City Hall, Robot Mode

"Me? No no no, I'm just on'a those totally normal transformin' robot rats that sprang up overnight," grumbled the Maximal as he grabbed a nearby mop and wedged it neatly between the doors.

"You got anythin' on ya, kid?" asked Rattrap as he grabbed a nearby bucket of water and dumped it all over the floor around his improvised barricade. "Guns? Bombs? Blasters?"

Garrus: On The Road, Downtown

As Garrus drove through Downtown, his mind raced with tactics, plans, possible attack set ups, and a long list of other such considerations. Knowing the layout of Lakeside, Garrus knew that Clowns only had five ways to get a truck into the city. If they picked the lower corner then that means that the army base should be handing it as best they could. But without intel he didn't have a clue on which road they picked to get- Is she talking to a bird?

A look into the rear-view mirror confirmed this and as she continued it became clear to Garrus that this was the scout that she sent out. He would like to say that the main reason he believed her was that he knew that some people, himself included, had some strange abilities and he didn't doubt that talking to birds was her's but.......really, that info was just too detailed to be the creation of a insane mind. "Hmmmmmmmm, right. While taking it out would be the quickest way at the moment, chasing it would have two dangerously fast vehicles firing at each other in the middle of the district. Good way to end up plowing into a house" replied Garrus to Tira's report.

With that he took a turn and started to head towards the army base. What stood out to the alien officer was the positioning and number of troops that the Clowns had. The group of four was most likely the main attack squad, though two of them being this unknown type had him question if maybe that group was acting as escort. As for the two, they only had the odd looking clowns. Maybe it was nothing but why only send out the unknowns? Something was up.

Putting all of this together Garrus detailed his battle plan, "The four attacking the front of the base needs to be taken out for sure but the two at the east are going to go unnoticed during all of this and who knows what they can do while unseen, especially since they are different from the rest. We scope them out, eliminate them, fix or remove anything they could have done, and then go help clean up the four coming from the south."

Coco Adel- Car of Unspecified Make, Model, and Year

"It seems I left something back in City Hall," stepping out of the car, Coco's eyes momentarily peeked out over the top of her sunglasses as she took a glance at Bethany and her potted plant.

"Lovely," she said, pulling her handbag out of the car with one hand and holding onto the door with another. "Couldn't have you taking all the credit, now could we? I'll need to talk to you about my windowsill afterwards."

Heels clicking on the concrete until she reached the carpet, she approached City Hall once more and went to the stairs so that she could work her way up.

Tira (Garrus's car)-Getting a little too into this

Tira's face suddenly shifted, although this would not be visible to Garrus, and just as suddenly as she had come, Gloomy was gone, replaced by a very hyper Jolly, who was actually bouncing up and down on the seat in anticipation, coming dangerously close to bashing her head into the roof.

Ohhhhhh, I'm so excited! I haven't killed anything in a while, you know, there haven't really been any clowns around town, I was getting so bored! But now I'm going to get to have some fun! I really wish clowns bleed, I was really upset when I ripped the first one I killed apart and didn't find any blood or stuff, but I guess they explode when killed sorta make up for it? Anyway, we're going to have a party today! Aren't you excited, mr....er, I actually don't know your name. I'm Tira!

Alya I Familiar Sight

It looks like the army base is being preoccupied by the Clown force, so they shouldn't be expecting assistance from them anytime soon. In addition, the pods seemed to be how the Clowns are deployed. That was not good news.

Papa, please be careful. The army and police are tied up at the moment and the Clowns are firing pods releasing other clowns. They're also heading north, so we should avoid driving there.

Switching her sight to her familiar in East Central, there was nothing of note, with the exception of there seemed to be signs of a helicopter crashing.

I could see a helicopter crashing down. Good thing it doesn't hit our home.

Suddenly, sensing urgency in her father's mind, she quickly cut off her sense with her familiars and returned to her own.

