Jaroline/Nepbike-Outside City Hall

From Bam to Truck

Jaroline recapped. She had her wrist crushed, lost her knife, was punched, stabbed, is bleeding, a bit sore, and Nep had her paint chipped and scratched, so she needs to get that fixed before they preformed.

"Geez... How can things get worse?"

"Jaroline, why?"

Then a truck started to come down the road towards them.

"Jaroline, why would you ask that?"

"Because I make a living out of tempting fate?"

Jaroline resigned herself to whatever fate she has, and got back on Nepbike.

Coco Adel - City Hall Eleventh Floor

"We can handle the clowns, you just focus on staying safe, alright? Lovely," Coco said to the so-called Victoria Dunton. She pulled out the empty magazine she had removed from her gun earlier, along with a box of ammo for it. "And here I was hoping it would be a while before I had to open this...." She popped open the steel case, holding it in an iron grip alongside the magazine with a single hand, and used her other hand to start loading bullets into the magazine.

"You'll want to steer clear if you want to stay in one piece. I'm going to be taking the fight to the clowns, and Beth here has volunteered her services as well due to her... skills. It would be quite the travesty to let you scar that pretty face of yours following us, so why don't you make sure people stay calm and safe? Think you can do that, Victoria?"

Her magazine now loaded, she gracefully shoved it back into her belt, disappearing in the process, and removed her trusty handbag once more. "Now then, let's go down, shall we?"

East of Railroad Tracks, Tira and Garrus

The gnome would simply watch Garrus as he spoke, not making any comment.

The shovel seemed to be rather ordinary, if a bit dusty. Bits of dry dirt crusted the spade.

If and when the gnome was put down, it would not make any attempt to run, but would simply stay still.

City Hall Building, Stairwell, Eleventh Floor

“I don’t recall seeing many people around who would need reassurances,” Victoria replied. “Do you suppose you could tell me where to find such people?”

If and when Coco and Yuuka decided to head down to the ground floor, they would find it in largely the same condition as it was before. Outside of the stairwell, the fighting and explosions from the Clown truck were much more audible. For the most part, the fighting between Johnny Bravo and the Toad-Clown would not be visible until people exited on the east side of the building, unless the ground floor’s windows were wide enough for one to get a sufficient angle northward.

Tira (Near Army Base)-Not your soldier

Tira's face shifted as her angrier half took control.

Let's get something straight right the fuck now. I'm not a soldier under your command, I'm not doing this because you're ordering me to. I'm only helping you because I feel like it, because I want to, because I enjoy seeing these things in pain. Don't forget that.

With that said, she put the thing on the ground, and then pointed her gun at its back in case it tried to make a move.

Coco Adel - City Hall Ground Floor

"Anywhere that you can find shelter, that's where," Coco said to Victoria. "Nearby schools, churches, gyms - anywhere that can hold people hiding out from the clowns."

That said, she started looking for the closest clown-related event she could see.

City Hall Building + Nearby City Hall

“Pf-Really?” said Victoria, “Do you truly expect someone so deprived of the unearthly power common to your kind to carve through the untold masses of Clownhood? But no matter, I shall find a way on my own, like I have always done.”

Miss Dunton would follow Coco (and Yuuka) down to the ground level.

The nearest sign of Clowns seemed to be north down the street outside the east exit, where Johnny Bravo seemed to be wrestling with the wild screaming Toad-Clown.

Miss Dunton would also begin to exit out this direction, before peeking at the mayhem north.

“Seems goats-for-brains is doing… whatever he’s doing.” There was a slight openness and curve to her lips as she briefly observed the fight. “Can’t quite remember the other one,” she said, referring to Jaroline.

As she said this, however, north down the street, the Clown-Truck would turn in, just as Jaroline began to mount her bike. The Clown-shield was just barely intact due to the heavy fire from before. It would then attempt to drive through Jaroline and Nepbike, avoiding crashing into the buildings along the side of the road.

“YAAAAHOOOOOO!!!” the Toad-Clown screamed.

After unleashing its latest combo upon Johnny Bravo, the Toad-Clown would leap bag and then begin making a run for the truck. If uninterrupted, it would attempt to leap into the front of the truck just before the truck could run into it.

“Well,” said Victoria, “I should be off.”

If not interrupted, Victoria would lift up her dress/gown and run across the street before any potential fire could come from the truck.

