Before Superman could retaliate, another burst of the psychic beacon rang in his head. With it, this time, came a woman's voice that seemed strangely familiar.

Assuming Miguel was still around, on his lonely surveillance of Hub City, he might have heard a voice from down below. "Hey! Hey you up there!" Down in the streets, a man was waving up at him with what looked like a metal arm.

Jump City

Steel sighed. It was going to be one of those days, wasn't it?

His armor lit up blue and he blasted off, chasing after the brawling ubermensch.

Xavier Mansion

Darwin tromped down the stairs in gray sweat pants. It was hard to call him topless when he didn't have any anatomy to speak, looking quite a bit like some elongated Gray. The first thing he noticed was Angel or Professor Worthington because that was a man that stood out.

Then- uh-

"Hey, blue guy, you're new."

New York, Booster Gold

"Oh... right," Booster Gold muttered as he noticed the conflict's end and powered down his shield. "So what exactly happened here?" Then he caught Halo staring at him and smiled, holding out his hand. "Hi there," he said amicably, "Michael John Carter, Booster Gold, Independent Candidate for the President of the United States. I hope that I can count on your vote in November. I mean, y'know, if you're an American Citizen. And registered."

New York, leaving Oa

Phyla-Vell sighed as Freddy Freeman dragged her through the portal Ghia'ta had created. She had wanted to stay on Oa, mostly to get Laira's signal frequency, but Freddy wanted to visit home and she couldn't really let her wander around unsupervised.

A boy in an exoskeleton and a girl in weird clothes with an oxygen tank hooked to her back drew some weird looks, but Freddy didn't care. He was far too excited to be back on Earth and back home in New York! There was so much to look at and so much that had changed! Like what the heck was a "Superman", and apparently Tony Stark was a superhero now.

Jump City, Superman

Superman stopped when the psychic beacon rang in his head and let himself be pulled along to where it was leading him, ignoring Majestic and the confused girl for the time being. He felt powerfully compelled.

Kara Zor-El-Remebrance

The message that the last son of Krypton had just received wasn't the only one. Years ago another message had come to him.

"...This is my final message to the traveler; Kal-El. You are not alone. The one that put your in your cradle; In your basket through the stars; the frozen angel is here and she is looking for you."

"Did he receive it?'

The last daughter of Krypton lay on the ground touching her head.

"Mom, Dad, Where is Kal-el?. I Put him in his craddle; that ship... I...I feel cold," she tarted to murmur to herself as if she was a little girl again. It didn't even made sense considering the weather was sunny.

The whole wold was shaking around her. She took a deep breath

"It's fine he didn't do anything..."she told Majestic." it's just that there is something about him... I can't say it with words."

But then him instead of answering her questions or caring about her pain, he just ran away! She frowned at him.

When Kara saw him leaving, she decided to follow him from behind following his trail. " Is that what you do? You run away when things get tough ? l won't leave you until you answer my questions!" she yelled at Superman.

Mary Batson—Present day—Not a mutant

Meanwhile outside the X-mansion was a little girl knocking outside the door.

It seemed as if it was yesterday since she had driven her bike to meet her heros. Long before she was given her powers. The day the metal men decided to save her.

And she was again there with her bycicle just parked in a nearby post. She had arrived the old fashioned way. Just her and her bycicle. No powers and no magic. Just old fashioned pedaling.

"What would they think about what she was going to ask?"

She almost knocked but stoped herself from actually doing it. After staring at the door for half an hour she closed her eyes and then she knocked at the door.

X Mansion

Kurt was about to teleport and get the door when Darwin arrived. He was a bit spooked, but smiled, his friendly demeanor resurfacing as he held out a hand. "Kurt Wagner, the incredible Nightcrawler. A pleasure to meet you!"

Of course, there was another knock on the door, which made Kurt turn his head to it. He sighed. This would be a long day.

Manhattan

"Booster Gold is running for-?" Robbie began to say incredulously before being interrupted by Suzie:

"OH MY GOD! Its BOOSTER GOLD!! OhmygodohmygodohmygodIcan'tbelieveit HEY BOOSTER OVER HERE I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN YOU HAVE MY VOTE!! Well when I am old enough to vote anyway!!!"

Question - Crowd in the streets, getting more crowded

"What happened, Mr, Carter is that this woman here was fighting with the Princess" the faceless man pointed at Ghia'ta "She was shot down and since civilians were apprehended against their will we intervened" he said pointing at both himself and Halo "and subdued Miss Sapphire here" he pointed again to the sleeping villain.