Zul I City Hall I Getting to Safety

Well, crap. Having heard what Alya said about the pods and one of them having landed near and on City Hall respectively, this place is just bound to be a combat zone pretty soon. He wouldn't have time to get back to the van and start up its engine without worrying of being spotted by the owner of the shrilling voice just across the street. And that's assuming that the road would be clear of everyone else panicking and trying to get away with their own vehicles.

It was a good thing there were others handling the Clowns here(a.k.a. the mayor and another green-haired woman whom seem just a bit too under-equipped to deal with them) but even so, it isn't safe here.

"Papa, let's stay in the City Council. Don't worry, I'll be protecting us both~" Alya reassured after returning to her own senses, recalling her familiar above of the City Hall at her side, in preparation.

Face with little choice, Zul complied and went inside in relative safety along with Alya. Far as he know, there was also one other person who said that they'll be staying put instead of going elsewhere. Now who was it...

As they did so, the young girl's familiar that was scouting in East Central, along with one more from her room, has also been commanded to make their way towards Alya's position, though it'll likely take considerable time for it to reach her given the distance involved.

Zul & Alya I City Hall

City Hall

"I don't have anything of that sort," said the still unnamed woman.

When Coco, (presumably Yuuka,) Zun, and Ayla entered City Hall, the woman turned towards them.

"Mayor!" she said, giving a slight curtsy.

As the mayor began to move towards the stairs, the woman would move as if to follow her.

Jaroline/Nepbike-Outside City Hall

"Guess we didn't need to go far, then..." Nepbike stated.

Jaroline looked towards Johnny, giving him a strange look as he flexed and whipped out his weapon.

"Nunchaku. How... fitting?"

Johnny then let out a yell.

"And if I had eardrums, there's where they'd burst. Ow." stated Nep.

"The hell? How will that do anything!?" said Jaroline while rubbing her ears

Despite the skepticism, she reached into her side cape, feeling for something, just in case.

Bethany's Day Back in City Hall
Bethany walked back into the now presumably clown-infested building, questioning whether or not this was the right life choice to be making, with sturdy plant in hand. However, she had a question.

"...Windowsill?" she asked Coco. "Why your windowsill?"

Garrus: On The Road

And he was just starting to enjoy the polite company. Garrus introduced himself with "I see you are back. Name's Garrus. Garrus Vakarian" and then looked back to the road instead of the very, very hyper human. If she is a human anyway. Maybe she's a particularly small, smooth Krogan? Every word from her mouth made that idea more and more plausible.

Exiting the Downtown area, it was now a drive down the highway instead of the chaotic city roads. He continued on with talking to her "If this is a party then I don't want to see what you consider business" and he soon made a right turn, crossing over the railroad before he reached the South Central District. After that he would return to driving in the direction of the base.

Coco Adel - City Hall

"I can't very well buy plants for my pantry, now can I?" Coco replied to Bethany. "First off it would be quite unhygienic, and then more importantly, it would appear rather gauche don't you think?"

She stomped up the stairs and nodded at the blonde woman she addressed her while everyone joined - or rejoined.

"Unless residential's not a service you provide, of course. A shame if that's the case, so rarely do you find a gardener willing to brave the Clown's killing floors," she continued. "I was thinking roses and ranunculus would accentuate my penthouse quite well, right now things are far too noticeably bare for my tastes. A consequence of recent events, no doubt, but if we allow the clowns to take our style and interior decorations away, then we allow them to take away what we live for."

The Chevy Crew, Southwest Residential

"Is that a problem?" Monica chuckled softly, driving the van. "If you say so. I'll refer to him as Mr. Skeleton Librarian from now on."

"My name's Monica. The bug in the back is The Tyrantlord of the Hive Mind, The Herald of the Great Devourer, The Destroyer of the Kha'la Empire. You can call him Swarm." The bug in question shifted a little in its place as pompous titles came along, reminding itself of the achievements that called for such names in the first place. Its memory was a little muddy, but it remembered others all too vividly. Vivid was good.

