Merging the Synopsis and Recap Namespaces

(This was brought up in Ask The Tropers here.)

The Synopsis/ namespace is not saliently different from the Recap/ namespace. It was decided via crowner in this thread that we should "merge Synopsis and Recap into a single namespace." Problem: there are over 200 pages still in the Synopsis/ namespace.

If you're wondering what the "difference" used to be, it was "synopsis for the whole work" and "synopsis for specific parts of the work."

You may be wondering how a merge could work. Well, a synopsis of the whole work could go under the head page for the Recap/ subpages, and if there aren't any Recap/ pages, then the whole synopsis could just go there in the one Recap/ page.

Note that listing a tropes list for the synopsis of the whole work would be redundant with the works page's tropes list. As stated here, tropes lists can be listed for individual parts of a series, so we don't have to undo that work. We may need to revise the content from Synopsis/, especially if it's too specific or detailed.

I just moved over all the Synopsis pages that start with A, except Arifureta Shokugyoude Sekai Saikyou and Attitude Era which I just sent to the cutlist. There's a problem though—there aren't Recap pages for films, so some of these pages are left non-indexed until somebody makes them.

The Synopsis namespace is being used to dump some overly long Recap descriptions. These include:

• Cold Case S 7 E 4 Soul
• Cold Case S 7 E 9 Forensics
• Cold Case S 7 E 21 Almost Paradise
• Ed Eddn Eddy S 3 E 26 An Ed Is Born

Recap.A Game Of Thrones was created by the Merge, but it's not holding all of Synopsis.AGameOfThrones (Web Archive Link).

Synopsis.LOONA is a thing, but Recap.LOONA is a much shorter, un-indexed thing?

What are we doing about Main.Synopsis?

BUMP, since all Synopsis pages are now on the Cutlist, with the Main page and Game Of Thrones issues being the last issues.

Should anything be done with Main.Synopsis?

I've unlocked it.

Dewicked Main.Synopsis. They were basically all just using the page to define the word.

Um, are you sure that all these links had to go?

- Well, here's a list, just in-case anyone wants to revert any of them:

• FanficRecs.Bridget Jones: All the wicks were used to start the Synopsis sections for each fic.
• NeverTrustATrailer.Western Animation:
  As the show becomes more continuity-driven and less episodic, the official summaries shifted from straight-forward synopses to short, single sentences

Then there's Recap.The Iron Giant and Recap.Enders Game where the starting sentence was basically:

This page is a Synopsis for [This Work].

Here is a dead thread about a topic that has long since concluded, as a quick check reveals no more pages left in the Synopsis/ namespace. Hollering for a long-overdue lock and morgue.
