oh, my bad. Misread that. I'm in the situation of having a spare brave lyn myself and not knowing what to do with her, so i thought someone else was in the same situation
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."i have a spare brave lyn. well, my only Brave Lyn. But she's -Atk so she might as well be a spare since she's not killing much with that atttacking stat.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeSo i'm planning to upgrade Weapons for Nepheene and Ursula.
1. Which upgrade route should I go with for Neph? For the record, she has +SPD -HP. I'm thinking Defense or Attack, but are there others I should take into account?
2. Does Ursula benefit from the Stat Ignoring Blarraven skill, or the stat buffs more?
A corpse should be left well enough alone...DEF and ATK are both solid if she's +SPD.
As for Ursula, it depends on your team and her performance. Is she missing out on kills? Are horse buffs a problem for your team?
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Honestly I almost wish they were. The theme of all the Christmas heroes and their weapons is "giant pile of stats" in a way I find almost aggressively boring.
I must admit, it is fun to see Tharja sit on the Musou map, not move, and kill everyone that tries to touch her.
Don't know about Kitty Paddle, but Candlelight is refinable.
Indeed. As far as I know the Grimoire and the Kitty Paddle are the only seasonal weapons without refinery options.
Note that this time, they gave us two absolutely identical weapons (Handbell & Sack O'Gifts). I think it is a first.
Which means I assume that the next step of "humorous" luck/money bragging on reddit will be Lissa with the Sack, or Chrom with the Bell.
My luck is decent this time!
Previous post: I threw 20 for Lute.
I threw 40 more and it earned me Winter Chrom and Eldigan. Plus 1 free Hinata.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Kiran does the December monthly armor emblem quests◊.
I'm sure some people would whale hard for speedo Hector or bikini Effie.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!Got 20 more orbs from doing quests for the new paralogue, got Chromsmas. +Atk, -Spd which is pretty good for someone as slow as he is.
Never mind bikini!Effie, sarashi!Effie would unlock my wallet.
I know Owl tomes are not topping any charts at the moment, but what would make a good A skill for a Owl tome user? I'm thinking of Fortress Defense since I'm not rolling in Distant Defense or Close Defence. Fury is another option, I have nearly as many Fury fodder as I have Renewal fodder.
Close Counter (if you're Boey or have a Boey-like stat distribution). Otherwise, depends on the character. Before I changed my Mae over to Blade, she still ran Fury and Desperation with her Owl tome.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiIf you are talking in hypotheticals, then Atk/Res (Nowitch) or Atk/Def (Fjorm) bond, obviously. In all likelihood, the other combinations will eventually appear too.
If you want something more common, then it depends on your use. Stances are good (on BK, Dorcas and Nekura) if you are using your owl tomes defensively. If you use a mage with many HP, then a boost (Boey, Berkut, Luke, Gray) can be nice. If you want them to pass some critical double thresholds, then Darting Blow or Swift Sparrow. If you have extras Celica or PA!Olivia, Distant Def is also likely to be an awesome option. Fury is the classic all-rounder ability that will do the job.

& Yeah I think I'll have to settle for Fury, I would love to use all these exotic skills, but, well, they're rare as fuck.
I'm thinking about merging my Boeys into Sonya or Deirdre, but they really can't make use of Earth Boost. My next option would be Fury or Fortress defense, but I don't think even Fortress Defense and Owl buffs can compensate their low defense. At the barest minimum, a lot of Spur defense would be required on top of this.
I'm thinking that if I include a Celica with Spur def seal/C skill to the team, I can make it work (without mentioning support link). Let's pretend for the time being that I have a Raudrowl laying around...
That leaves two spots open: Blue Owl tome and a free spot. I have Tailtyu that mostly stand out because of her Drive skill on her C.
PA!Olivia is the favorite candidate for the fourth spot, she brings a dance skill and with the proper seal, her daggers allows her to heal reasonably without being a dedicated healer. I think that he heal would be even safer with Windsweep, to prevent enemy physical ranged to retaliate. Finally, I can have her wield a Drive Def to further increase survivability across the team.
None of the Element boost skills are really that great on the units that they come on. It's also rare to have another unit that can use them well, since there's often clearly better alternatives.
@Julep: For seasonal weapons you aren't counting dancers, right? Because I would be quite agog if Urdr could be refined.
@Dark Destruction: Dagnabbit, I like the way FE generally has the units that are supposed to be walking tanks dress like walking tanks. (Which spares me the temptation I'd normally feel to pull a Close Counter armor mage.) Grumble grumble bikini armor grumble grumble back in my day.

Ahem. That's Battle Ready Armor.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Another merged Eirika, and I'm at 4924 in AA. I don't think I'm breaking into the top 5000 anytime soon unless they start handing out a bunch of Burger Kings, but I should be very comfortable in the next tier down.
Forgot it indeed :)
Well obviously, but as far as "cheap solutions" go (especially the defensive ones, the offensive ones are locked on 5* pity breakers) they can be a decent alternative to Fury if A/ you don't want Fury on everyone and B/ they have high HP and want to keep them that way. Definitely not optimal for Arena, but for TT it can be nice. Boey, Merric or Henry can run them decently at the very least, it can help mitigate their poor RES when combined with a Distant Def seal and increase their staying power.
Obviously if you can give Steady Breath or Close/Distant Counter, do so.
@Armors: Lissa is already a pretty tanky healer in her normal outfit, now that she carries a bell, just imagine that her crinoline has been reinforced with steel.
(Her stats are insane it's so funny)

All the Christmas banner units actually aren't any more armored than their regular incarnations, just that they're radiating so much Christmas Spirit that it's shielding them from attacks.
I think it's funny and fun how Xmas Tharja's weapon just drops a present on the enemy.
The design of the holiday characters and maps are great.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyOh yeah, also, my attempts to get a Christmas unit today landed me a pity breaker... In the form of yet another 5 Star Hector.
... I can't think of someone I really want Distant Counter on right now, so I'll just hang on to him for now. Maybe for once I'll merge him with the 5 Star Hector I'm using.

@Yumil: The extra Lyn I got is regular Lyn, not Brave Lyn. No Swift Sparrow for me.
After reading the responses, I think I'm going to check whether I draw Christmas Lissa or not (she does seem to be a good Galeforce candidate). If I don't, I'll merge Lyn.