The chevy eventually reached Southwest Residential, somehow managing to avoid the party truck and ending up by a wreckage of... a drop pod? "Oh great, now they deepstrike too." Monica grumbled as the van came to a stop near another truck. A selection of characters was at the scene already: the old Crenshaw and his friend as well as some sort of pony. Don't question it, she thought, you're the one hanging out with a Tyranid.

Speaking of Tyranids, The Swarmlord shuffled out of the van's back and drew its dreaded weaponry, stretching its body to its full height before it turned and assessed the situation. Just in time, the Ripper sent south returned with its info, crawling on its master's shoulder. A truck full of weapons, two armored cars with rapid fire guns, two distinct Clowns piloting them. Priority target, if they could get the army to move from the base and into the city.

"The Ripper's back already?" Monica unholstered her pistol after turning off the van and shuffling out. There was a small "rrr" from the Swarmlord to signify "yes". "Get it to paint the picture for us, if you please." Without a sound, it set the Ripper down on the ground. The creature began digging through the dirt with its claws and teeth, slowly painting the situation in Central. "And enjoy the hunt, too."

"Krh."    That was the Swarmlord's cue to move. It approached the wreckage, blades at the ready and the step soft and quiet, passing by Crenshaw and kicking the door down - or just moving inside through the ruined walls if there was such an opportunity.

Monica, meanwhile, remained by the van, eyes set on the picture Ripper was slowly ripping out of the ground for her while occasionally looking up for signs of danger. Even with the three over there, it never paid to lose vigilance. "Where did your skeleton boss go to again?" She asked Shalltear. "Because anywhere near the city center might get ugly real fast."

North Ripper Team

Having found nothing of interest, the two Rippers began retreating from the northern part of Lakeside, beelining towards the Swarmlord. It would certainly take them a while to get there; they stuck to the directives of remaining secretive.

Ainzy - Going home

Ainz pulled out of the parking lot and headed north towards his home district. Away from the current conflict, he had to hope the fighting wouldn't extend too far north or that they would bypass his home. I hope this works out well. I've spent most of this time trying to teach her to act properly in this era while figuring that out myself as well. But I'm from the future compared to this era, it has been a lot easier for me to understand compared to her only understanding of a time when might made right.

Shalltear - Clown Hunting

Shalltear continued to frown. I don't like this, and Ainz-sama told me to follow that creature's lead yet I'm out here with this girl and apparently the plan was not to go together using strength in numbers against the enemy. What a bother it is, to use effort to accomplish my tasks., but this girl best not try my patience... "Hmph, I will not answer your question unless you address Ainz-sama as Mr. Ainz as he wishes." She looked back at the big guy who said little but had minions. She assigned many titles to this guy but he can't even speak or does he choose not to? It is nothing compared to the title of Supreme One.

Shalltear took out her gun as well, inspecting it carefully and turning off the safety. While she may not have significant skill with this weapon she has learned the basics of satiety with it so as to not risk allies while handling it. "Time is not something we have a luxury of for pictures." We should have real scouts with Message spells instead of unintelligible monsters.

Well Excuuuuse Me, Shalltear; Southwest Residential

"It's the best we've got so far. Rippers aren't meant to be scouts, but Tulpas usually have limited resources." She explained with a shrug, mentally noting that yes, Shalltear was most definitely if not infatuated with then at least worshipping the skeleton librarian. "So, I hope that Mr. Ainz" Monica rolled her eyes a little. "is not anywhere near Residential Central. That truck is packed with weaponry" Monica fished her cellphone out of her pants and chose the right number. "and people in the city hall should probably know this."

According to the Ripper's rough sketch, the truck had an assist of two armored cars, about three-four Clowns and few more unidentified creatures inside (Clown's Tulpas? That would be the day) while bristling with guns; among them Monica recognized a (presumably) RPG, an assault rifle and a HMG. Worse, it didn't seem to be much damaged; that kind of ride wouldn't just slip past without suffering damage unless it had some way to negate it.

