I honestly don't know about this. Bacon, but a meme still just sounds vague and chairs. I think honestly, this is going to get misuse no matter what we name it for bacon exists since too much of the actual meme is just the existence of bacon as a thing.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWe're making it In Universe Examples Only.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBacon existing In-Universe is no more tropeworthy than bacon existing as an audience reaction.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYes, we discussed all this previously. Obviously, "Bacon exists" is not a trope. That's what the crowner says. We're hoping that an appropriate and clear-enough name, such as Bacon Is Ambrosia will get the point across. If that's not the case, well, it won't be the first time a repair effort failed. But assuming that this is beyond repair before we even try seems a bit defeatist. And, not what concensus has decided.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I'm still not sure what point you're trying to get across. The new title does not make it sound less like bacon exists and frankly, neither does your proposed definition.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThe one stated in the crowner sounds less specific.
To clarify, the new definition is when an in-universe person (or people) thinks bacon is awesome. Not just when bacon exists. Because of the "memetic" quality of bacon IRL, we have to make sure the examples come from the work itself and not as a reaction from the audience.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. Its not that 'bacon exists' it is more like 'people go crazy for bacon', its related to Trademark Favorite Food but its expected to be everyone's fav food, so much that bingeing on it and bacon trances are things in works.
Someone who says 'they do not like bacon' will be immediately ostracized and berated.
And that is a trope?

We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. It's generally not comedic though. It's a throwaway line at best.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWould it be best if we take the decided definition to TLP to see if it's worth keeping and cut Bacon Addiction after moving the relevant examples to the draft?

Was there ever a draft in TLP created? It's been three months. Searching for "bacon" in TLP gives this list, which doesn't appear to have the TLP draft suggested in ... I looked in TLP Launches and TLP Discards from late April to the present, and there doesn't seem to be the proposed trope either.
It seems like this trope could just be cut for the problem of "bacon exists" not being a trope. Plus the problem of nobody caring enough to make the proposed definition into its own trope...
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyBacon is the New Ambrosia! BACAMBROSIA! Bacongasm.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔OK, folks. If you want to make a trope about bacon, it behoves that you have something ready to work on before the crowner stage, not first vote then figure out whether the concept is tropeworthy at all.
I'll re-clock this. If there isn't anything forthcoming, this page will simply be cut without a substitute trope being created.

As per Septimus's post, let's cut this and call it done.

Added Bacon Addiction to the Cut List.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyOkay, good to hear. I'll cut it, then close the thread.