Across Railroad Tracks, Garrus and Tira

After some time, the gnome would lower its arms and tilt its head a bit. If not interrupted, it would then attempt to sit on the ground. As it waited for its interrogation, the gnome would then attempt to draw the letters “AMA” into the ground, in such a way that they would be facing Garrus.

The Abrams would also begin making its way into the South Central Residential district.

Space Girl

"Tch." Either the gnome was some sort of illusion - it shattered like glass - or it simply died in an unusual way. "I'd be careful with approaching these collaborants. They may not explode, but they're an unknown all the same."

At least the accursed things were retreating. "Give a holler if you find trouble." Monica called out to Shalltear, opting to remain with the soldier team for now.

Space Bug

There was no time to waste. Of course, Swarmlord didn't really hold interest in saving anyone, but acquiring some biomass could go a long way in preserving the others. It was a very Tyranid approach, but then again few species eat their own young in the name of progress.

Combat practice was prudent, too. The creature began prowling towards the house it originally had its designs on, though not without sending one Ripper inside first to scout out the situation and two more to where the fighting seemed to be taking place now.

Insert DBZA reference

"Ah..."

A truck was proceeding towards Jaroline and Nep at a high speed.

"Let's go!" Nepbike paniked

"Love to, Wrist is broken."

"What!?"

"Relax, I'll use my feet again."

"Well, don't waste time talking then!"

Jaroline got her feet on the handlebar, and accelerated, trying to swerve past the Truck

Garrus: Near Army Base

Garrus explained to Tira with a neutral tone, "Hey, I'm just saying that you did a fine job of detaining him. Personally why you did it is none of my business. We all have our reasons." She didn't have to be the officer on duty. Pretty sure the chief wouldn't be happy to receive a report of "Civilian killed because I let her and the voice that takes over sometimes follow along" tomorrow. He looked down at the gnome. AMA? Obviously a phrase for something but what? "Ok, start talking. What's AMA stand for?" asked Garrus sharply. Just like shaking down for info back on Omega.

Southwest District, Swarmlord (and Clark)

The single Ripper had no difficulties entering the building right across the street. Once inside, it would see a Clown standing on a couch in what appeared to be a living room area. It held its assault rifle pointed out of a broken window on the north face of the house.

When the Clown heard the Ripper scampering in, it would turn around, loading its next magazine clip, and begin firing away at the creature. When it unloaded its clip, it would jump off the couch and attempt to run towards what appeared to be the house’s kitchen area.

The other two Rippers would eventually come across a squad of soldiers gathered around a building that looked as though it had been blasted open from the inside. The wall just outside the blasted-open part seemed to have a few stray bullet holes. Bits of burnt rubber lay strewn in the crumbled bricks and ashes, along with a blackened and broken rocket launcher. The body of a dead man lay inside the building, with several bruises and cuts. It looked as though something had hit him in the side of the head.

One of the soldiers happened to glance over in the creatures’ direction, “Uh, Pete?”

The soldier right next to him turned. “Yeah? Oh.”

“What do you think they are?”

“Well they ain’t Clowns, that’s what.”

Although the unnamed soldier held its weapon pointed at the Rippers, the group otherwise ignored them. One of the soldiers seemed to have been injured, likely from being too close to the explosion. Another seemed to be calling for help.

A few of the houses further north looked as though they had been hit by the dead Clown’s rocket launcher.

Some of the fences to the southwest looked as though they had collapsed over, possibly due to one of the capsules plunging through it in its descent.

Across Railroad Tracks, Garrus and Tira

The gnome rolled its eyes around with a somehow lifeless/blank expression on his face.

The sitting gnome would then attempt to carry out the long and arduous task of writing “Ask Me Anything” in the ground, shifting itself over when necessary.

Coco Adel - Nearby City Hall Clown Carnival of Carnage

"So not going to say I told you so," Coco muttered as Victoria ran off to safety. Who could have possibly predicted that being near tulpas in the middle of a clown invasion was like having a disaster magnet strapped to your forehead?

"Hey there, hairgel," she said, approaching Johnny, idea forming in her mind. The town's most-famous clown hunter was no doubt quick-witted and adaptable. "That truck's bad news for this city but I just had the most wonderful idea on how to take it down. Thanks for helping with it, but you better get ready."

