Suggestion: Undead Barefooter

The essence of this trope is that a seemingly human character is barefoot when it's usually expected to wear shoes, and this hints at him being undead.

One of my proposals is Abby from Let Me In:

Alternatively, we may use one of the illustrations from Divine Comedy, like this one, with the caption "Guess who is the only living person there?" (Dante is frequently depicted as the only one wearing shoes, while all the dead characters are barefoot)

Previous thread.. The first suggestion in no way gives the impression of being anything more than a barefoot girl, and the second was fielded in the other thread and didn't get much traction as I recall.

Is this the only sign is that they are barefoot or can they be full zombie like this?

Yeah, they can't look like actual corpses...the barefootedness is the tell, but finding a circumstance that makes clear that they're undead is the trick.