"As far as this one" He pointed a Halo "well we don't know, I was looking to help her find out who she is as she doesn't know her-"

"OH MY GOD! Its BOOSTER GOLD!! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod Ican'tbelieveit HEY BOOSTER OVER HERE I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN YOU HAVE MY VOTE!! Well when I am old enough to vote anyway!!!" Hollered an excited teen from afar

"Ugh... Fangirls... In any case yes I was looking to help this glowing young lady to find herself, literally." He moved to pick up Star Sapphire "and see the exact why's and how's on this other woman was attacking civilians" So spoke the faceless man.

Sara moved slowly towards Star Sapphire, unaware of what was going on with the crowds. She came very close to Princess Ghia'ta, and turned towards her.

Rose, Mansion

She was jumpy. She was really jumpy. When the elevator dinged, she almost jumped out of her skin. Alnost. The guy who came out was clearly a mutant. And a teacher here. The school. Where she was.

"C-canton. Rose."

There was a new arrival at the mansion, and someone came down the staircase.

"A-and I'm not visiting, I'm newly enrolled."

X-Mansion

Ya know, I haven't seen Blue Beetle in a while, Darwin thought as he took Nightcrawler's hand. "Erm, Darwin, the Evolving Boy, I guess that's what I'm called.

"We gettin' lots of visitors?"

Kurt shrugged. "Yes, it would seem so. I have to get the door now."

He gave Rose a smile, hoping to reassure her that he would be back, and teleported outside to greet whoever it was. A BAMF alerted the people at the door he was there.

He saw about three people, one of them some scruffy man, and a young girl as well. "Hello! I am Kurt Wagner! Nice to meet you!"

"Oh, hey, another guy who teleports. I wonder what I'll be turning into if I ever hitch a ride with him."

Darwin grimaced and tilted his head, looking off to the side. "That reminds me, I wonder how in the world Access is doing."

As Booster soaked up his daily dose of glory, an agent from SHIELD HQ came in over his communicator. ''Agent Booster, when you've finished with that mess, report back to HQ and bring the superheroes that are there with you. There's someone here who wants to talk to you all."

"Ah," Mr Worthington nodded. "Well, it's good to have you with us, Miss Canton. My name is Mister Worthington, I'm the gym teacher and flight instructor here. Would you like to have a word with the principal?"

Good. This time, the voice cropped up in Kara's head. In fact, every superhero present now heard the strange lady's voice. Stay where you are. I'm on my way to you.

After a moment or two, the assembled super people saw something over in the distance. A decidedly human shape, sailing through the air like a kite in a gentle breeze, drifted into town and towards Steel, Majestic, Missjestic and Superman himself. Soon enough, the newcomer alighted on the sidewalk, and approached Superman on foot, slowly, hesitantly, and with her head shyly bowed. She wore a jumpsuit of white and pinkish red, had long blonde hair, and some rather distinctive facial features.

"Hi, Superman," said Saturn Girl. "It's been a long time...maybe a little longer for you."

Mary Batson-A girl among mutants

The first person to greet her and open the door was Kurt. The truth was, this wasn't the first time they had met each other. But she couldn't tell him that.

She closed her eyes giving him a smile.

"Good morning my name is Mary Batson. It's nice to meet you" she offered her hand to him. " It's nice to meet you. She looked down for a few seconds. He looked fearsome but he was so friendly. Mary had seen real monsters and they were nothing like him.

Um... I was wondering if I could talk with—"

She looked at a name written in her hand clearly by pen. The sweat of seeing the friendly blue mutant almost erased the ink. "Professor Xam-I mean Xavier? It's something related to my friend Squirrel girl."

Star Sapphire (Ghi'ata)- New hearts .

"In my dream I saw you wearing a violet mask; two hearts but one body..." she elaborated. " It's amazing how the memories in our minds may fade, but our hearts never forget; even yours "

But before she elaborated a woman called Called Sara approached the group, apparently wanting directions. "You might feel lost, but your heart already knows the way., She told her. " It's not a coincidence you're here."

" I am princes Ghi'ata of the zamarons and as star saphire a guardian of love," she introduced herself to Sarah and Booster Gold. " I came to earth because your planet is in great danger. The love of your planet is at great risk by an evil that lurks in the shadows. Unseen yet behind us."

Then to Booster Gold, " Even the glitter of gold eventually fades. If you want to shine let others see your heart shine and those seeking light will follow you."

