Though the movie (and the comics) also feature a more dramatic side of Deadpool as well. It'd be good if this series maintained that.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Okay legit is there any form of media Donald Glover isn't involved in
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Anime/Manga; mostly because he isn't brought on to voice a character.
Anyway while FXX is the designated comedy channel, let's not forget that a) it shows movies that aren't comedic, b) some of its comedic shows have serious/action moments in them, and c) Donald Glover's show Atlanta is a good example of Dramedy as while it's geared more towards the comedic side it still have its moments.
So I think Deadpool won't be a full fledge comedy . . . unless it is based entirely on the Daniel Way run of the character.
I think you're splitting hairs a bit. Archer has some intense action but it is still very much a comedy. That's sort of the point. It's a comedic parody of stuff like James Bond and the Bourne movies.
In much that same way I imagine Deadpool will be a comedy that still has plenty of action. If it weren't, they probably wouldn't be putting it on their comedy channel, hiring two guys best known for making an award-winning comedy, or be adapting a character known primarily for being comedic.
If anything, it's going to be like Rick and Morty was during its first season, and shift a little to a more serious tone in its later seasons, while still being very hilarious.
"We be we baby!"Every episode should begin like Brave and the Bold with a cold opening unrelated to the episode's story with Deadpool "teaming up" with various obscure Marvel characters.
Every episode should end with Deadpool addressing the audience directly to explain a moral or safety tip that may or may not have anything to do with the events of that episode.
I'm all in if Brute Force makes an appearance.
Based on this, I'm fairly certain that Andy Samberg could do a great job voicing Deadpool. [[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRu_-9MBpd4]]

Looks like this product has been cancelled.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).That sucks so hard. I just seriously hate how this ended up going nowhere.
"We be we baby!"Just found out about this.
Man, we didn't even get to see what anything from the show would look like.
Where did it go wrong? Sure, they said it was "Creative Differences", but does anyone else have a sneaking feeling this might be because of the Disney-Fox deal?
Well this was a waste of time.
Thanks for getting my hopes up.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That blows. However, there is still Netflix.
Disney should have no say in matters until 2019.
Mileena MadnessSince the latter half of the episode basically devolves into Deadpool saying "Fuck Marvel" and speculating why they chose not to pick up the show, I'm gonna guess it's not real.
Wait, that might not actually be the script for a hypothetical season 1 finale?
I...honestly don't know what else it could be.
I looks like something Glover wrote up on the spur of the moment after getting bus chucked by the network as 'too busy'. Presumably, this is written in the same style he intended for the show, rather than literally one of the scripts.
So...I guess this "look at me, I'm posting this so-called complete season 1 finale script on Twitter" thing is part of an elaborate ruse to convince the top brass that yes, everybody really wants an adult Deadpool toon?
Which kind of sounds like how the Deadpool movie got made because the test footage got leaked and everyone kept trending it?
I'm genuinely stumped about this...
They said he was too busy?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I recall reading that the split was over "creative differences."
Maybe there was something about him having schedule conflicts, but I'd have to doublecheck.