"Know anyone with anti-armor guns on them?" She asked Shalltear while she waited for the macho man in pompadour to pick up.

Southwest Residential

As Luna dove down, the two assailants perched by the railroad tracks began to fire at her, though their distance made their shots somewhat inaccurate. On a closer inspection, however, they seemed to be smaller than the usual Clown, and they seemed to have long, tangled white beards. A few other assailants from their various positions also took a few shots at the pony in the sky, before continuing to shoot at the various armed personnel around.

As the vehicle driven by Monica went through the southwest district, a rocket from one of the adversaries by the tracks shot towards them, but ultimately missed. As she drove through, she and the people she carried with her might be able to make out the rough positions of two of the Clowns within the eastern side of the district, based on where the windows were shattered and where the gunfire came from.

There would be no response to Crenshaw or Luna's calls when they arrived, though the sound of gunfire could be heard from one of the houses nearby to the west. When the two of them and Swarmlord (and possibly Clark) went to investigate the rubble the capsule had landed in, there did not seem to be any Clowns or other strange creatures. However, a door-like structure on the capsule was wide open, revealing an empty compartment.

Northward, a few soldiers could be heard saying "Over here!" as if in response to the calls.

Tricky T’s

For what seemed like a long time, the restaurant would not suffer the ire of Clowns, though fighting from outside could still be heard within.

City Hall

Shortly after Johnny Bravo’s taunt, two windows on the twelfth floor of the City Hall building shattered. Two Clowns, dressed as Wario and Waluigi respectively, appeared within them, each armed with some sort of assault rifle.

“Hey,” said the Wario-dressed Clown, “what’s the big idea? Making fun of our jokes?!?”

“Yeah, yeah!” said the one dressed as Waluigi.

The two of them took aim and fired upon Johnny, Nepbike, and the human down below.

They did not seem to take much note of the people entering the building, nor did they turn back from the window.

Shortly after, a window on the building across the street crashed open.

The Clown that burst from it seemed to be unusually muscular in build, almost as much as Johnny Bravo or any Jojo character. The blue, open vest the Clown wore only seemed to emphasize these features.

Furthermore, the Clown had a large, white afro with large red spots dyed into it. He also seemed to be wearing a mask of Toad, and his garments also matched the somewhat infamous character. A soft, greenish aura seemed to surround him.

“YAAAH-HAAA-HOOO-HWEEEEEEE-HEEEEE!!” the Clown screamed as he recklessly dove towards Johnny Bravo.

He did not seem to be carrying any weapons on him, aside from a few grenades and bullet cartridges strapped onto his person.

Shortly after the Toad-dressed Clown jumped out, two rather short old men with white beards appeared, one with a sub-machine gun and one with an assault rifle. They seemed to hesitate to aim at the people below.

Inside City Hall, the unnamed woman simply listened as Coco and Yuuka spoke, but otherwise made no comment or expression.

During this time, the two rippers Swarmlord previously had sent north were now scampering through the west side of downtown, away from most of the commotion.

The familiar that had previously been flying over East Central would also reach downtown’s outskirts, after receiving Ayla’s command.

Near Army Base, West of Highway 151

As Garrus, Tira and Joseph moved along the highway cutting through the South Central district, they would seem to move unopposed, as several houses blocked the truck’s direct line of sight to the van (and it had other targets right before it).

Sometime after they crossed the railroad tracks, the group would see the relative disarray at the army base. Yet, in spite of the fact many of their vehicles were immobilized, the soldiers were acting quickly to secure the district south of them, and some of them were moving towards South Central District.

Despite the risk, the crew of the Abrams was working to examine and repair the damage to their vehicle, which was somehow caused by a single bullet to the front side of its tread. This was helped by the fact they had turned the machine such that its bulk was in way of most of the positions the attacks seemed to be coming from while they went about fixing it.

There did not seem to be particularly many casualties outside of the vehicles themselves. The fighting seemed to be moving away from the army base itself, and as Garrus’s van closed in, the gunfire coming from the tracks seemed to have subsided.

