Finally finished watching Episode 11. IRL probably in a year a person like Takahashi will be called a Demi-human expert, but I'm not sure whether he'd be Famed In Universe.

But I'd like to bring the attention to Chapter 17, which is adapted as the middle part of Episode 7 (the part when Sato talks with Ugaki). The anime seems to be skipping a line or two from the manga, italicized below:

Succubi who try to be productive members of the society , like you...They're real rare. Granted, the politicians are still trying to address succubus living conditions.
(When suggesting Sato should eventually get married) Nothing to do with the government trying to get succubi to get married.

So, the succubi is a vocal minority (or at least a very visual one) in-universe?

They are the most affected by their condition, even more than Dullahans in a way.

Having to live in isolated regions and get little sleep must suck.

Oh snap, it's over already! I hope a second season is in the works! I predict at least a couple OV As, but I'd really like another season.

I mean, we never found out the deal with detective kid, or anything about male demis. I guess there's always the manga.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

I may have to pick up volume 4 when I get back over to Japan, but from what I can see there isn't actually that much out beyond what you can find translated on the 'net.

It's been fun.

Aw, man, it's over. I want more. Mooooooore.

That was kind of a fanservice episode? Even if a lot of it was unseen, hahaha.

Nice attention to detail: you can see the light reflecting off Satake's binoculars when Sakki looks up at the sky.

Speaking of Sakki, dang. So sexy. And just as predicted it's what does Satake in. evil grin

Dense iron man is dense. And not just because he sucks at swimming.

Speaing of Iron Man, dang. So sexy. Those abs. DAMN.

And now back to the spot where Tetsuo encountered his first demi. Great punchline to that one, too.

Nice of them to invite the other two girls.

She didn't really hold back a lot with that swimsuit. Or at all.

I'm not sure it's that he's so dense as much as he's too distracted to think all that clearly. He had some funny reactions. Although I suppose they're even on that front...

She tried to worm her way out of that one. She really tried. Too bad he knows how to handle her.

I think in general it's Sakie's enthusiasm running up against Tetsuo's obliviousness to her affections and self-control as a teacher.

Then again, I think what's his face gave Sakie exactly the wrong advice when he essentially told her to seduce him physically first. I really don't like that guy anyway, though.

It's been fun.

It's over! sad On one hand I'm happy that they adapted it at all, but on the other, making a manga with so few chapters into an anime means that we'll never get a second season. I hope they'll do a special someday.

Anyway, watched the last 2 episodes in a row, they were pretty good as usual. In my book this series only had two supbar episodes (6 & 7), all the others were quite above average. They could have adapted Kurtz out and nothing would have changed.

The part about the girls being dependent on sensei was interesting, and the video they made, while a bit long, was effective and nailed their attitudes and characters. I also liked that they showed Those Two Guys and the former bullies opening up to the demis. The final episode was also cute, funny and heartwarming, with a rare example of tasteful and meaningful fanservice. (Sakie's face after seeing how RIPPED Iron Man is was beautiful) Also, nice Book Ends. I will miss these characters a lot, and I'm not a huge fan of slice-of-life series!

Anyone else find it ironic that the series closes with a cheesy Title Drop just like Monster Musume?

"Effective Altruism" is just another bunch of horsesh*t.

I'm glad A-1 managed to do the series justice, was worried when I first saw the promo material.

As for the final scene, I'm still wondering why Hikari is so fixated on those Odango Hair?

Just saw the OVA and I'm not sure if it was the episode itself or just getting a fix of something after being deprived of it but I think that was the best episode of the series.

So many little call backs, and the stringer almost seems to be setting up for a second season.

I'll have to track the OVA down this evening.

Also, is it just me, or did the manga series just kind of end suddenly? I actually can't check to see how far the volumes I see in bookshelves go because they plastic-wrap them so you can't just loiter around and read, but even so I feel like the only material that was covered in the anime was stuff I had already read back when I found this series a year or two ago.

It's been fun.

Watched the OAV... wow that set up for an S2 quite well with that stinger.

Invisible girls must be the new fad too as she is the second one we have seen this year.

Because Naked People Are Funny and this way they don't need the divine light of Heaven for censorship. I'd love to know more about little miss invisible.

But it was great seeing the cast again. Himari gets to show off her Hikari-ness too. Hikari getting blinded by the lights cracked me up. Yuki shows she's boss at water balloon fishing. Satou is still goofy cute (APHRODISIAC TERRORISM).
