Police guy does have a point, but he could have phrased it better. A lot better. He just ended up coming across as a prick who's just trying to maximise his chances of getting laid, which is definitely part of it, though it's probably not all there was to it considering his tone and the fact that he's likely known Ririko since she was a toddler.

Episode 12: This is going to blow up in their faces somehow. Just a hunch.
Riri's granny has become a lot more personable lately.
There is...one more cour left. This is totally gonna blow up in their faces, guaranteed.
So yeah, the rock concert ended up being a flash in the pan. People do show up at Manoyama, but they're UMA enthusiasts looking for Manoyama's chupacabra.
Episode 16: The President and Rin's grandma are revealed to have been in a rock band with Doku. And they called themselves Beef, Olive and Poison!
Rin, go join the Cryptid Twelve. Become the Cryptid Thirteen.
Well this does explain a lot of Riri's grandmother's attitude. Woman knows how to hold grudge.
It's the old man's fault though?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. That's why he feels bad about it now. According to his wife, anyway.
Episode 17: Annoying old geezers kidnap Yoshino. Wait, what?
"Let's introduce the seniors to the internet! .... why did they turn into angry, argumentative, shut-in trolls?? Who could've seen this coming??!?"
It was an odd direction for the series to take, but it paid off.
The professor's death hit Sanae the hardest. She even shed a quiet tear to herself.
Episode 19: Oh, Shiori. Gotta love demure girls with cutting wit.
Maki gets the chance to chase her dreams!

Episode 20
This episode is.... so SWEET. Yoshino is a true friend. In a way she knew how upset Maki was at losing the part, and made it up to her tenfold!
Oden's Christmas play was actually pretty funny too.
Episode 23: Feel bad for old man Akiyama. [[spoiler: Getting screwed because of your charity is quite the unpleasant experience.
And just when they manage to score a hip bakery shop, turns out that Manoyama is slated to be absorbed into another town.
Episode 24: I am so happy those exosuits are seeing some serious use.
Oh and Yoshino decided to stay in Manoyama.
There's still one more episode.
Oooh, so I guess I have to watch 24 then...good.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.So, we reached the finale at last...I can't wait to see how this goes. Some predictions for what the finale might entail are found here; what kind of ending would y'all prefer?
The only resource you need for tropesLast episode is out. Adios, Kingdom of Chupakabura. They also reused the excellent first ED with Kadota cheering Yoshino as she leaves. The feels!
For a character that only bumbles into the series in its last episode, Mayor Naumann is chock full of engrish hilarity. He tweeted "wasshoi rn" and that's adorable.
Oh, and lots of characters from the previous eps show up! Fitting for a rural festival, everyone in town is there to party. Lots of cute character moments too. From Maki's brother being set on staying in Manoyama, to Riri singing (and she also gets drunk for the first time, awww!), even to that policeman actually managing to score brownie points with a girl.
The girls also go their separate ways, but they'll always have Manoyama to go back to. And having a hometown is always reassuring.
The feels! My heart! I can barely take it. I grown to love these characters as though I was actually living in that town, and now I'm so sad I have to leave.
Episode 11: Sad backstories. Truly an unfair world we live when a girl interested in UMAs is called weird instead of fun.
