I always thought it was trivia more than anything. Kinda like Rule 34 – Creator Reactions but the creators are the ones who did porn first.
This needs splitting IMO.
- Creator did porn once this is his (first) mainstream work, Trivia
- Clean Version, Clean Adaptation and/or Clean Sequel, Adaptations or versions of things like 18+ visual novels and such that have their 18+ content cut. Very common for animes, for example 18+ Fate/stayNight got a clean version on the PS 2 with all sex scenes and an anime that also excluded the sexual scenes, in different ways. Also as an example on the latter Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a sequel of the H-Game Triangle Heart 3 Sweet Songs Forever

Well nvm, the thread just sits there locked.
I think a TRS thread would need a wick check in the opening post to determine the need for a split. That may be why nobody's opened the thread yet.
That said, I don't know if it really needs a split? Both Type 1 and Type 2 in the TRS thread made seem to be the same thing, given Tropes Are Flexible. idk
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyThe fact that Dr Seuss once did porn book is wholly Trivia and has nothing to do with his children's books.
The fact that say Fate Stay Night was an Eroge censored and adapted in various forms is not trivia and has something to do in the work itself.
Both are examples on the page and fully valid on the page itself. No need for a wickcheck it's on the page itself.

The wick check is so that we know how widely the situation (and any changes we might make) affect the wiki as a whole. That's why we rarely accept TRS threads based solely on the examples on the page. It's also why we expect the wick check to be on more than a few of the wicks (the formula for how many is based on a simplified method of getting a statistically-valid sample size: if there are fewer than fifty wicks, check them all. if there are between 51 and 2500 wicks, check fifty randomly-chosen ones. If there are more than 2501 wicks, check the number equal to the square root of the number of wicks, rounding up and choosing randomly.)
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.What about just sorting the examples on the page? Its all over it, there are at least 50 of each type on the page itself not even counting the wicks.

The reason we do wick checks is to see how widely the situation (or the proposed changes) affect the wiki as a whole. Checking the examples on the page itself does not tell us that.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.If you want to sort the page examples, go ahead, as long as you do it completely and properly. But if you want TRS to consider splitting the page, you need to do a proper wick check.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.@ Memers: That is, you see in the wicks if Bleached Underpants are really used as those two things or not.
Yeah, we do things by experiments nowadays.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.
Is this trope when a character (in-universe) tries to move on from their more prurient past? Or is it when the work undergoes a Tone Shift to be less adult?
This trope was brought up in the YKTTW draft for Tamer and Chaster. Are these two aspects two different tropes or capable of being covered by Bleached Underpants?