Without another word, she picked up Johnny by the waist, and then with a mighty heave threw him up and at the incoming Clown Truck.

TWOING

Well now, wasn't this a surprise. A beautiful lady that happened to be a mayor had gotten rather into his personal space bubble, even going so far as to grab his rock-hard waist. This was so much better than being grabbed by that stupid honky and her touch was just so nice... well, everything prior to the sudden throw was pretty great actually.

So drunk at the fact that a member of the female species had actually deigned to touch him in such an intimate way without violence (other than the throw) that he wasn't all that perturbed at becoming a human missile. If anything, he was so psyched up by the action that he received an adrenaline boost squeezed out even more potential from his Adonis-like body, the arm clutching the nunchaku for added mass before smashing a fist forwards at the incoming windshield. "OH MAMA!"

Bethany's Day Outside of City Hall
Faced with insur-clown-table odds, Bethany looked towards the ins-truck-ment of her des-truck-tion, eyes wide and mouth firmly stuck in a fr-clow-n. She had half a mind to worry about whether or not this lady (though however odd...) would be safe, half a mind to try and do something to the truck, a non-existent third half of her mind out to just try and leave.

All three trains of thought got stuck before they left the station, however. She was simply unwilling to believe that Creeper Bravo was now the heroic human cannonball they all needed.

With said Bravo still in flight, she looked to Coco and said "Was that really a good idea?"

Nearby City Hall

As much as the truck tried to adjust its course to meet Jaroline and Nepbike head on, the duo had no problems swerving out of the way. From this angle, Jaroline would better be able to see numerous open hatches along the side of the truck, like the battery of a ship. Through one of the side-ports, she would see a white-bearded gnome in a black exoskeleton, holding what appeared to be a smartphone. Although Jaroline’s awkward position might prevent her from seeing more, she might also see numerous weapons lying on the truck’s floor, a somewhat unremarkable Clown, and another gnome.

The Toad-Clown did not seem to have much difficulty landing on the truck’s hood, upon which it uttered, “I WIN!”

But this victory would be extremely short-lived. Only seconds later, as the Toad-Clown began to climb up, Johnny Bravo would come soaring towards it.

The Clown-Truck’s shield, weakened though it was, may or may not have permitted Johnny Bravo to pass through it on his own, but as the buff man’s fist plunged into it, the shield seemed to shatter, and then dissipate.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”

Thanks to where the Toad-Clown was positioned, Johnny Bravo would slam right into it, and the two of them would crash straight through the windshield. Shards of glass would tear through the Clown’s hard but rubbery exterior, and more of its sugary dust would spill out onto the floor inside the truck.

Thanks to the momentum from Coco’s throw, Johnny Bravo’s fist would plunge into the driver’s seat, and then puncture into the wall immediately behind it.

He might also receive a bit of a shock from the impact, though not one of the forceful kind.

Should Johnny have removed his fist, from the hole he just created, he would see a small, well-lit compartment, with some kind of special computer equipment set up along the wall Johnny had just punched through. A single Clown sat in a seat just a bit left of the hole. The bottom half of the stunt cannon could be seen near the compartment’s ceiling.

The back half of the chamber seemed to move and rotate with the truck’s semi-trailer, though most of the floor was aligned with the front of the truck. A capsule rested near the upper center of the back wall, and about two more of these capsules were held suspended on rails which seemed to lead into the center. A single rail, to which the center capsule was connected, seemed to lead from the back wall to the bottom of the stunt cannon, and it looked as though the bottom half of this cannon could open so as to load the capsule. How this mechanism was able to shoot these capsules in such rapid succession still remained a mystery.

There also seemed to be a door on the right side of the back wall.

Should Johnny have gotten a glimpse of the wall he had punched through, he would have seen several screens which allowed the Clown to view things outside the truck. Judging by that, and judging by the fact there seemed to be a brake and an accelerator pedal near the Clown’s feet meant this Clown was the actual driver of the truck.

While pressing a few buttons on the console before it, the driver-Clown would then reach to pull out a revolver with an unusually long barrel.

“So you’ve found the man behind the curtain, I see. Think I’m gonna just let you snoop in as usual and take in all these sweet miracles? Think again!”

As the driver-Clown began to aim its heavy revolver at him, Johnny Bravo might also feel the Toad-Clown attempt to wrap Johnny’s wet shirt around his left leg.