Star sapphire (Carol Ferris)-Awakening

While the other heroes were distracted with Booster Gold. The supervillain's armor faded like hundreds of petals leaving her body. The now seemingly normal woman woman began to shake herself as she slowly opened her eyes.

"What happened, Uh? Where am I? Who are you? and Why are you holding me like that." She began to shake her head

"Put me down!" She demanded, punching Victor. She wasnt particularly strong so it would probably be more of a bother than any real harm.

"Hey you're Booster shine right? You are a superhero , aren't yout? These people are trying to kidnap me. Aren't you going to help me?"

Halo, Streets of New York

She understood about half of the words Booster used, but she wasn't going to reveal how unworldly she was. She shook Booster's hand as she bashfully avoided eye contact.

Her eyes shot open at Suzie's yell, and she nervously wrenched her hand away from Booster's as Victor grumbled about fangirls. She wasn't a fangirl - at least, she hoped she wasn't one.

She jerked a thumb at the newly awake Star Sapphire. "She's the reason all those people were trapped in crystal. And she made lions that attacked me and my friend. They're gone now - I made them explode."

She turned Ghia'ta's words over in her mind. Two hearts, one body, violet mask...it didn't make any sense. She wanted to ask what it meant, if it was supposed to mean anything, but the princess had other things to worry about right now.

Booster heard the young woman's outburst and put his arms around everyone, bringing them in for a photo op.

"Smile for the people, heroes," he told them all with a huge grin. "Give 'em what they want." Well, obviously the guy with no face couldn't but, y'know. Then he heard the agent's voice in his ear as he let everyone go and tapped his earpiece with a roll of his eyes. "Yeah, yeah," he whispered while still wearing a smile, "In a second." Then Ghi'ata the Star Sapphire said something about the gold in his heart, he wasn't really paying attention because the girl Question was carrying started freaking out.

"Miss," he said in his best attempt at a calming town, "I'm gonna need you to settle down. It's clear to me that you're either lying or not in control of your actions because, from the sound of things, you were the bad guy here. Now, if you'd like, SHIELD has some great psychoanalysts I could introduce you to."

Jump City

Majestic followed the instructions of the voice in his head but the look he shot Superman made it clear that he was looking for any excuse to deck him.

"Saturn Girl," Superman breathed out with a mixture of surprise and remembrance. "Hey! It's good to see you again. How's the Legion?"

Ghi'ata—this strange planet

Despite never seeing her, and despite her dream being symbolic and prophetic, Halo was just the way she had imagined her. It didn't make sense, but love did act in mysterious ways.

"What is that device you're holding?" The princess asked after seeing the camera. " Is that some kind of communicator device. She blinked after the flash. Blinding her for a second.

"Was that some kind of communicator device?"

The princess briefly addressed Carol after she had talk with Booster. "Carol Ferris of earth, you can't let the bitterness in your heart consume you. This is not why you were chosen... "

She then addressed the whole group. "I'm sorry you had to witness this. It pains my heart to see the star sapphires losing the sight of the love we serve. "

Carol Ferris- Love is not nice.

"What? " She said with a frown. "You're calling me crazy now? I can see why you're just a C-list "hero". Newsflash you're not as big deal as you think you're. The world doesn't revolve around you. Maybe you should look beyond your ego for once."

She looked around. "This isn't Jump city... What I am doing here?"

Kara Zor-El—Jump city

Kara approached Majestic "I am sorry you had to get into this Kal-El. I wanted to sort this out without you worrying about me. She put a hand over his shoulder."

Was that a voice in her head? Or was her super hearing making hear things that weren't there? She turned around to greet the blond heroine giving her a warm smile.

"If you want to meet the world's greatest hero you might want to talk to Majestic over here. " she pointed at Majestic with her head, after Saturn girl greeted Superman. Kara then approached Saturn girl offering her hand. " You must be a new hero right?"

After talking with Saturn girl, she approached the man of steel.

"I will ask you again. Why are you wearing that symbol?" She asked superman while showing him a silver bracelet that had the the emblem of the house of el carved in.

Rose, Inside Mansion

Rose nodded furiously at Mr Worthington.

"Nice t-to meet you, Mr Worthington."

Clutching the letter which noted her acceptance, she seemed entirely out of place.

"That would be amazing."

Jump City

Superman looked curiously back and forth between Majestic and Missjestic, a confused expression on his face when she called Majestic Kal-El while Majestic blushed at being called "The World's Greatest hero." Then she asked him that question and he sighed with sudden understanding.

