The OVA is out and stuff. No subs yet.
Manga chapter check: Chapter 52 has Iruru interacting with a human boy on job, chapter 53 is about trying to find the right maid costume to Kobayashi, chapter 54 is more focused on the boys, chapter 55 is about company and working conditions, and chapter 56 is learning magic with Tohru.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!...the translation kind of sucks.
I wish I had access to the raws. ._.
Iruru and the boy was hillarious.
"Pervert."
"I don't want to hear that from someone who undresses in the middle of a shop!"
Also, the first chapter of a spin-off focusing on Elma is out. It's actually pretty interesting and we get a better insight into her motives. She just wants to take Tooru back because she misses her friend.
Huh. Didn't we already know that, though? It is pretty much par for the course with these dragons!
It's been fun.For good times sake, the OVA
- For new stuff, stuff with Kanna and Saikawa (Kanna wasn't yet in school in the manga), Lucoa and Shouta (latter wasn't even in the manga at that point) and Elma (same thing) and Fafnir in Valentine's portion. Also Tohru gave the love chocolate to Kanna when she wanted some chocolate outright (since she thought it would have no effect on her). As for hot springs, the fact that most of the chapter was really more about discussing about dragon's physical bodies at the hot spring with some interaction between Takiya and Fafnir than anything else, the journey itself was expanded upon.
- Chapters adapted are 10 (Valentine's Day) and 33 (Hot Springs)
Also, noticed a new chapter in the manga. Chapter 57, where certain father has things to say.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! The translation in the scans really sucks.
Huh, I guess a new translation came up. Chapter 58, where Tohru's line of actions are shown before the fateful meeting.
Christ, dragon Lucoa is actually rather terrifying.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Okay, yeah Lucola dragon form is just awesome.
Man, Tooru has quite a past behind herself.
Yeah, it's the moment in the manga where you go, "Well, sh*t'' and you realize that there are dragons, and there are DRAGONS.
This, and the chapter where Tooru and Elma get in a fight and the explosion reaches like way into space, really put the usual antics into perspective.
I really want to get into this anime (I'm not really a manga/comics/graphic novels kinda guy) for the cuteness and dragons, but the thing with Lucoa constantly sexually harassing an underage boy is really, really hard to get past. And I've read that the mangaka used to draw explicitly sexual manga with a similar premise.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?The shameless big breasted girl is a staple of his works yeah but they run the full gambit of targets including Yuri works.
Yeah, Lucoa's honestly handled really poorly. So is Riko; they're both characters who have potential aside from the pretty gross "jokes" they're constantly shoved into, but they both get Flanderized almost immediately after introduction.
Scenes like Riko comforting Kanna after Tohru goes back to the dragon realm are really cute, but that's one appearance versus the unfunny Lonely Island joke she is in every other episode.
It's been fun.Started reading the manga, currently finished ch. 30.
I like it. Not much else to say.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Flanderized in both media arts?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.YMMV on Lucoa and Riko. They seemed generally fine to me.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The artist has done some other lewd works, so it's not surprising that some naughtiness leaked into this series.
I'm waiting for the translations of the Kanna mini series.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I count 30 chapters spread across three volumes that have already been translated and are available on aggregator sites such as Kiss Manga.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus., And I own the first volume already translated and released in English by Seven Seas.
Time to hunt down the print copy then :D
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!
It's due to how their appearances are spread out in the manga versus the anime. In the manga, I think it was literally months before we saw Luccoa again. Ditto for everyone else who wasn't in Kobayashi's immediate "family".
The anime instead turned her into a drop-in character (likely to maximize the use of her voice actress).
Which is fine; I just wish her drop-in joke wasn't her trying to hit on Shouta.
It's been fun.Anime jokes...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.
And Iruru finally managed to form actual hands at some point.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