“The memes… they’re getting away…” the Toad-Clown would mutter.

From outside, the Clown-Truck would begin to swerve a bit. A few explosive shots from the tilted exhaust cannons would shoot towards Coco, Bethany, and Victoria’s general direction, but otherwise they did not appear to be aimed with any regard to accuracy.

Once Miss Dunton was across the street, she would peek around the corner at the ensuing mayhem for a second or two, but would then run off to wherever she was planning to go.

Shalltear Bloodfallen - Vs Some Gnome With Assault Rifle

Shalltear couldn't say she was familiar with the specifics of guns. Larger was likely to be stronger but on top of technology differences she was completely unfamiliar there was always the possibility of enchanted weapons. Magic was still a thing in this 'modern world' even if it was not the norm. Because of all of this, she had to be careful of any she came across.

This meant she couldn't hesitate, she continued her charge with a fierce look of determination shooting at the corner where the gnome hid. There was a time when I didn't need to put this kind of effort against the weak. I hope Ainz-sama finds me worthy to have that power again some day. "Haaaaaa AH!" Shalltear put her body forward, lowering her front. If she did get hit her force should carry her. She grabbed the wall and pulled forward, in one smooth motion bringing her other hand into a fist putting her all to finish this in one move.

Southwest Residential, Monica and Shalltear

When Shalltear rounded the corner, the gnome turned and attempted to spray most of its bullets into her. Seeing as she was mostly undeterred, and because the magazine had run out of bullets, the gnome then attempted to throw the empty magazine at Shalltear, though ultimately these efforts seemed futile.

When the punch finally landed, the gnome’s body shattered like a vase, with multi-colored fragments falling to the ground. The gnomes limbs flailed in its death, but ultimately these too would seem to lose their life. Gradually, the flesh-like skin of the parts that hadn’t been affected would turn to stone/clay. Furthermore, the clothes the gnome wore would transform into more traditional gnome garments, before becoming the outer layer of the gnome’s shattered sculpture. The assault rifle the gnome held was largely unaffected, and the magazines that were on the gnome’s person could be found within the rubble.

The fighting within the immediate area seemed to subside, and some of the soldiers would move forth to investigate.

“No explosion, so that’s good.”

“Can’t be too sure.”

The soldiers seemed to keep their distance away from Shalltear and the rubble that had previously been a gnome.

The apparent squad leader addressed both Monica and Shalltear, “We’ll continue securing the area and looking out for any survivors. Not sure how many more of those things are around, but I think we can take care of things from here.”

"Of course it was. Though you should know, that was just half of the plan," Coco said to Bethany, reaching out to grab the girl and hold her firmly under one arm.

"I'll keep us moving, you use your plant!" she exclaimed as she crouched a bit and poured a good deal of her strength into her legs, leaping away from the current path of the clown cannons and heading closer to the vehicle in question.

Garrus stared at the ground for a minute. Oh. At least he's cooperative. Kind of sad about not needing to use the shovel. "Anything huh? We'll see about that. Close Call

After dodging the truck, Jaroline and Nep breathed. At least as much as the later can.

"Well, I think we had a full day, and your injured." Nepbike pipped up

"Well, yes, though I do wonder something..."

"What is it?"

"Why did that... Clown, I think, have a smartphone..." Jaroline tilted her head

"I don't know. We aren't in any kind of position to do anything, and It's not like-"

They stopped a bit.

"... Is that the mayor? And did she throw Johnny? And just straight up picked up a chick and lept like it was nothing?"

"... I think we're out of our league here."

"And that thing still has my knife."

Jaroline revved up with her foot once again.

"Let's go!"

"*sigh* I can't stop you."

And so they rode back to the truck.

In The Truck

Grunting and shaking his now raw hand due to how much layers of substances it had to break through, Johnny groggily came to after a few seconds of dizziness to find himself in the seat of the truck and that there was a control room behind the place, with some other less buff clown now leveling a giant gun his way. Oh, and the Toad Clown was latching onto his leg too, the disgusting thing trying to touch his manly meat yet again.

"...Okaaaaaaaay... well, I just have one thing to say to you fellas.... fun time's over." Reaching over towards the handbrake and promptly popping the thing up in one savage stroke, Johnny then twisted out of the hole's way so that the miracle maker behind the scenes would have a harder time getting a clear shot while stomping hard towards the Toad Clown's direction, aiming for the knife wound or knife itself if it was still stuck in it.