"Oh no," he muttered, tapping his index fingers against his lips. "Um... how do I put this? I wear this symbol, miss, because I am Kal-El. I am the last son of the house of El. My question is how you have that symbol. Krypton was destroyed." Kal-El winced as Majestic's eyes widened and he could hear the other man grinding his back teeth.

New York

"...You do know that I'm running for President, right?" Booster asked incredulously. "I'm kind of famous. I'm Big in Japan."

Jump City

Steel has no right clue what's going on as he floated just a pit further from the rest of the group, looking between his fellow San Franciscans, this... Jupiter Woman and Superman. "Can't you all be related? I don't understand.

"But Kara, I know of this man. Because of this man, I wear this symbol as tribute. Because of him, I am alive."

Kurt held out his hand to young Mary. "Well, let's get you inside. If you hold on tight, I can teleport us both, and we can find the Professor."

Victor/Question - Post Photo Op

Great, photos of him without his face on, certainly not his best angle. So Mr. Candidate here was working with SHIELD, great maybe he could get them to return his calls. He turned to address the questions of the group they were in.

"That was a camera, they aren't a communication device" he said to Ghia'ta "Not in the traditional sense at least, it captures images, moments in memory, I'd go into the technical details but they don't matter and I don't think you'd care anyway" Then he turned to Carol

"Miss Ferris, welcome to the city that never sleeps, you, or your alter ego who you seem to be forgetting, began fighting with the Princess here when she tried to seal the denizens of this city with crystal, I knocked you out to prevent that. Now tell me, why would you be all the way in Jump City?" Asked Question getting in her personal space as he caught her up and began interrogating.

"Hmm, it seems we arrived in the aftermath of a super-battle. Too bad" Robbie lamented.

Suzie ignored him. She was star-struck.

But he didn't care she wasn't listening either. He focused on deciphering the situation, but he hardly recognized most of the people involved. "Let's see, that's the Question, no question about it *snicker* A-hem! Ferris- could that be Carol Ferris, of Ferris aircraft? What would she be doing here?"

Starfire & Rogue, X-Mansion

Soon, Starfire entered into the X-Mansion, trying to not interrupt them all. "Um, kind mutants... Logan and I are here to speak to Professor Xavier... My name is Starfire."

"You know, this place is startin' to get crowded!" Rogue crossed her arms, uncomfortable with the number of people there.

Kara Zore-El —Love from the ashes.

'''No that's impossible." she replied to Superman. "My memories are still fuzzy. It feels like a hand I am just about to touch but I can never reach. I feel something is not letting me remember. It's like a fall that has all its water blocked by a rock. " she sighed deeply with her eyes closed. " But I never forgot about my cousin."

"But I have had this bracelet my whole life. Long before you even showed up. I even though I was a human, until Majestic found me. Everything I am is because he taught me I could be better than just a street rat.."

I don't think so," she replied to Steel. " I remember Kal-el as a baby. I... took care of him and ."—She glanced at Majestic. —"Majestic is the only family I have left."

"If you were Karl-el you would remember me. Just as I never forgot about him. I am Kara Zor-El the last daughter of Krypton."

Her sad tone, turned into anger. "And that symbol is the only thing I have left of my family. So you better have a good reason of wearing it in your chest."

Star Sapphire Ghi'ata

"Recording you say? You humans are so peculiar. You use devices to record each precious and unique instant with your loved ones. That's wonderful," she replied to the Question.

"Her ,alter-ego as you say, it's the embodiment of her loneliness. Her hearts thirst for love. She is but a tool of my mother, queen Agapo. " She looked down. " The sapphires have lost the sight of the love that guide us."

Mary Batson- The nicest blue mutant.

"Uhm... thanks" Mary batson replied with a timid smile. " You are very nice," she told nightcrawler. She held him just as he suggested.

"Doreen told me all about this place. It must be great to live like this. You're so different and yet you're like a family."

Carol Ferris-Suing for everybody

""It's not the first time this country sees a clown running for president." She replied to Booster Gold. Carol grunted.

"Alright but first put me down" she said to the Question

"I am Carol, Carol Ferris of Ferris Aircraft. You might heard of me. And I am going to sue you all for kidnapping me. She frowned.

"Last thing I remember we were testing a new ship. I was supposed to meet Hal to test our new ship. Our main offices are in Jump city, by the way," she replied to the Question. " I don't know what you mean by crystals. I had never seen that alien girl in my life. I am not a crazy super villain. I have enough problems in my life." She sighed deeply.

" Can I leave now?" She demanded.