South Central Residential

The Clown Truck and go karts fired upon whatever vehicles lay in front of them. The truck itself continued to advance towards downtown while continuing to lob explosive shots at the cars ahead.

During this time, the Apaches would circle around until the truck was no longer protected by the house next to it. They opened fire with their chain guns. The shields would deploy and protect the truck, but with each bullet, the shield would flicker slightly dimmer and dimmer. From this angle, neither of the truck’s exhaust cannons could hope to hit it, and neither could the go kart’s weapons aim high enough to reach it.

At this point, the truck suddenly swerved around a corner, briefly colliding with a house on the north side of the street. The top hatch of the truck would briefly open, only to close again. A few of the guns that had been in the truck slid out, two assault rifles, a sniper rifle, and an RPG launcher. The white-bearded man wearing the exoskeleton quickly moved to shut the back door before anything else fell out.

The truck would continue snaking its way northward.

The go karts seemed to go off in their own direction, going west before then beginning to make their way towards the downtown area.

Northeast Residential

Ainz would return to his home without too much difficulty or resistance, and his home would be as it was before.

Johnny Bravo Chicken Race

"Sorry 'bout that, babe. Clowns just hate it when people think they're not funny, them dang honkies always bite that bait hook, line, and sinker." Peering at the yellow and purple clowns shooting fire down at them, the man reached into his hair to pull out a ringing phone that had the number of one of the few women to actually give it to him. Sadly she had that big bug following her everywhere but still, it was a lady... even though it was also a professional contact since she was an exterminator.

"Hey, babe? What's the occasion, uh-huh?" Keeping the phone lodged in his do, the man focused on the carnie jumping at the him with the patience of a hunter. Trying to get down the sense of overall timing, the bounty hunter then held both the wooden handles of the nunchaku so that the ends were pointed straight up. "Sorry if the quality of the call isn't all that good, ol' Johnny has to deal with a honkie at the moment."

Luckily for him, the sweet ride seemed to be really good at making him stick so he could concentrate on attempting to jab weapon into the thing's midsection after adroitly assuming a different pose with the lightning quick ease of long practice, body swaying to the side before twisting and throwing it to the side while the thing was still in midair and couldn't control its momentum via the principle of diverting force. A little bit of judo modified for being on a motorcycle while using nunchuks that has never been tested out before, with the intention of sending the wayward clown at the least away and at the most crashing into something nice and solid.

Jaroline/Nepbike

All the Nope

Jaroline did not know where to start.

It probably was with Wario and Waluigi bursting through the windows, and Bravo's plan actually working. At such, Jaroline found what she was looking for in her cape, a knife, but placed it back and decided to put her petal, or handlebar, to the metal, and let Johnny do what he does.

And so she started to drive, circling the area while dodging bullets from the clowns.

She didn't get that far, though, until a beefy Toad-like clown chased after them as well.

"I sure hope your as good as your attitude suggests!" Jaroline yelled to Johnny.

"It's only our lives here. And others. No pressure."

"Not helping, Nep!"

Crenshaw swore under his breath, stopping just on the edge of the destruction. He pulled up a penlight from his belt and shined it into the pod's compartment, confirming it was empty. He swore again, in such a way that can't be replicated on a PG-13 medium. "It's empty! These Clowns are firing Clowns!" He shouted at large, just for anyone in earshot to hear (though it might have only been for their benefit, considering the Clowns were already out and about).

The gunfire and the shouts got their attention. Crenshaw pointed towards the house where the guns came from. "You go that way," he said to Clark, who nodded and ran in that direction. Crenshaw took up his gun and hustled around the destroyed house, sprinting towards the soldier's shout. Better to split up when it came to a triple threat.

Zul I City Hall I Chilling with the Rat

"I don't know, is there a basement in the City Hall? And aren't you the one who suggests we strike out at the Clowns? A bit contradictory to hear you wanting to hide it out... Not that I'm complaining, of course,"

He could hear sounds of guns being fired from outside. Looks like the firefight has begun. At this point, he could only stay put until the danger has subsided. Damn it, he should've at least brought his gun with him.