Bethany's Day Spent Doing Automotive Work
Okay, the mayor was starting to creep her out a little with how forceful she was being. Yes, she was going to move a lot faster as the world's heaviest purse, but that didn't exactly excuse her behavior!

So, while she hung alongside Coco, being carried by a woman who was probably shorter than her and trying to jam her vine into any and all sensitive parts on the undercarriage of the truck, she wondered if working at her house was going to be a good thing.

CathariSarad Since: Jan, 2014

Near City Hall

Getting closer to the truck as it was speeding towards their general direction would put Coco and Bethany out of the arc of the vehicle’s exhaust cannons, but the fact still remained that the truck was speeding towards them.

Then, just as Bethany was about to reach for the truck with her vines, it would suddenly begin to slow down as Johnny pulled the hand-brake inside.

-POW!-

The Driver-Clown would shoot at Johnny, but there would not be much angle for him to shoot. The heavy round would go straight through the air, and eventually land in some building further away, making a somewhat sizable dent.

Within the truck itself, a few thumps could be heard as several weapons could be heard tumbling towards the front side of the semi-trailer.

The Toad-Clown’s weakened and semi-cramped state would work to prevent it from moving out of the way from Johnny Bravo’s stomp, landing right in the open wound on its head.

“GYAAAAAAAH!!”

The Toad-Clown would eventually begin to push itself back up, but when it was hit, it would release the rag and the vibro-knife from its grasp. The glowing aura surrounding the Toad-Clown would also begin to fade.

“My blood… is made of liquid memes…”

Within the secret chamber, the gnome wearing the black exoskeleton would enter through the door, carrying a shotgun. Another gnome could be seen behind it with a sub-machine gun. Numerous weapons of various sorts were lying upon the floor. Furthermore, another Clown with a rocket launcher appeared to be floating up to the top of the semi-trailer.

Back outside, Bethany’s vines would be able to latch onto the truck’s underside, though its speed and the motion of the parts might work to snap the vines. However, her efforts would be largely successful. Although the truck would attempt to drive itself through Coco and Bethany before it ran out of speed, the truck would swerve wildly, before either grinding to a halt or crashing into one of the nearby buildings.

As Jaroline and Nepbike returned to the battle, the top hatch on the truck’s semi-trailer would open. The Clown with the rocket launcher would leap onto the truck’s top, but as the Clown began to move towards the front, the duo would catch the Clown’s eye. It would aim and fire as they approached.

Furthermore, Jaroline would be able to see the exo-gnome and the other gnome gathered near the door towards the front of the semi-trailer, along with their armaments. She would also catch glimpses of the secret chamber where most of the truck’s actual operations were performed.

Back inside the truck, the driver-Clown would say, “What are you two idiots standing around here for? Get out and fight!”

The driver-Clown would then attempt to aim and fire at Johnny Bravo’s relative position through the metal, while the two gnomes would then begin to proceed toward the back of the semi-trailer. Despite the truck's haphazard movements, they would largely be able to hold their balance, partly by bracing themselves onto the sides.

Ten.

The duo continued driving, only for them to make a keen observation

"... That's RPG's not for us, right?" Jaroline said, just noticing the clown on the roof of the truck

"Hey, I enjoy a good-"

It then fired

"Not that kind!"

They tried to dodge it, and were successful, but the force of the impact caused them to flip, Nepbike landing on her front wheel and sticking, Jaroline looking down.

"... Well then."

The two worked to right themselves, losing time in the process.

Near City Hall

Seeing that its attack had some degree of success, the Clown would ready another rocket, aim, and then fire at Nepbike and Jaroline again. After doing this, the Clown would continue its way towards the front of the truck, until Coco and Bethany were within sight.

When the gnomes got midway through the truck, they would stop, and seem to look up to examine the top-hatch. The gnome in the exoskeleton would then move to pick up a few grenades off the ground. The other gnome would then begin closing the numerous side-hatches that had been open, thus depriving Jaroline and Nepbike vision inside it. Some time later, assuming no one took action to the contrary, the un-armored gnome’s head would peek out through the top-hatch, after which it would climb onto the top of the roof, with its submachine gun in hand and two grenades bulging in its pants/pockets.
