Slow update. But the anime domain site is officially registered in Tokyo.
I'm not surprised. P3 got its movies and P4 got an anime. They were bound to adapt P5. I just wish they would extend that adaptation love to some of the main SMT titles. As far as I know, we only ever got that one OVA of dubious quality. Even then, it didn't follow any of the games.

Devil Survivor 2 got a hilariously terrible 13 episode anime.
I wouldn’t trust any anime company to do the other SMT games, none of them could ever do it right. P3/4 only came out semi tolerable cause of it structure and slice of life elements.
Just imagine how badly the companies would screw up a 1920s Japan period piece that is Devil Summoner Raidou 1/2.
I'm sure most studios could adapt it well if given the right resources. The real issue is most Production Committees in the modern era won't green light anime to go beyond 2 cours.

"Ren Amamiya" doesn't sound as good as "Akira Kurusu." I'm less than happy about this development.
That having been said: I love the Persona 4 anime to bits and pieces and I'm really looking forward to this.

Ren Amamiya sounds 11x better than Akira Kurusu and it rhymes with Mama Mia so it's easy to remember. And I also love-love-loved the Persona 4 anime and I'm not watching any promos for this because I'll get too excited and still have to wait.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

April 7 is when the first episode is out.
Hopefully it's going to get 24 episodes and not 12, but the latter is more likely.

it's incredibly popular, and Persona 4 got more than 12. I can't picture them shortchanging 5 like that.