At times like this, the one thing he could do is to make sure Alya remains safe while she's off to do her work. It leaves him with mixed feelings, to let her daughter to deal with the attackers while the father should've been the one to ensure her safety.

Even so, while he's still here, he'll make sure that no harm will ever come to her.

Alya I City Hall(Outside) I Assistance

From the safety within City Hall, Alya once again closed her eyes, letting her father take care of her while she's off to see what's going on.

Closing off two of her body's senses, her sight and hearing suddenly shifted from the inside of the City Hall to outside, seeing the ensuing fight that is breaking out in all its glory. A young bike rider dodging away all the incoming bullets coming towards her and that blonde musclehead on the same bike that is currently engaging against one of the clowns.

As to their opposing forces, there's that one clown on the ground and two others firing from the top of City Hall. She only has two familiars outside, but they should be plentiful enough to handle the ones at the top. Hopefully.

Yosh, it's time to get to work!

As the Clowns are focused on trying to shoot the hell out of the bike, she very carefully guided her familiars to the top of the City Hall, away from the windows that the Clown just emerged from. From there, they would slowly descend their way down towards said windows, until the Clowns came into Alya's sight.

And it was from there that the homunculus gave the order for them to engage in combat. Hoping to surprise them before they even notice the birds, one was suddenly shot out towards one of the Clowns, with the other one shooting itself towards one of the other Clowns shortly afterwards.

Regardless if whether or not they hit their intended target, from there on, they would continue to harrass and attack their targets semi-autonomously, flying away from a small distance away and dodging incoming attacks towards for a moment before shooting themselves towards the Clowns again and again until either the familiars or the Clowns are destroyed.

She would've loved to control them directly and with more fluid response for more effectiveness but at this distance, her powers simply doesn't allow for more precise coordination and faster reaction speed from her commands. For now, she simply content herself on leaving them to their own device until the need for further command is required as she engages the Clown in battle from a safe distance away.

City Hall 12th Floor - Coco

"It's bad enough they had to destroy my city hall, but they to do it in such garish colors - unforgivable," Coco said in hushed tones as they reached the twelfth floor.

Indeed, the clowns were wearing attire that was ugly as all sin. Purple and yellow? Purple and... darker purple? These runway rejects were a walking fashion disaster and wrapped up in a layer of atrocious attire.

Reaching into her pocket, her handbag seemed to vanish as she brought it towards her, and then when she retracted her hand it pulled out an L85A2 instead.

"Stay behind cover, stay quiet, and get ready to hit them hard on my signal," she added, before going ahead and pressing herself against one of the doorways leading into the room the clowns were in. Looking through the SUSAT at the backs of the clowns, she settled on keeping her barrel pointed at 'Wario' while letting the others do what they needed to do.

Holding the rifle steady in her iron grip with her right arm, she lifted up her left hand and started to count down on her fingers from three to zero, and then opened fire on the clown's back.

Bethany's Day in City Hall
"N-No, I do residential all the time! It's all I do, even!" Bethany suddenly sounded a little brighter, which might have been a bit disparate considering she was about to go on an anti-clown operation but gardening yay! "I came here today trying to get a job outside that, but I'm not going to complain if I walk away with a new customer! I'm sure there's some hardier flowers that you'll think will go well."

But then, of course, all sorts of fun business dealings had to come to a close because they were sneaking up on very familiar clowns. As in, Bethany immediately recognized the one in front of her as Wario of all people. Why him? What exactly drove him to think that just doing a cosplay of a fat anti-plumber was supposed to be funny?

The labyrinthine thought process of clowns would not be revealed unto her today. As Coco counted down, aiming at the yellow one, Bethany put a single finger onto the root of her plant. The second the mayor shot first, she would command the plant to grow at an incredible rate, launching forward as a single thick tendril and trying to wrap itself around this clown.

