to him. One night, he and his boyfriend were the victims of a violent attack; his boyfriend died and he was left for dead. As he was bleeding out, his enhancement activated and saved his life. Only weeks later did he wake up, now in floral form; discovering what had happened, he withdrew from society, only few even discovering he was still alive. In the year since he has drifted throughout the world. Although still not healed, his powers have given him some purpose and he's become an unorthodox sort of hero.

I do like the character, but shortly before I looked at it I had come to the conclusion that I can't accept anymore characters right now, and sign ups are temporarily closed.

That's not to say Cal won't be used ever, but right at the moment I can't accept him yet. Sorry.
