I like how Waxing says ARMS has no depth, but when I talked about ARMS to a friend who's a pro Smash player, he claims (from my secondhand description of when I had my hands-on time) that ARMS might be the next big thing and already has a neutral game.
My Twitch.Lack of special moves, combos, and at least a weak attack/heavy attack system doesn't sound like my idea of a good time.
There's a reason why more stripped-down games like Divekick are relegated to being joke games more than anything.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Have you played it enough to say there's no depth to counteract the claims of people that have played who think it is a worthwhile fighter?
I don't know if it will be competitively viable. We won't know until it releases. But general consensus that I've seen says that there's actual meat to the gameplay. Here's one account.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Counterpoint: Towerfall has none of those things, and it still is very competitive and fun.
You know, Waxing, it'd be a ton easier on yourself if you just said, "I just feel this way for myself, not that I'm speaking for others."
And yet you keep trying to argue your opinion is fact for everyone.
My Twitch. And you just have to do it in every single thread.
Where there's life, there's hope. You know, the thing I hate most about the game is how hard it is to search it up on social sites.
Where there's life, there's hope.I know. The Arms tag on Tumblr is mostly bodybuilding.
The problem is that search bars can't differentiate between all caps and normal capitalizations, so you get a mix of things.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectJust add another tag like "Nintendo Switch."
Famitsu interview with the producer. Some notable things:
- This was never a concept for a boxing game. The tactics are supposed to revolve around the delay in your attacks connecting.
- There will be more characters with more arms.
- Both characters and arms will have attributes that are strong against another, so strengths and weaknesses can be balanced out.
- There will be more modes than the single-player and online mode.
- The different modes are supposed to help grow your skill in 1v1 matches, so this isn't being made as a party game.
- It's playable with just one Joy-Con, but it's a bit limited.
I think we can cut it off.
Where there's life, there's hope. Can anyone translate the Japanese in these videos? Just uploaded to Nintendo's Japanese You Tube.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMakes me appreciate the character designs even more. Mummy having a healing ability reflects bandages being correlated with medical care, while Spring Man getst stronger when his HP is low because springs store energy when pushed.

Nice observation.
Now if only Spring Man had increased defense at lower health, then I would talk about plastic deformation and strain hardening.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.Springs are sometimes made of metal. I'm pretty sure that's what his springs are made of.
Where there's life, there's hope. You know, I've been skeptical on this game for a while.
But floppy salamander slap hands? I can't say no to that.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI bet there's more. Can't wait to see what other hands they have.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectBeing able to mix and match arms is going to widen the depth a lot more than I initially thought this would have. Gotta be crafty on which attributes you want to bring into battle. I wonder if the left and right arms will differ in any way?
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I think the only difference is which is your preferred punching hand.
My Twitch.I'm guessing the boomerang fists will be the only weapon that differs based on the orientation. That is, the fist will only flank with respect of the side it is on. Then again, this is hardly what I would call "different" since the fists will still function in the same way.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. How much of a difference do you think being hard to flinch makes?
Also, how many people will try to record themselves doing the flurry while yelling ORAORAORA or ATATATATATATA?

Wake me up at your own risk.
I've seen some characters with "quirks" of their own. Master Mummy regens health if you guard for more than a second or 2, and Ninjaro has a teleport for a dodge.