Shalltear - Hunting Clowns

Shalltear shook her head. "Ainz-sama should be heading north and safe from danger. But the only people I know with heavy weaponry like that are the military. If we are to acquire such weapons perhaps taking from the corpses of our enemies will help. But I am not skilled in the use of most guns." With a rocket wizzing by the van and some enemy thing landing ahead, they found one of these capsule things that had fallen.

"Perhaps we should assist those that have found enemies over there." Shalltear pointed out to the direction of the voices of police officers.

Southwest Residential

"Hey, machoman. If you guys are still by the city hall, you may wanna be careful." Funny how she ended up with Johnny Bravo's phone number on hers of all numbers to get. "There's a clown truck prowling through the city centre. They've got two armored cars for assist and are packing more heat than your hair dryer."

The Swarmlord returned from the house. It was hard to read Tyranids' body language or expressions, but its was obvious enough this time: the house was empty and there was nothing to scavenge. "They also have some non-Clowns with them. Make sure you pop those open for collaborating."

"Yeah, we've got some of those bastards 'round here too. Don't die out there, stud." Hanging up on the phone, there were things to attend now. "Neither am I." Monica replied with a laugh as she watched Crenshaw head towards the soldiers' calls. "But most of them follow the same principle; you point it at a target and a fire. Come on, let's make sure ol' Crenshaw doesn't die to an ambush." She gestured towards the leaving Hunter.

"Hrr?"    The Swarmlord issued a simple question. Monica glanced back where Crenshaw's buddy was leaving and gave a small nod. Without further sounds, the Tyranid prowled after Superman, body slightly hunched and blades at the ready. Monica, meanwhile, gestured for Shalltear to come along and ran after Crenshaw, tightly gripping her pistol.

She could only hope those honky-tonky assholes wouldn't blow up her van in the meantime.

Garrus: Near Army Base

With the Army Base in sight and the fighting dying down Garrus stopped the car far away from the fighting and got out. Out came the Viper as he waited for Tira and Joseph to get out before locking the doors using his Omni-tool. Trying to lower his profile, the officer whispered to the two with him "Ok, so the fighting seems to be moving away from the base but that leaves the clown squad from the east even more uncounted for. We need to start moving before they finish any plans they got" and then Garrus started to move forward quietly, not wanting to possibly alert the targets.

Outside City Hall, Ground Level

Despite Nepbike’s movements, the Toad-dressed Clown still somehow managed to land close enough where Johnny could strike him.

“AHHHHH!” the Clown screamed in a Toad-like manner.

Though despite the blow and height from which the Clown fell, the Clown’s stomach did not give way. Furthermore, when Johnny attempted to Judo-flip the Clown, the Clown would also attempt to grab Johnny back, latching on with surprising strength if successful. With its momentum, it would also attempt do drive its feet into Johnny, assuming it had managed to grab onto his biceps.

However, if it was flipped and if it had successfully managed to grapple onto Johnny, it would then drive its feet into the pavement, and would try to perform a flip of its own, shouting “WEEEE-HEEEE!” in the process.

Otherwise, it would simply tumble over, and get into a fighting position for any incoming attacks.

City Hall, 12th Floor

The Wario and Waluigi dressed Clowns would continue to shoot at the people down below, their distance from the ground meant their shots were largely inaccurate.

The two of them did not notice as Ayla’s familiars approached.

The Wario-dressed Clown seemed to be the first to notice them. He poked his comrade, and the two of them took aim as the familiars came close.

The two of them then retreated just a bit inside the room they were in before shooting at the familiars, but ultimately, they made no attempts to dodge them. In spite of however many bullets may have landed into them, the familiars were able to hit their targets, one into each one. The impact of the shots caused the two Clowns to scream out with “WAAAAAAAH!”

Streamers flew out of the Wario-Clown’s body, while some sort of gas seemed to spew from Waluigi’s frame.

As they were now familiar with the sort of damage these familiars could do, they began to aim more carefully at them, hopefully landing a few shots. They would also begin, ducking, dodging, and leaping out of the way whenever the familiars looked like they were about to dart toward them.

As they did this, the two Clowns would begin making their way towards the stairs.

When Coco, Yuuka, and the other woman had reached the eleventh floor, the doors to the twelfth burst open.

“Who’s there?” said the Wario-Clown.

“Yeah,” said the Waluigi-Clown, “this is our house now!”

While Ayla’s familiars were hopefully away or disposed of, the two Clowns haphazardly threw a pair of grenades down the stairs.

The unnamed woman was some distance behind the other two, struggling to keep up. However, when she saw the grenades bounce, she screamed out, “Uwaaaaah!” and leaped back down the way she just came from.

Near City Hall

The bearded men in the building across the street retreated out of sight.

Southwest Residential

As Crenshaw ran north and Monica followed after him, he would eventually come across a pair of soldiers who now seemed to be advancing to one of the houses further ahead. A few others seemed to have occupied some of the other houses nearby in the firefight.

One of them would say, “Are there any other civilians in the area?”

When Clark ran to the house towards the west and Swarmlord followed, he would hear a soft honk, followed by a window crashing open a few seconds later, presumably on the other side of the house since they could not see the window breaking. Should they look inside at the partially opened door, he would see a grenade lying on the floor.

The two rippers that had come from the north would finally arrive nearby.

Near Army Base

The fighting still seemed to loom distant as Garrus approached the tracks. When he got close enough to the crest of the raised ground where the bearded men previously were, he would find no one there. Instead, he would find their weapons, a rifle and a rocket launcher, lying on the ground besides the tracks. A single capsule lay open on the ground just a few yards away.

A few rows of houses lay in the strip between the tracks and the highway. There weren’t many people that lived within these houses, but they had been there prior to the Clown Crisis.

It wasn’t quite clear where the Clown-aligned adversaries had gone. Some of the windows to the houses had been broken, though many of these windows had been in this state for a while.

East Central Residential

The Clown truck would eventually begin winding its way into East Central Residential. With police cars and vehicles belonging to unnamed vigilantes trailing behind and keeping their distance, the choppers in the air were only able to maintain chain gun fire. Now that the truck was within distance of downtown’s high-rising buildings, it was more difficult for the Apaches to get a clean shot without doing damage to them in the process.

The truck would eventually pass through the street (going East to West) which would eventually pass by the City Hall building, though the truck kept going forward.

South Central Residential

Seeing as the truck was the much greater potential threat, the two go karts were largely ignored, save for the few cars that tried (and failed) to follow after them.

“Hey Mario,” said the Luigi-dressed Clown, “you sure this was a good idea?”

“Course it is, Luigi! I’m the one who thought of it,” said the other Clown.

“But Mario, you didn’t even think of this plan in the first place.”

“Well I certainly didn’t hear you make it.”

“Who the fuck’s in charge of this operation in the first place? All I know is that we’re supposed to drive this truck into the big city and host a big birthday party or something.”

“Maybe you should have read the enclosed instruction booklet.”

There was a pause, and a bit of fighting, before either one of them spoke again.

“We’re all going to die here, aren’t we Mario,” the Luigi-Clown said with a wide smile on his face. “Toad, Wario, Wa…”

“Relax, Luigi. They’ll be fine. Besides, nobody gives a shit about them. They’re our rivals anyway.”

“They’re Clowns, Mario! They’re fellow Clowns! Fuck, Mario, we should have brought along Joshi!”

“We all knew this day would come, Luigi. We knew things would be like this when we gave up our souls to become the universe’s ultimate life form. Life isn’t fair, and we might all die some day, but let’s make the best of what we got, shall we?”

By this point, the two Clowns had reached the far south side of the district, and were beginning to loop around east.

“Say,” said the Luigi-Clown, “I wonder what happened to our friends by the tracks.”

“Who gnomes, Luigi. Who gnomes.”
